Loss for me this one. Hull are a better team than Sunderland and have had an extra day off. I think wednesday will have taken a lot out of the legs. When they beat the press Philogene, Carvalho and Zaroury will.be incredibly dangerous. 4-2 to them Chose a lower energy strategy and rotate helic hogg and burzog in lees rudoni and koroma to the bench

We are at home, we have a different energy and approach from a few weeks ago, a couple of players back so we make the game. ?

Hull aren’t pulling up any trees. In 2024 they’ve lost to Birmingham, Norwich, Swansea and Wednesday. Scrappy 1-0 against Millwall and the disgusting rabona goal the difference against Rotherham. Yes they have quality individuals but I don’t think their threat is any greater than Sunderland’s.

Cunning plan: Pick Ward and tell him to kick Carvalho into row Z in the first 5 minutes. New female ref won’t have the bottle to send him off so early in the game. Then quickly substitute him and replace him with a footballer - simples 😎

Nicholls
Pearson Helik Balker Spencer
Hogg Matos
Thomas Wiles burgzorg
Radulovic
Rudoni needs a rest as does Koroma, Lees and Kasumu. I would also rest Thomas but we have absolutely no cover there.
If we can get a game out of Thomas tomorrow I would look to rest him for watford and swop him with Koroma.

No Healey at all in your squad? Surely Healey in over Jones Jones can fill either wing. Healey misses out for Bojan.

We are also a bit of a bogey team for Hull, even though they scraped a last gasp win at the KC.

Unless they’ve improved a lot Hull were shit at theirs, possibly because of our spoiling tactics, but they were certainly not impressive and looked like a team that could be got at.
Have to admit we didn’t stay until the end and see their goal but I don’t think we have anything to be worried about, they’re very similar to Sunderland in that they think they’re going to play their way out of the division with good football.
They’ll have a lot of the ball and look to pick us apart with decisive passing. We need to get about them, frustrate and break quickly.
They’re ripe for a full on Breitner-ball press them high, disrupt and counter attack beating.
Town 2- 1 Hull
UTT

Anyone know if the new man going to be introduced to the fans at half-time tomorrow? Hopefully we'll see some more gung-ho football. I'm getting used to this 'getting entertained' lark. Worthy moving about in his area is even a cause for excitement after months of watching Daz Boore stood like a statue looking utterly hapless.

Even if we get the full 90 out of Sorba he'll still have a full week between games which should do him fine. And is the new coach just going to not pick him in his first game when he needs a good first impression

I reckon our best team right now looks like: Nicholls Pearson Balker Helik Spencer Matos Kasumu Thomas Rudoni Koroma Burgzorg Hope we can get somewhere close to this tomrorrow. This is spot on for me. Kas and Matos to start on the front foot, then Hogg comes in when Matos is fucked on 65 mins (when we’re 2-0 up). This. I’d like to see Hogg developing in to the Whitehead role, there when needed and to see out games and not starting every game going forwards. The energy Matos and Kasumu provide puts us on the front foot.

Jon’s last game after what has been a really enjoyable couple of weeks.
I think he will carry on in the same vein, and go for them from the off.
I might rest Lees if he has options, I would also be tempted to play wiles ahead of rudhoni.
Thomas, Koroma and Della (if fit have to start ).

Got a mate to go today, never seen Town, He’s a Chester fan. Soo let’s all get behind the team which I think after Wednesday we all will But it’s not just about today so if we don’t get the right result today let’s not all kick off, it’s what happens beyond that really matters.

Don't think Town have ever been a bullying team. High press and energetic maybe.

I think we've had a lot of bad fouls against us this season! Take the body check against Kasumu the other night! We need to get tougher and I think we did against Sunderland, they knew they had been in a game! More of the same today please.

Unless it someone who are in the realm of Leicester (i.e. too good for the division) then we've got to be hoping to beat most other teams at home (especially when we're actually playing pretty well at the moment)..

Hull have picked up 16 more bookings than us this season. Maybe he needs to look in his own backyard before commenting on ours the fucking hypocrite.

Think we may have to settle for a draw today after the full on effort on Wednesday. 1-1

Think we may have to settle for a draw today after the full on effort on Wednesday. 1-1 Many posters commented the same mid week as apparently the players had given everything at Southampton. It’s their job to fall on their feet with exhaustion after every game.

Guessing Balker will be out today, anyone heard anything? The way he went straight off on Wednesday tells me it was more than just precaution, we could go with Yuta/Jackson at left back in a back four? The best way the players could thank Worthy (& Co) would be another home clean sheet, he wouldn't mind if Danny Ward came on & stole a bit of limelight with a late winner......3 in a row would be some achievement in our position. UTT.
