The revenue needs to increase in many ways not just season ticket sales. - Season tickets will go up to what extent may depend on the last 8 results but honestly there is a big argument that in L1 the ticket prices might actually be higher rather than lower than in the Championship, due to massive reduction in revenue in L1. I expect around the £350.00 mark and some nice little add ons includes. - Merch the club shop and product offering will improve in the summer so an increase in revenue will be expected. - The stadium, this is the biggest one and once sorted and HTAFC have control then we can have a better revenue from the match day sales, also expect a lot of concerts booked during the summers once we have ownership sorted including some big name artists. I think we will look to try and create a kind of Piece Hall type Summer program with 4-6weeks worth of gigs and one stage set up, this will more the likely be summer 2025. - Around the ground, increasing the matchday experience with a bar / location to go before and after games. - Sponsorship / Advertising oppertunities, expect some bigger names to be introduced to HTAFC with more investment, could even see some cross Atlantic joint sponsorships with HTAFC and Sac Rep to increase the global reach. The club are working on a lot behind the scenes to increase revenue in all areas and the season tickets is one area but not the only one and they all add up so say 1 million on season tickets as above, and then add all the other parts in we could be looking at a significant increase in revenue allowing more to be spent on the team as we look to challenge at the top end of the Championship in future seasons. It will be a lot easier to acheive everything if we can finish the final 8 games in a good way, but even in L1 we will be fine jsut got to hope we stay up this season to see the real plans and ideas come the summer. Thanks for the update, Kev. He likes to think he’s Kev but in reality he’s just a loser.

Rich or Poor the small increases being discussed should really not be a massive issue for most town fans, honestly if it is an issue and money is so tight I am not sure that person should be buying a season ticket if it is £250, £300, £350, or £500. I am not trying to be dick here but if you cant afford to pay an extra £50 / £100 for the full season of games that is still umbelievable value then I think you should serious consider what you are spending the money on and maybe there is more important things to spend it on like food and energy bills. I know that each home game I spend far more money on travel to the game, some drinks and food while out than what the matchday ticket cost.
£250.00 = £10.87per home game £300.00 = £13.04per home game £350.00 = £15.22per home game £450.00 = £19.56per home game
£20.00 or below for Championship football is excellent value, the £350 mark which is about what i expect prices to be is £15.00per game there is very little you can do for this price now.
Look at Bristol match day prices £35.00 for our tickets I think it is, makes you really see that £10.00 per game is just too low and not sustainable in any way, sensible pricing and I think only a very small minority will complain, the same ones who probably moaned when we brought Warnock back, moaned when we let him go, cheered when we re signed Ward and Ruffles, Moan now that we re signed Ward and Ruffles, Loved Dean Hoyle, later hated Dean Hoyle, Loved Kevin Nagle, now constantly abuse Kevin Nagle on social media.
Fans need to get on board, prices are increasing for season tickets L1 or Championship its going to happen to what extent will be announced soon, they are however only increasing because unfortunatly they have been too low for sometime.

You usually spout a lot of nonsense but I'll bite: if the club increase tickets MORE upon relegation then they have seriously lost the plot I didnt say there would be a bigger increase if in L1 but there is 100% an argument to say that the tickets would need to be higher due to massivly reduced revenue from the EFL and TV money, our wage bill would be cut but not as much as it would need to be, unless a number of players are sold. Its my understanding that prices for season tickets would be the same next season no matter which league we are in and this will be announced soon, we are maybe waiting for a couple of more positive results to come before announcing. A couple of "positive" results? So we are looking at mid July then after we beat another couple of pub teams in Cornwall

I am pretty sure our pre season will not be in Cornwall and it will be a lot more intense and against better teams, something that may place us in a better postion to start the season well and reduce the number of injuries.

Some seem to be missing the point that it's not just an extra £50 - £100. It's about the total amount you have to pay when purchasing the ticket.
A lot of people buy more than 1 season ticket. Adult plus 1, 2 or 3 kids. And in some cases, 2 Adults and kids.
So the overall cost is not just an extra £50 - £100.
Let's say the adult ticket goes up to £350 & my son's U16 ticket goes up to £150. That's £500 pay for both the tickets. Or I have to get it on finance or put it on the credit card.
If you're buying 2 adults and 2 U16 cards it's £1000!
Many, many families are living pay check to pay check and have racked up a lot of debts. So finding the money to buy seasons tickets wont be easy. As I say, it's not the increase that's the important thing, it's the total cost of the tickets bought that will be the deciding factor for many people. People who could afford X 12 months ago may not be able to afford Y now.

Its basically true though. It could be a very long time before a couple of positive results and things might actually get worse before they get better. So they probably just need to get on with this and launch it.

