Threads like this seem to have been set up on an almost annual basis so thought I would give it a stab again - I find it useful to see all the fixtures in one place. Below are the remaining fixtures for the teams in trouble. I have included everyone up to Blackburn in 19th. I've marked the relegation six pointers in red. I'll keep this updated as we head towards end of the season, removing teams as they become safe and adding any that look in danger.

interesting we're all playing different clubs..
Since we left the PL we've played Swansea and Birmingham at home 4 times each and never lost any of those 8 games..albeit 6 of those 8 games ended in a draw...

We need to win all our games, failing that,we win both our home games and hope Wednesday, Stoke and QPR don't pick up another point at all.

Too many permutations, still time for unexpected scorelines either in our favour or not.

Well that’s not right as we only need to match what Wednesday do. Just hope Birmingham drop points in one of the other two games they have. Regardless of the other games, we’ve just got to win ours and see what the lie of the land is afterwards.

Fuck the maths off, every game is now for survival. Lose 1 of them we're gone. AB doesn't seem the type to get on the front foot from the start but it's needed, if we have a 1 goal lead we wither switch off and someone fucks up, or a ref shafts us.

But it's not as bad as art states - two wins at home would put us on 50 points so Stoke and QPR could draw two of their remaining games and still not be above us - looking at the fixtures it is entirely feasible that they'd do no better than that. As Millwall and Plymouth have shown against Leicester though it's just as likely that they'll win out!

Winning all 3 is the only way (from here) to guarantee staying up. If we win both our home games and lose at Ipswich, we'd stop up if 2 of the following happened; Wednesday get no more than 6 points in their last 3. Birmingham get no more than 4 points Stoke get no more than 2 points. QPR get no more than 2 points Plymouth get no more than 1 point. Blackburn get no more points. I think that's right!!

We've taken 6 points from the last 6 and 44 points from 43 games.
Anyone thinking we're getting 9 from 9 is absolutely mental.

I agree with that, but what I mean is if we can win both the home games, Wednesday can at the most match with 2 wins before they would then over take us. Don't necessarily need them to not pick up another point.

Swansea and Birmingham matches are both must win.
Birmingham/Stoke/QPR are all odds on to win next weekend, and all have a better goal difference than us. If we can't beat Swansea and results go against us next weekend we would be 3 or 4 points from safety with 2 games to go, and I don't think there would be any way back from that.
We need to beat Swansea to keep in touch, beat Birmingham, and hope results go for us on the final day.

Win the next 2 and we'll stay up. Had Welch not intervened a win and a draw would have been enough.

Given the nature of the season (case in point, the recent round with Blackburn and Plymouth beating Leeds and Leicester, Brum hammering Cov, and us moments away from a win against Bristol)
I wouldn't be surprised if we do end up winning a another game. However given how inconsistently we've won all season, I just cannot be confident we'll get any. We could potentially beat any of our opponents, I just can't see us beating multiple of them. Hope I'm proven wrong.

6 points from the two home games and see if any of the promoted teams actually fancy going up by the Ipswich game .
Next week at least one of Wednesday and Blackburn drop points and at least one of Stoke and Plymouth do . Beat Swansea and it’s all to play for

I think after the last couple of weekends, we should all have realised looking at the fixtures is absolutely pointless. The form book has been completely shredded and on any day, you can't predict the result (apart from Town conceding a lead!).

Win and draw needed.
47 will be the drop IMO.
Two cup finals coming up……

Even if we do what's required it's a worry that our rivals will be playing Southampton, Coventry, Norwich and West Brom at a time when those clubs will have nothing to play for and might be playing safe ahead of play offs. Realistically none of those sides will be busting a gut and risking injury. Likely that Ipswich will still be competing for first or second spot.
