I hope it's 3rd time lucky as far as manager appointments is concerned.. Surely they can't get it wrong AGAIN ? MC and JE can and will.

Someone named Sean Maloney as being on a shortlist of three at the time AB was appointed. It wasn’t long ago and he’s got L1 experience after all, so…….another easy option? I don't know if it would be a good appointment, but we don't want another easy option. I’ve no opinion on Maloney, someone on here said he was shortlisted along with an unnamed bloke (FC) and AB. I was told privately that AB was Kevin Nagle’s choice and he overrode Edwards and Cartwright who wanted someone else. If Maloney was genuinely on that shortlist then it’d probably be no surprise to see if he was still interested. Personally I wanted Michael Duff after Moore’s sacking. I said that based on what he’d achieved at Cheltenham and how he came across on TV. He’d still be my choice. If Duff is happy to leave home at 5am to drive 4 hours each way every day to and from Cheltenham then so be it.

Bit disappointed really, I’d hoped he’d stay on, but shows where we currently are. Wrong time for him to come in, but his CV looked bang on for the sort of candidate who could have done well for us in the Champioship.
I genuinely hope this is the bottom of our current downward spiral, when you look at other clubs who’ve been through similar it might not be. The main thing is that our owner remains engaged and makes the hard decisions when they need to be made.
Thats what happened last time and when I look at other clubs of similar stature that’s the way it goes.

After 13 games it looked like nothing but shite though. Literally until the wins against Stockport and Carlisle in the Autoglass Trophy, and the last 13 league games most town fans would have readily binned him off. Warnock's 1993/94 town team was shite for the first 34 league games of his tenure. Not just shite, but probably the second shittest HTFC team (after Wadsworth 10 years later) since I became a fan in 1987. Yet we're writing Breitenreiter off after 13 games including some genuine mitigating circumstances? How many were saying that about DM and just about everybody was glad he was dumped although it was a lot too late. With some managers you can see what they are trying to do from the first game with others it can take some time. with AB I don't believe we have seen a sign of anything apart from us dropping 11 points against other relegation teams. From being 5 points clear of relegation when he came we were 6 points from safety at the end. All this and less than a point a game it is not surprising that most want him gone. Do most want him gone? I've seen more support than opposition for him. As for Darren Moore, two answers there: 1) AB's CV. His achievements elsewhere suggest that he could be absolutely bloody superb for us. There's reason to suppose that other circumstances prevented him from being able to show what he could do, but that with a preseason and a transfer window we'd see more of what he is capable of. 2) Recent weeks have actually given me a bit more sympathy for Darren Moore. He was still a bad appointment (and the claim that he played attacking football was bizarre. Suggested that either MC was trying to pull the wool over our eyes or he didn't have a clue what he'd just brought in), but watching an old "inside training" video gives an indication of what he was working with. He's full of encouragement but the body language of the players suggested our failure on Darren Moore's watch wasn't wholly down to Darren Moore.

No one comes out of this looking good. The circus continues and it would appear the clowns are running the show. It has been a clown run club since we were promoted to the Premiership with daft signings and ridiculous money spent. That went into an era of selling any quality we had and buying ex-Town has beens, injured or lower league punts we have been skating on ice for some time now.

Good.
He somehow, incredibly, made us even worse than under Darren Moore!
Some job he did 👏
There can’t have been many permanent Town managers with an inferior record.

Do we think he'll drop to a league 1 team having been unlucky to get sacked from a championship club that narrowly missed out on the play-offs? Surely he'll have other championship clubs looking to retain his services. Not saying I'm against him by the way.

So we're going to be lumbered with these players for yet another season? Fucking marvellous. We are an absolute shambles. Now looking for our seventh permanent manager in less than two years. Before 2022, our shortest serving manager was John Haselden, who lasted 160 days in 1977. Since September 2022, that record has been broken four times. Danny Schofield lasted 69 days, Andre Breitenreiter has lasted 85 days, Darren Moore lasted 130 days and Mark Fotheringham lasted 133 days. Won’t be long before we’ve a new bloke in charge proclaiming ‘everyone starts with a clean slate’. Absolute shambles !! And then when he can't get a tune out of them, rinse and repeat.

