Oh dear. Relegation bells are ringing I'm afraid. Koroma shit, Hogg shit, Burgzorg shit, Kasumu shit, Pearson shit, Balker shit, Headley shit.
Rudoni does the work of about 10 people and is the only one that runs and puts a shift in so his mistakes will always look bigger than anyone else's.
Matos was poor first half but had a good 2nd half. Jones and Healey must start Monday.

About the best I can say about that, is I expected us to lose. The lack of coherent play with this group of players is a thing to behold.

Problem isn't the manager, never has been, problem is the players.
Pearson not good enough at this level, Hogg passed it, rudoni shocking again, not the golden boy the club make him out to be. Burgzorg woeful who only plays when he wants. Koroma a one trick pony who gets found wanting against decent teams. Headley not a defender, Warnock had it right with him, playing him higher up.
Away from the squad, ward, lees, ruffles, turton all league one at best. this is why we are where we are.
Corberan worked a miracle getting a better squad in the playoffs. Warnock worked a miracle keeping a similar side up last season. We need to stop hoping for miracles, eventually the bill comes due and it looks like that is now. If we do have one more in us, then the whole ethos has to change, the whole squad needs rebuilding, not just rejuvenating, can be no more patting ourselves on the back for getting a deal for someone like Wiles over the line, we're talking £10,12,15mil+ on 4/5 players plus the frees and loans, no more just being happy being a part of it all.

Another frustrating watch today.
The woodwork wasn’t the difference, but it didn’t do us any favours today.
The Koroma chance in the 1st half. It came about from an unexpected defensive error, so hardly surprising that nobody was backing up, he didn’t have any options really.
The frustrating part is the inconsistency. On the second half performance it wouldn’t have been a travesty to get a point, but based on the first half, we deserved to lose.
2 final points. Why was Burgzorg strolling off at 2-0 down? That was just ignorant & stupid.
Lastly, the Ref, what an inconsistent performance from him, he needs a few more games under his belt before he gets another championship gig.

Jones did more in 10 minutes than Burgzorg achieved in the whole game. AB needs to sharpen them up and instil some mental toughness or we won't survive Other teams are standing up to be counted but we are not.

Walloped again at home. Not sure where we get the 4 wins we need from here, our players just aren’t Championship quality. No doubt the manager will get the bullet at we’ll be looking for another bloke to get something out of these shite players.

So summing up today then...
1) - I didn’t expect to get anything v Coventry anyway so in that regard not the crushing disappointment there was at Rotherham United -
2) - What I certainly didn’t expect was Stoke to win so convincingly at Hull City - Make no mistake they will be absolutely coasting with confidence with us rocking up on Monday and to be honest as much as it pains me to say this, so they should be...
3) - So even The Wendy’s gained a point today on Town as did Millwall against a top six team, and we can only be hugely thankful for our former boss (Wagner) seeing his team Norwich over the line (just) v Plymouth...
4) - It would have probably been handy had QPR and Birmingham drew but it wasn’t to be and I think we probably now have think of QPR (and Stoke City) being away on us with that and we are now locked in a battle with The Wendy’s and Birmingham, Blackburn and Plymouth to join Rotherham in League 1... ☹️
5) - We need to be huge Ipswich Town fans for the next two hours as the last thing we want is Blackburn picking up anything in that one for sure and with Ipswich having the incentive to go top if only for a couple of hours, I’d like to think they’d win but then I’d like to have thought that West Bromwich Albion, Hull City and Swansea City would’ve won today and they didn’t so I’m certainly not overly confident either on that one...
6) - Good Friday... No Nor Good Bloody Friday ! 😬 - And while it isn’t fatal it was far from perfect and the the Stoke City result is a big blow and the QPR injury time winner ain’t too handy either and the noose is tightening slowly but surely on those stuck in the relegation desert island and while there are still some life rafts to be found there they are diminishing and diminishing rapidly and Monday is now bloody massive so it is ! 🤭

The only positive from today is that its still wide open and all to play for but we seem unable to grasp the nettle.

Lack of investment over the last few years is killing us now. Coventry banged their money from signings into players and you could see the difference.
Squad is so average that we just can’t play on the front foot against decent teams. Pearson just can’t defend on the halfway line. But Jones and Healey have to start on Monday when we’ll be playing a side we should be able to compete against.

Not looking good.
Made a fist of it in the second half, but he needs to shake up the starting 11. I wouldn't start Bergzorg against Stoke, his constant offsides today were infuriating, and Healey deserves a start after his goal.
Need to move on quickly, got an ok run coming up but need to get ourselves above Birmingham. A must win on Monday after today.
If we don't beat Stoke and Millwall, that's probably season over, we won't have enough games left after that....

Started 3 at the back, got battered as per 90% of games this season playing that way. Went to 433 and took them on, did 10x better and got back into it. It’s not fucking rocket science.
No doubt we’ll play 3 at the back against Stoke.

Lesson in taking your chances today. We actually had some decent moments in the second half after way too many poor performances in the first half.
Problem is, we can’t finish off chances we create. Could you imagine a town player scoring that first goal?!

Could you imagine a town player scoring that first goal?! Or the 3rd. (Or 2nd) When was the last time we had a striker who moved the ball half a yard and smashed it. We just constantly just smash it straight at defenders legs and have done for years.

Coventry had better individual quality They caught us on the break well We were crap first half Decent second half Their 2 goal scorers cost more than our entire squad We were unlucky to hit the post and the bar Healey was good and a good finish and a long throw in Matos excellent Rudoni was a good ball carrier but needs better end product but at least his shot off the bar showed more confidence than putting it tamely at the keeper We need Sorba's set pieces Jones looked promising Ref was crap but not game-changingly so 2-1 would have been a fair result We need to play like in the second half against Stoke

Agree with the Rudoni comment - he runs himself into the ground every game, always wants the ball, generally keeps the ball. Second half today he was a man possessed. His shooting isn’t the best but fucking hell he does everything else. Absolutely no doubt that he’ll be the player most in demand if/ when we go down.

Yes, he lacks quality at times, but the lad tries to make things happen and his head rarely goes down. We have far bigger weaknesses than Rudoni.