Ive no idea what the gif was in aid of to be honest or why you thought it was necessary. I didnt miss anything you said..I just think youre mostly wrong. Ive said myself we should re-introduce tiered pricing. It makes sense. Free tickets for kids.. Dont we do that anyway?.. the north side of the Kilner is generally full of kids who I presume get in for nowt. Its difficult to do that for most of the stadium as there isnt the available seats. We could use the north stand lower though like we used to. No problem with that. But Huddersfield isnt this special, desolate and poverty stricken place youre making it out to be, that means Town fans, and Town fans alone, cant be expected to pay anything even approaching the going rate for championship football. Only a tiny amount of our fanbase couldn't afford the weekly equivalent of the price of a packet of crisps or half a pint that a £50 or £100 increase actually translates as ,,,thats if we were to go back to the prices we paid 8 years ago. So basing your entire pricing policy on that tiny amount, if they exist, is nonsense...what else are you trying to suggest if it isnt that??? Sorry Captain, either I'm not making myself crystal clear, or you're misunderstanding what I'm writing. Here's one final clarification, I'm not saying that ST pricing shouldn't increase at all, I'm saying that not everyone can afford an increase in any shape or form, and even some cannot afford £249, so we need tiered pricing.
Right, apologies then, ive been misunderstanding you. Yeah, totally agree like ive said. Tiered pricing is something we really should have.

Where’s the evidence that our low season card prices have resulted in a significant gap with other clubs in terms of season card and match day revenue? Looking at Swiss Ramble: For 2022, Bristol’s match day revenue was £5.2 million, broken down *by* as £3.2 million in season card takings and £2 million for the rest. For the same period, Town’s revenue was £5.2m as well, but no break down is provided. I assume we sell more season cards than them (due to the more affordable price) and end up at around the same revenue. Picking two random clubs from the Swiss Ramble archive, Coventry and Blackburn’s match day revenue was below Town’s. We obviously *fall* down when it comes to commercial revenue. According the Swiss Ramble, Bristol’s commercial income was £15.8 million in 2022 (rising to £21 million in 2023). Ours was £4.1 million. So when people say we can’t compete in the Championship because our season tickets are too ‘cheap’ (they aren’t cheap they’re affordable), it’s not the case. One of the reasons we don’t compete is because we are commercially poor. There are lots of reasons for that, no doubt, including things within our control (poor player trading, high turnover of managers, etc.) and things not within our control (i.e., the stadium ownership situation). People say correlation isn’t causation, but in this case, there’s no evidence for either! swissramble.substack.com/p/bristol-city-finances-202223swissramble.substack.com/p/huddersfield-town-finances-202122swissramble.substack.com/p/coventry-city-finances-202122swissramble.substack.com/p/blackburn-rovers-finances-202122Thia is a very good post. When considering ticket sales you've got to look beyond the headline income of the ticket sales. You've got to look at the knock on effect on other revenue streams as well. Nagle has said on more than one occasion that revenue needs to be increased for Town to be run in a sustainable way. Reducing the amount of customers isn't really the best way to do that. He has talked about the 'match day experience' being improved with investment into the stadium, improved facilities, better food options, merchandise, fan zones etc. Surely if your putting money into these areas you want as many folk as possible visiting to use them. There will be a lot of fans that wouldn't renew next season if prices freeze. If they go up then that number will increase by an even larger margin.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned but the reduced ticket prices bring in new fans. I got my first season ticket when hoyle dropped the price. Had one after for years until I moved away. If Hoyle hadn't have dropped the price I wouldn't have bought a season ticket and supported town as much as I do or provided town with the money I have over the years. I appreciate that for much of that time we were thrashing teams in league one rather than the misery of avoiding relegation so I suppose that needs taking into account.
Bought a season ticket for myself and my son this season, but due to our location we can't do the evening games, a game takes up about 6-7 hours of the day and the fuel costs etc I wouldn't want to pay more than we are already. I'd like to see a tiered approach with incentives to bring in new fans.

Never forget that Dean Hoyle's whole business philosophy, with both Card Factory and then The Works, was about selling things cheap. In that respect, we were fortunate that we had an owner who was happy to also extend that approach to match prices/season tickets. I'm not sure we can expect our new American owner to adopt the same approach.

As I said before if you really cant afford £350.00 for a season ticket then in my eyes you really cant afford £250.00 either, there will be payment options also to spread the cost a little. This is a luxury / lifestyle choice and if you are struggling to find circa and extra £100.00 then you should just consider if the other £250 might be better spent on something more important. I am quite sure that there are some people on here and X just like to complain and moan about something its so annoying how negative and depressing these people are, remember there is always another way to look at it. Negative = oh no prices are going up its a joke how can the club justify such increases Postive = wow how lucky have we been, and look we are still one of the lowest priced tickets in L1 or the Championship.

You sound very condescending. Right now some may feel like they are paying £250 to be kicked repeatedly in the gonads so a price increase isn't as tolerable as it would be if we were being successful.