If he doesn't have the stomach to show just how brilliant he is in League One then fuck him and good riddance. At least I got to see every game he won.

I like Nagle I really do but I cannot believe he’s putting full faith in Cartwright, it beggars belief it really does.
He’s been here less than 12 months and we are already looking for our 4th permanent manager, oversaw the worst summer window in recent memory, managed to spend £4 million pounds In January on absolute dross. On the back of this the chairman has full faith in him, you couldn’t make it up !! Absolutely no confidence the next manager will be any improvement at all. My prediction is we’ll be lower mid table come October / November and looking for another manager.

Shiten righter. Bit like post nut clarity, now he’s gone, it’s a good thing. Let’s have someone excited to be at Town. Someone who will work the hours Carlos and Lee Clark put in and gets the supporters. Someone who needs a promotion on their CV. Darren Bullock for me, he gets it. If he doesn't want it then it's got to be Heff.

If you don’t want to be part of our club then close the door on your way out. You’ll be quickly forgotten. Whoever this new manager is going to be they better hit the ground running and no arms around the shoulders of these charlatans that are taking the piss out of our team. I’m sick of managers calling out players with no end game. Let’s just get going with the right manager, right squad, take no prisoners. Automatic promotion is the only aim, whoever the gaffer is.

I'm saddened that he's chosen not to stay but as time wore on I did wonder if his mind was made up and that it was more about negotiating a payout.
Mutual consent? No, it wasn't. KN made it clear that he wanted him to stay. AB wanted to leave, but knew the club needed to appoint quickly and doubtless used that as a bargaining chip for a payout rather than a resignation which would have left him with nothing.
Not a surprise, but it is a disappointment.

This He can use every excuse he wants but DM got more out of the same pool of players - in fact DM had less as he had injury problems and didn't have the January signings like Matos and Healy

The only poll I have seen was on here and that showed a vote in favour of him going. Not proof, but more that I have seen from anywhere else. 1) CV's. If you interview enough people you get to know that what is in a CV is not always what comes across in an interview. CV's are a guide and need to be treated with care. 2) DM I think his results at Poet Vale have shown that we should have got rid of him a lot sooner than we did. I wonder what a video of a Port Vale training session would show, my guess the same as was seen at Town.

At least it’s sorted in a week
As I’ve said why would a Swiss champions manager / top half Bundesliga 1 / promoted Bundesliga 2 want to manage in division 3 in Huddersfield Town - great CV challenging. Not in a relation scrap of Stevenege away
Obvious outcome. KN & co needs to act fast let’s see these contingencies - remove talk of Pep Ljinders 😂 Anthony Barry 😂- what about Pep 😂 Ancelotti may want a fresh challenge? DATM on the Friday beers here!
Now needs sorting within a week - damage limitation / managing expectations now

I have realised my post about Stone Island and it Giving me 'Nazi Vibes' Could have been related to André Breitenreiter with him being German. I want to make it clear that I was referring to the Stone Island Brand alone and it's fascist associations. I did not intend this to relate this AB in any way. Sorry for the confusion. I did not intend to offend.

Shame he’s gone because he actually had the balls to call out what a shitshow the club is. There’s more to this than meets the eye as he said. Will we ever hear more - I hope so because some of these players do not deserve to remain at the club nor get any form of support. It’s now down to Cartwright and whoever else handles transfers to get Headley, Sulky Sorba and the rest of the bad eggs and deadwood out. Burgzorg is probably still at the airport trying to dance round the baggage carousel. Tosser. Hopefully the new man is on his way. Relegation annoyed me, the Andre saga has irritated me. It’s time for this club to show some spine, remember its history and start acting in its own best interest. Get rid of these spineless twats who are more interested in Instagram and pissing about with dumb haircuts and £300 trackie bottoms. Get lads in who want to be at my/our club and to fight for us. We should be going into League One ready to steamroller it. Time to show the football world who Huddersfield Town are; not the stupid little underdog anymore, we are the Yorkshire Terriers ready to growl, bite and fight our way back. Are you available to give the pre-match team talks next season?

I just hope we haven't given him any compensation. He wanted for walk for weeks, part of me thinks he was hoping to be sacked so he wouldn't have to resign and get nothing.
Now idea who'd want to come here given how many managers we've gone through in the last few years.
