Anyone going to the chairman's tea party?.......Do you get to ask one question only? When I went last year I’m sure I asked more than one question . It’s quite informal with Kevin giving you opportunity to introduce yourself and also himasking what you think about things and letting you feedback. There was only about a dozen ladies at the event and we ran over time but still felt there was more we could have discussed. Make sure you eat the food. I wasn’t well so didn’t have much and there was loads left. Pretty sure the back office staff will all have put weight on from the leftovers Does he walk around the guests or is he visited by the guests? I’ve just got this feeling that it could be a bit awkward. |

We were of course sat round a table with the lovely afternoon tea in the middle. It is very informal but Kevin makes sure everyone contributes to the discussion. It was a very enjoyable Occasion but as someone said, please make sure you enjoy the food. As far as I can see most people were a little bit afraid to start eating something in case they were asked a question whilst in full mouthful!
If you get chance to go then enjoy, as I did

Afternoon tea - definitely that, as I was privileged to go to the last one with Kevin . In the afternoon! Teatime is a very different thing which is when you have your tea. The evening meal. In Yorkshire it’s Breakfast,Dinner and Tea. Lunch is an alien concept When's supper, is that beer after your tea. |

Afternoon tea - definitely that, as I was privileged to go to the last one with Kevin . In the afternoon! Teatime is a very different thing which is when you have your tea. The evening meal. In Yorkshire it’s Breakfast,Dinner and Tea. Lunch is an alien concept When's supper, is that beer after your tea. It is, to be accompanied by dripping sandwiches. |

Then Andy Booth took us into the room and we all sat down. Kevin came in and sat at the head of the table. Afternoon tea was on the table and we were encouraged to help ourselves. One by one we introduced ourselves and said why we were Town fans. We all then had a good chat. At the end we had a group picture. They had some samples of shop stock for us to look at and we got pics with the cup and Andy Booth. It’s a great afternoon. |