Poverty is subjective.Inflation Sunak and his cronies keep telling us it is coming down{When it was them that put it up to 15% in the first place}. Not in my house it isn,t! I am now paying more for electricity than I was for Gas/electric before,my car insurance is now over £ 1000 per annum, I need it for possible emergency,or to go to the doctors {assuming I can get an appointment} Rent up,council tax up etc,. I judge inflation on the prices I pay at the supermarket i.e. Weetabix £8 a box,Butter £7 a tub and bread £ 1.40 a loaf.Incidentally the weetabix they proudly claim is " All British wheat" FA to do with Ukraine! This. According to latest guidelines apparently I'm considered in poverty; no smartphone of my own, no internet access at home, no car, no owned home, choose between heat and food occasionally, have to borrow quite often at the end of a month, have been tempted (although didn't) to use a food bank, sold (old) tech to raise funds, also taken a second job previously to make ends meet. But I've NEVER thought I was in poverty, I reserve that for my (currently) homeless mate who's now living in a B&B after being repoed, and people in the same boat as him. As a rider to my post I could add the fact that I have just sold my LP collection{All rock and metal} for £750,they are probably worth a lot more, but needs must.I don,t consider myself in poverty either but My savings have dwindled 50% this year and I worry for my much younger wife if owt should happen to me.

Have you ever seen the film “Planes, Trains & Automobiles”? You sound like that guy who Steve Martin pays to get a cab in NY “Anyone who'd pay $50 for a cab, would certainly pay $75”. Why not go to £450 for a season ticket? If someone can afford £350 than another £100 isn’t going to make a difference is it. Ultimately everyone will have a limit somewhere. Some might be stretched at £250 but want to see their football team, some will probably pay £800 if they were priced that way. Also remember people come in families, and whilst one ticket increase is "just" £100, a family may be looking at a £300-£400 increase. That’s an extra £30-£40 a month if they do finance (which also adds more cost). I don’t think anyone is denying that prices will or should increase. People are saying that if you start to put them up to £350, you are going to get a serious percentage not renewing. That is aside from what division we end up in. £100 is a serious jump and I have said before I don’t think you can justify that increase from what has been produced on the field this season. Pricing them at £350 in League One, and I would guess you would easily lose around 15-20% of the current season ticket holders and maybe more.

Would be good if people actually did some research and stopped pretending we pay 4p whilst everyone else pays through the nose. www.statista.com/statistics/473324/championship-teams-cheapest-season-tickets-uk-soccer-football/Without going into the how many does each club sell at that price debate, there's plenty of clubs in our ball park. As ben1987 said, it's our commercial revenue that is fucking abysmal. Yes there are reasons why you would expect it to be less than some comparable clubs, especially clubs in the south, but it's less than fucking Rotherham. How can a club who were recently in the top flight bring in less commercial revenue than one in an even less affluent area, who have never been in the top flight and have circa half as many eyeballs on ads?

Talking about season tickets as the title suggests, and how unbelievable the value has been and still will be for HTAFC fans at Circa £350.00each we should be more thankful for Dean for saving us so much money each of the many years and realise that we have had it very good and now we will see changes and it will still be very good value. Although I have voiced my opinion on the fact that in line with everything else in life, the season tickets should increase. You should be careful not to alienate supporters. You sound very condescending. Right now some may feel like they are paying £250 to be kicked repeatedly in the gonads so a price increase isn't as tolerable as it would be if we were being successful. Thats just supporting this club isnt it? being bottom half of the 2nd tier is 'normal' when things are going relatively well...going right back to Micky Buxtons time when at the peak of it, we were also bottom half of the 2nd tier. I do think, maybe because weve now had a handful of seasons where its been better, that fans make out this is way much worse or even unacceptable than it actually is. You liken it to being kicked in the bollocks..like competing ( at the bottom end perhaps but competing still ) in the championship is somehow not what we should be doing..its beneath us in some way. I dont get why? This whole thread explains why it actually isnt beneath us...to get a championship size support through the door we have to have very cheap prices. If we didnt have those cheap prices, our support might look a lot more League 1 in size. If thats the case.. then this 'kicking in the bollocks' we're putting up with most seasons, is actually the club over-performing if anything! In the same way if Rotherham stayed up out of the bottom 2 tiers for 12 years, they'd be over-performing.

Just a bit. You have to wonder why this poster is so obsessed with a price increase. As that guy in speed said “Man sure has a on for this price increase” Or something like that. He's clearly involved with the club. He really isn’t. He was previously htafc35. Look at his earlier posts if you want a laugh.

You cant go by cheapest tickets as youre comparing a small amount of seats with the worst view in the ground at one club with ALL the seats, including the best ones at our club. It has to compare like for like seats..ie the price of a ticket in a side stand with a similar view. And ours are EASILY the cheapest at this level, by some way in almost all cases. Ours would be one of the cheapest in the 2 divisions below. Theres possible only Bradford who are cheaper in the EFL.

Wish I could have had a rummage Edit: my old man has still got his Beatles vinyls from when he was a kid/teen/20s. Along with Bolan, T-Rex, Quo and others I bet his collection is worth a mint.
