Braver approach? We were averaging something like 25% possession under him and won some games with 1/5th the number of shots the opposition had. He's a great manager but we massively rode our luck last season. Our stats recently show us as being far more competitive than we were this time last season yet our results are poor The braver approach was playing higher up the pitch and engaging further up the pitch. It wasnt continual high pressing simply being 20 yards further up the pitch, the possession the opposition had was further away from our goal. It can be a tactic for us, we saw it against leeds and first half v west brom. Its hard work and subs are essential, even if winning, but it can be done. Personally id like to see us bit a bit braver when defending, leave players up or dont get as many back as deep, have out balls and have the best chance to break. So many blue and white shirts back so deep and so many goals conceeded from 2nd or 3 attacks in the same move.. Lots of pointing means some of our numbers dont know who they should pick up and it ends up with 3 town players stood next to each other as we concede..too many cooks etc..? The heat maps from those games would be interesting because I remember us being camped around our box rather than 20 yards further forward.

The players worked harder to close down the oppo than they are doing right now, thats for sure . Coventry's goals show that, we weren't tight or closing down shots and gave their players far too much space at times. Warnocks teams tried to stop the popp playing. Teams were having shots yes, but a lot of them were outside the box.

I'd say we need to not lose here to at least keep Stoke in it but we need 4 points out of these 2 games I think there have been people in the last 4 match threads saying it’s not a must win game. But given we are obliging and indeed not winning AND most have written off the final game it feels like a must win to me by this point. It's not a must-win game in terms of how the league table is at the moment, but I'd much rather be picking up some wins before we reach that stage. Does anyone have any confidence we will win genuine must-win matches?

Reckon it'll be a tight game. Stoke currently have the 3rd worst home record in the division and have only scored 14 in 19. We currently have the 5th worst away record but average a goal a game on the road.
Going 1-0 town. Healey. 55/1 on SkyBet.

Anyone not got a stream...at a push if you've got NOW TV app you can get a day pass for £11.99 ..lasts 24 hours from when you actual start streaming..so you'll get all todays games, all the sky sports channels.. I oay £10 for ifollow, and I would have today if it had been on, so it's only another £2 and you get 4 games I think today..

Think the question is pretty much rhetorical; can't say I'd be confident at any rate - optimistic, of course, but confident....not really after only 8 wins so far this season.

Need to turn up today. Haven’t put 90 minutes together since the derby against Leeds. Hopefully Healey will get a start.

Well apathy has well & truly set in with town. Can’t even be arsed watching it today. Suspect stoke will have almost a full house at £10 quid a ticket and we will probably get stuffed. Just bring on league one for me now and let’s have a complete clear out from top to bottom and begin again. Apthay will never set in with me for one with HTAFC... If (heaven forbid) Town sink to The Vauxhall Conference I’ll still be buying plenty merchandise if I like it (And Town do some pretty awesome gear) and I’ll still be there to support them big time... Rebellious Scottish Footy Fan - Possibly... Nah in fact DEFINITELY Rebellious Huddersfield Town Scottish Football Fan !!! 🥃 👍

If anyone thinks this isn't a must win game then give me some of the mindbending drugs you're on. Games are running out quickly, we need 3 points, simple as.

Think we will lose or draw. Issue is don’t see us keeping a clean sheet therefore we have to score 2 minimum and seen nothing to suggest that’s going to happen either.

Interesting team, Jones and Radulovic start and Burgzorg on the bench.
Hogg not in the 11.

Looks like a very attacking line-up to me, does that. Looks like we're going for it!

In truth, probably every game now is a must win but I can’t see us getting much today. Reckon a defeat makes Saturday’s game huge and anything but a win then and we’re as good as gone and probably deservedly so.

Pat Jones may be the boost we need. Someone showing intent.. hopefully some supply for Bojan so he can show us what we bought him for.

Sensible. Hogg and Mattos were poor together. Jones is ten times the player Diarra is if fit. Bojan has to play. Delano didn’t look bothered

I’ve went for a score draw as anything else is totally unthinkable...
I think today that while today there is a group of 8 (The Wendy’s - Town, Birmingham, Plymouth, Blackburn, Stoke, QPR, and Millwall) that’ll be reduced by probably two by tonight, probably another one on Saturday and by the end of play on 13th April it’ll likely be any two from four to join (surely by then) relegated Rotherham...
Anyway for today -
PREDICTION = Stoke City 1 v Huddersfield Town 1...

How is Healey not starting today? Because they said he was only fit enough for 30 mins on Friday. Which he did. So surely won’t be available for more than that just 3 days later. Am sure he’ll come on at some point though.
