One thing Town always have is fight, even when we’re in bad form or have poor management, we always have some fight and a chance of pulling off a surprise result. The thing that concerns me is we’ve barely had any for the last few games, especially the cov game where there seemed to be quite a few players that couldn’t care less. I’m not blaming AB, but something has definitely changed for the worse over the last few weeks and I don’t think it’s a confidence issue. We HAVE to get a result tomorrow, no ifs or buts. Fail to get anything and that’s us down in my book. This is probably our biggest game since the playoff final. Six managers in eighteen months all preaching a different version of soccer. No wonder these players look confused and in some cases disinterested.

I think it's the nature of the manager. If you have a consoling, easy going manager players don't feel as inspired as much as perhaps they would under a Warnock style. Players need motivating and there's nothing like a screaming angry manager balling you out for not trying hard enough.
Too many wet lettuces in our team, Wiles for example, need their bums kicking.

0-1 town, Rudoni to score from a penalty the most unlikely eventuality in the history of the modern game. Could happen if the ball reached the goal line

I normally think that way but it’s getting to the point where we need wins.

A year ago on April fools day sitting 3rd from bottom Neil Warnock's Town team absolutely thrashed 3rd from top Middlesbrough. Kevin Nagle a few days earlier was announced as Town's new prospective buyer, the bars in Town were packed with happy fans believing the corner was turned that we going to stay up & with a new owner to take us forward to the promised land.....My gut feeling says we will struggle to repeat last years heroics, I sincerely hope I'm wrong & we avoid the drop, take a 0-0 today if just to stop us conceding.

Another game with Pearson playing ffs He's a good defender and the alternative is someone from the B team. Also his shite passing is less used when he's in a back 4 because he isn't out wide and will have easy passes to the full backs on and we'll have to play a back 4 He looked really uncomfortable on Friday when Balker went off injured and he was switched to the left side centre half. On the plus side, putting him there meant any long pass that were sliced at least had most of the pitch to land on and not straight into the stands

Where's the best place for boozing? Annoyingly I can't remember the name of the place I went in in 2018 when we lost 2-0.

That game for me summed up just how lucky Warnock seems to be sometimes. Middlesbrough dominated the first half far more than Coventry did on Friday but didn't take their chances. Ruffels fortuitously bounces through a few tackles straight from the second half kick off and then everything else we try ends up in the back of the net. On another day Middlesbrough win that with ease. The Blackburn game was the same, they absolutely destroyed us and we came away with a point. Millwall we had one attack it felt like and came away with 3 points.

Didn't see any of that on Saturday, in fact the opposite, lost almost every 50 50 in that first half. They're never gonna get lucky playing without conviction, that's the absolute minimum requirement and it's concerning the coach hasn't been able to instill that for whatever reason. Hoping for a huge improvement today.

Hoping for a huge improvement today. The Middlesbrough games was exactly the same first half. Outclassed and outfought. That early goal at the start of the second half suddenly gave the players some confidence just like the Healey goal did on Saturday and rattled Coventry for a brief spell At this stage of the season luck plays a huge role.

Lucky? Or just very good at his job? Suspect it is bit of both😉 But you also have to earn luck, maybe Warnock earns his luck more than other bosses? i think its due to having a braver approach possibly ?

Lucky? Or just very good at his job? Suspect it is bit of both😉 Agreed. No one in their right mind would suggest Warnock isn't a very good manager, but when you are relying on the opposition missing chances (as we did at the back end of last season in quite a few matches), luck has to play a part. Then again, Warnock is canny enough to know how to ensure a team maximises any luck they get.

A draw will only be ok if results go our way but then that makes next Saturday pretty much a must win.

Looking at all our rivals fixtures, I think 8/9 points will be enough to stay up. Which doesn’t make today a MUST win imo, but would obviously be nice to get a decent chunk of those points on the board early on in our run in.

We were averaging something like 25% possession under him and won some games with 1/5th the number of shots the opposition had. He's a great manager but we massively rode our luck last season. Our stats recently show us as being far more competitive than we were this time last season yet our results are poor

Our stats recently show us as being far more competitive than we were this time last season yet our results are poor The braver approach was playing higher up the pitch and engaging further up the pitch. It wasnt continual high pressing simply being 20 yards further up the pitch, the possession the opposition had was further away from our goal. It can be a tactic for us, we saw it against leeds and first half v west brom. Its hard work and subs are essential, even if winning, but it can be done. Personally id like to see us bit a bit braver when defending, leave players up or dont get as many back as deep, have out balls and have the best chance to break. So many blue and white shirts back so deep and so many goals conceeded from 2nd or 3 attacks in the same move.. Lots of pointing means some of our numbers dont know who they should pick up and it ends up with 3 town players stood next to each other as we concede..too many cooks etc..?

Its all in Neil Warnock's 'Ladybird book of Lucky football', how to win promotion after promotion & save teams from relegation time after time.......Lucky? Yeh right.

Well apathy has well & truly set in with town. Can’t even be arsed watching it today. Suspect stoke will have almost a full house at £10 quid a ticket and we will probably get stuffed. Just bring on league one for me now and let’s have a complete clear out from top to bottom and begin again.

But given we are obliging and indeed not winning AND most have written off the final game it feels like a must win to me by this point.
