We have turned into what the kids these days call a "banter club".
We lurch from one crisis to the next, with consummate ease.
For fuck's sake, can someone get a grip on this club?

Bit of a twat move from him really as others have said. You don't come out and say everything he did if you don't intend to stick around to sort it. He probably said it to be on the front foot regarding his next potential job.

And you think 13 games and no transfer window is enough to fix years of chronic underinvestment? Riiiiight. Well, AB obviously thought 13 games was enough to decide to quite mid contract..despite the fact he had 3 months ahead of him to rebuild his own team..the problem i guess is as you say, years of under investment has caught up with us, not helped by a scattering of poor decision making. It's an opportunity though for someone, there's money there..we're out of the limelight and basically it's a blank canvas..
Let's hope it's a blank cheque! ☺️

Whoever was responsible for managerial appointments and squad building this season should hang their head in shame. And shut the door on their way out.

13 games and more rants than wins, yes the squad is piss poor and has a serious attitude problem but what about his? Thinks he’s above league one despite showing nothing to prove that with subs/ line ups and to top it off completely digging players on his way out making it harder for us to shift them now..all talk and more than happy to see the back of him.

Based on his time with us, his own inflated opinion of his abilities compared to what he actually achieved is Fotheringhamesque. Got to go down as one of the worst managers we've had. Correct

I feel indifferent about him going. I was happy for him to stay given the managerial merry go round we seem to have been on in the last few years, a bit of stability, but let's face it, we've been shite under him, culminating in relegation. So, with a shrug of the shoulders we seek our 15th manager in ghd last 2 years.

Just put him in charge of preseason and summer transfers, then bring someone else in.

Shame he’s gone because he actually had the balls to call out what a shitshow the club is. There’s more to this than meets the eye as he said. Will we ever hear more - I hope so because some of these players do not deserve to remain at the club nor get any form of support. It’s now down to Cartwright and whoever else handles transfers to get Headley, Sulky Sorba and the rest of the bad eggs and deadwood out. Burgzorg is probably still at the airport trying to dance round the baggage carousel. Tosser. Hopefully the new man is on his way. Relegation annoyed me, the Andre saga has irritated me. It’s time for this club to show some spine, remember its history and start acting in its own best interest. Get rid of these spineless twats who are more interested in Instagram and pissing about with dumb haircuts and £300 trackie bottoms. Get lads in who want to be at my/our club and to fight for us. We should be going into League One ready to steamroller it. Time to show the football world who Huddersfield Town are; not the stupid little underdog anymore, we are the Yorkshire Terriers ready to growl, bite and fight our way back. Are you available to give the pre-match team talks next season? Would love to ambryboy 😂 Might be a few more issues than shirts getting ripped or cups getting smashed though.

Disappointing that the person who oversaw relegation to the third tier isn't up for the challenge. Can't see him having a future in this country now with such a bad win record.
He now becomes yesterday's news as he effectively is for HTAFC.
Moving forwards, what a huge opportunity for a manager with a great club in League One. Whoever is appointed, let's all back him with everything we have and prove that we really are a Championship team in 12 months time.
On that subject, realistic targets right now could be Grant McCann or Darren Ferguson.

I don't really care about AB, it's over now and let's move on from him. I think he is right about our problems though, which means that going forward, i'm now EXTREMELY concerned with the situation we find ourselves in.
I WILL give Mr. Nagle and the club the benefit of the doubt and hope they prove me (and many more) wrong but as it stands right now it all looks set for another disaster IMO and if I had to bet I would say it looks like a stronger possibility that we get relegated yet again than promoted from league one.
The reason for my very pessimistic outlook on this are because of a a few different points, firstly after listening to Kevin's latest interview it sounded to me like the issues Andre has been speaking about were new to him, meaning that either Cartwright and Edwards didn't tell him which makes them untrustworthy, or they didn't know about the issues which makes them incompetent. With Nagle announcing they will both stay and that he has a lot of trust in them i'm concerned that Nagle is either fooled by these two or is completely out of his depth in regards to what our real issues are.
If they indeed didn't know (Nagle, Cartwright and Edwards) they will either work hard this summer to ensure change is made (this is my hope), but they might also stick their heads in the sand and not do what is necessary or more likely underestimate how bad the situation is, leaving us in the exact same situation once again. For example if the next manager is appointed in a few weeks and starts from scratch with this group of players.
If they knew about these problems however, I don't see any sign at all that anything will change. If Nagle has given Cartwright and Edwards his backing to continue, why would anything change now and not earlier if all problems were known?
Like I said earlier, I hope they all prove me wrong and I will give them the chance to. Let's start by announcing the retained list TONIGHT, than a new manager next week along with the departures of Sorba, Headley and co.

Just imagining you stood at the top of Castle Hill - Mel Gibson style issuing that rallying call😀 Totally agree with your points. The players in question were being paid a fortune whilst we were all sat there agonising at our demise. Absolutely no respect for the club or its fans. The Operational Directors will hopefully assist the new appointment in making sure nothing like this happens again.

Maynard did say they would be very surprised if he stayed. Got to hope the club already have it narrowed down to 3 outstanding candidates.
Two issues, 1) Cartwright wouldn’t no outstanding if it slapped him in the face. 2) KN has shown absolutely nothing so far to suggest he has good decision making at running an English football league club.

What an asshole move by Breitenreiter. I’m not blaming home for the relegation we have been averaging a point a game all season. However he knew we were in trouble and walks anyway. And too two weeks to make his mind up. Glad to see the back of him after that.
I hope we get someone with league one and championship experience. Don’t need another foreign coach who doesn’t know what he’s facing.

Great way to shred your reputation. Wouldn’t be surprised if he never does anything of note in football again. Reflects very poorly on his character, blame the players and then leave as soon as possible
We need a strong, winning character in quickly to give us some optimism for next season or things could unravel quickly.
Can’t believe this has been announced 2 days after season ticket have gone on sale - shambolic.

Just put him in charge of preseason and summer transfers, then bring someone else in. I’ve been debating all season if this topped the Marcus Stewart sale. I don’t even know why i was questioning, it’s not even close. Hands down the dumbest decision made at Huddersfield Town in living memory. Dumber than buying Diabenza, dumber than selling to Phil, dumber than the manager saying we want a tall and strong striker and literally just signing THE tallest and THE strongest striker, dumber than a Premier League club hiring a manger/pe teacher mistaken for Martin from Wakefield, dumber than playing Ryan Schofield as a sweeper keeper and many more dumb stuff.

So we're going to be lumbered with these players for yet another season? Fucking marvellous. We are an absolute shambles. Now looking for our seventh permanent manager in less than two years. Before 2022, our shortest serving manager was John Haselden, who lasted 160 days in 1977. Since September 2022, that record has been broken four times. Danny Schofield lasted 69 days, Andre Breitenreiter has lasted 85 days, Darren Moore lasted 130 days and Mark Fotheringham lasted 133 days. Not a good stat is it. We are a proper basket case of a club. I fear my wife’s prediction that we will be playing Boston Utd again is coming true ☹️
