That may be true but my point was that the game shouldn't get moved purely because of the Giants. There is a ruling in the PL but not in the EFL. If the club choose to move it, then that's a different matter. There's been plenty of occasions in the past when the Giants have played on Friday night and we've played on the Saturday So do you think the fans should be put in the picture one way or another?.........Something we all agree on. If they have any intention of moving it - yes, they probably should. But there is no real reason to expect it to be moved. I'm happy to be proved wrong though.

So of the three call ups, Brodie, Marshall and Jones thst triggered the match postponement, it turns out with a week to go, only actually Marshall will join his international camp as a non injuredTown player.
I know early postponements are good BUT international breaks are supposed to coincide with localish fixtures in L1&2...surely the point from when games can be canned should be after the transfer window has closed?
I wonder if there's ever been a club who've postponed a game and then all the qualifying players have transferred away before the game!?

You can't do that though as if the windows closes on say 2nd September and the first international games are 5th/6th September, you can't postpone with 3 or 4 days notice

So do you think the fans should be put in the picture one way or another?.........Something we all agree on. But there isn't anything to be put in the picture about?Unless I've missed something with the Northampton game and it's been moved? If they move it at short notice, I fully agree with you as they already know that the Giants are at home on the Friday. But the last time Giants played the night before a Town game (Championship, not PL) it was moved to Sunday, so some fans (not you) could be thinking same situation it could be moved again.......Anyway Castleford winning at Hull yesterday means that Giants/Cas cannot go any higher/lower in the league table, so now the game between them on the final Friday can be played on the Sunday (possibly preferred?), then everyone's happy if it happens.

Just four games in league one are currently still due to take place on 7th September, one of which is Wycombe Wanderers (v Mansfield) who have two players called up thus unable to postpone the match, with Town due to play Wycombe in Nov/March international breaks it could be an advantage to play them if the situation is the same then.......Certainly something for Town to look at to avoid an unwanted fixture pile up. Now off, triggered by Mansfield Town yesterday having a 3rd call up......Barnsley/Bristol Rov, Charlton/Rotherham & Wrexham/Shrewsbury currently still to go ahead as planned next Sat.

This young kid who plenty on here seem terrified of having to rely upon and who some even forgot we signed is starting up front for Northern Ireland tonight. Good luck Callum Marshall.

Giants v Castleford is now moved to Thursday night giving ground staff 24 hours extra to prepare the pitch for Town v Northampton........It was fortunate the game had no bearing on the play offs or relegation & could be moved.

Bolton have rearranged Cambridge away for 26th Nov, if we were to do the same it would fall after Charlton at home 23rd Nov & a possible 2nd round FAC tie on 30th Nov, followed by Wigan at home on 3rd Dec, you could be looking at five home games on trot with a potential FAC 1st round replay on 19th Nov (cup games be away also).....You can see the argument for using the squad & not postponing is a good one if you end up with 2 games weekly throughout the winter months. Was hoping it would be rearranged for that date irverino as that have made for a great double header for me so it would have done... Anyway not to be and I suppose it’s better from a purely professional football point of view perhaps it’s better to have it over and done with while we have a 75% win record in the league as things current stand (cups as always with Town are a totally different kettle of fish)... Still all is not lost and I’m planning the Wigan game by the looks of it on Tuesday 3rd December, but note that you say that The FA Cup Round 2 games are due on Saturday 30th November so I’ll definitely have a close eye on the draw for that and be praying for a home tie for HTAFC so as I can make a double header of it and tour bits of Yorkshire that I’ve not been to as yet on the Monday ! 👍

Joe Hodge played 90mins twice while on duty, Callum Marshall combined over two games played less than 90 mins & Josh Koroma less than an hour & did not feature at all last night......Hodge will likely be on the bench at Bolton. expect Marshall to start with Koroma (depending on journey back) or Ladapo.
