I’d be interested to know how he manages his players, is he a “man manager”, is he authoritarian? Does he work them to death?, is he heavy on tactics etc etc… Really hope the playerslike his method and respect his experience. The squad is decent now, so if he can get them all to buy in to how he does things, there’s no reason why there can’t be some exciting times ahead. Not least in terms of their attitude. Whether you rate the ability of one player or another, there isn't a single one who I suggest isn't putting in the effort.

Anyone allble to go ask for fans of his previous clubs opinions?

Looks a very good appointment on paper and very ambitious. His CV is very impressive and as someone mentioned way better than Steve Cooper's who we all wanted! I wonder how good his English is? Wonder if the backroom team win necessarily be German? I remember Wagner had Hughes and the fella who used to play for Liverpool who's name I can't remember. I guess they don't necessarily have to know each other. Not heard him speak but Germans tend to speak pretty good English Have to agree with that. Even though my German is pretty good I lost count of the amount of times I started a conversation in Germany only for the other person to stop me and say "I speak English"

Let's wait and see what his press conference is like before we decide if he'll be a good manager or not.

Anyone who had any doubts over the ambition of KN - think again. Breitenreiter has taken some convincing, as reported he has had a lot of options over the last year or so but the feeling is in Germany his stock is a little low atm despite doing some great work at Paderborn & Schalke as we all know in football you"re only as good as your last job. He sees the project at Town as his "speciality" which is overachieving with an "underdog" he has proven the ability to do this over his career. His key strength is uniting a club & I have heard he is a very warm & genuine person not massively motivated by money but more so by core values & culture at a club. A real family man he took a couple of years out of the game before the Zurich job to care for his Father with dementia who has since sadly passed. He is very confident & clear in his philosophy. Hope it goes well, nothing is guaranteed but IMO this is as good as an appointment we could have made. UTT He sounds great but I hope he isn't going to say we're the smallest team to ever reach the Premier League when we go up in May

Definitely a sense of excitement again with Town for me.
- a good January transfer window, signed some players we badly needed, added depth, brought back Spencer and didn’t lose any key players - sacked Moore - energy, pressing and attacking intent back under Worthy who has done everything which could be expected from a caretaker manager - appointed someone who has an excellent track record, far more exciting on the face of it than any manager we have appointed over the last 20+ years (Warnock aside)
Just need to keep the momentum going now, get safe, realise season ticket prices that are not too big of an increase from this season. I would hope 10-20% maximum as an increase. Let’s try get the stadium full for the rest of this season, and next season, and with some smart investment in the summer who knows where we could go next year.

Hope he does say errm or mention scaffolding in his first press conference. Ah balls, he’s quoted in the German press as having said he’s spoken to Fotheringham, before accepting the job, to get advice about the current squad due to his standing in German football after working with Felix Magarth and Jurgen Klinnsman.

If he sings Marching on Together or does that weird chest wanking thing he can fuck off, premier league or not.

There is sun and blue sky outside, we have just made what looks like a very good managerial appointment, and the Tories have been arseholed in two by elections. Happy Friday. UTT

I going to have to reference him as AB as there's no way I'm getting all those letters and accents correct.

Anybody any idea when his press conference is going to be? I would guess early next week given it said on the press release yesterday he’s starting w/c 19th and is sorting visa items out this week. Makes sense to finish Saturday with Worthy in charge and the new guy from Monday.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I hope all those cuckold fellas who couldn't attend Wednesday night as they were getting their annual leg over decide to turn up. The crowd Wednesday was poor.
Worthy deserves a rapturous send off, good times ahead!
