Nicholls Spencer Helik Balker Headley Matos Kasumu Thomas Rudoni Burgzorg Ward Play that side and we are arseholing them Now that is not a bottom half squad. Let’s go for jugular lads, looks like goal difference might be starting to matter. That line up does look good, but away from home we need a Lees or Pearson in there. I'd love to see that team in a home match though.

Conveniently booked a work meeting in Cardiff for Wednesday, so may aswell attend whilst there.
Hope it's better than the home game against them. They've only won 2 in 10 at home but played some decent sides in that time.

Anyone lost count of how many Town games referee Matt Donohue has done this season? This will be his sixth (5 away)......Seen more games than a lot of Town fans, good news is we won the last two (Sunderland away/Wendies home)

What does "destroyed by the diff" mean? I know that it suggests a Town defeat, but what's a "diff"? Do you mean goal difference will take a hammering? 🤷🏻♂️ Search "diff" on this and all will be revealed. www.cardiffians.co.uk/history.shtml#:~:text=Generally%20%2D%20it%20is%20accepted%20that,on%20which%20Cardiff%20castle%20stands. Annoys me no end that every quiz show answers say William the Conquerer. He was William Duke of Normandy, and the "battle of Hastings" is also a bone of contention ,the Duke of Normandy landed at Pevennsey Bay miles from Hastings whilst Saxon King Harold was defeating the Vikings at Stamford Bridge in Yorkshire. the battle took place on a hill above the bay and should be referred to as the Battle of Senlac Hill... Lazy historical research on the part of quiz writers. In addition there is a chapel{maybe ruined} nearby called Battle Abbey.

Think this town team could be promotion contenters next season if we can survive in the Championship
Not seen any other team give L--ds such a hard game this season and think we would hav won that if we had our best 11 in for all the game
Think the club need to look into why they have had so many injuries this season as still feel the best is to come from this squad under our new manager
Looks like Town could move up a place on GD on Tuesday if other results go our way

… and if you are going to be as pedantic The Blitz during the Second World War involved dozens of urban targets not just London. The largest battle during the Second World War involved the Soviets not Britain. They lost more at Stailngrsd than the British did in the entire war. TheDuke of Wellington defeated the French at Waterloo because the Prussians turned up in the nick of time. More died from Spanish flue at the end of the First World War than were killed in the fighting. Every Tory government since 1951 has left the incoming Labour administration with a huge budget deficit and economic problems yet present themselves successfully as the party of economic competence. Columbus never discovered the USA. Captain Cook didn’t discover Australia there were people there anyway…. I could go on … Churchill became PM in 1940 after leading Britain to defeat in Norway and relied on Labour Party support…

Excited to potentially see a Helik Baulker partnership for the first time If we have Spencer and Headley as the full backs then I think we’re gonna have one of the fastest backlines I’ve ever seen at Town. Add in Matos, Sorba and Burgzorg (arguably Kasumu as well?) then the squad looks quite pacey!

Headley and Spencer the best young players to come through since Lewis O'Brien.

Things are looking so tight near the bottom of the table, we really need a win, but I can see a draw looming , 1-1.

Where has this craze for Headley come from? Don’t see it at all personally. He’s defensively very naive but going forwards he’s a real threat. I think I would have liked to see him go on a loan and develop that side of his game and come back similar to Spencer. But injuries probably haven’t helped any plans we had for him.

Where has this craze for Headley come from? Don’t see it at all personally. He's not a full-back, at least not yet he isn't. But he's shown himself to be a decent wing-back and I think he has the makings of a decent winger. He needs to work on the defensive side of his game, but he's very quick and strong and most importantly left-footed.

I agree with this tbh.defensively not sure about him so maybe wing back his best position currently.although don’t know how many chances he’s actually had at full back, that maybe down to him or just simply how we’ve setup since he came into the squad. Started 4-3-3 Saturday but quickly moved to 4-4-2.Think if it’s 4-3-3 I’d worry about him getting exposed a bit easier if at full back. I think fair chance he plays Saturday due to Yuta injury though be that at full back or wing back. I would like to see Spencer get a good run of games playing on his favoured right though. Hogg suspension could maybe see him out of the side for an extended period if we play well and get results.that’s been said plenty before though. Also hopefully balker can be fit for the weekend,I like Pearson and lees but he just adds a couple extra dimensions.Pace and ability to step out.The pace been the main one as we can squeeze higher meaning midfield less distances to cover to press etc etc.

The good thing for Headley is he now has a manager who I think can truly develop him. He has great potential and his obvious strength is going forward, but with proper management and coaching, he will have a much better chance of becoming defensively sound too.
Spencer is so good that it is easy to compare the two and see Headley as weaker atm. Spencer has everything to go all the way, but no reason why Headley can’t have a really good career too.
Great having these lads coming through the academy

Relatively speaking, to succeed as a winger at this level or above you need exceptional technical ability or explosive pace. It's no coincidence that our academy frequently seeks to develop athletic young midfielders into full backs (Jaheim, Brodie, Luke Daley etc). If they can be coached to become defensively proficient, their potential ceiling in the game becomes far higher than it would otherwise be.
