I mean there has to be a chance that we won't ever see Hoggy play for town again now, sounds like he's out for the season. What an incredible loyal professional he has been for us and if he has played his last game for us thank you for all the effort Hoggy.

He'll be here next season as he'll be the first in line for a new contract.

Its not good news for this season, but I fully expect to see Hoggy in a town shirt again.

He'll be here next season as he'll be the first in line for a new contract. 99% sure he will be here again next season, pretty sure the new contract is pretty much agreed.

I think that Tuesday night was a prime example of one of those games where we only notice his real value to us when he's not there.

I hope he proves me wrong but for me goes into the same bracket as Scott high, lee makel, mark Hudson quality of midfielder.

He could be as talented as Messi but if he can't run he's useless at this level and probably the one below.

Why the hell would we be giving a 35 year old a new contract? Have we not learnt our lesson?

I wouldn't mind giving him a year's extension TBH But anything longer should be as options to extend if he proves himself a worthy squad member**. I think we should definitely be looking for a "game ready" replacement though, it's too late for a prospect IMO. ** I personally think he'd not be the type to rock the boat if he was only a squad player, unlike some "professionals".

He'll be here next season as he'll be the first in line for a new contract. He’ll do well for us in Division 3.

Fk me that season pales in comparison to this, it's been insane. Makes you wonder if it's more than bad luck. That theres something more underlying that is causing it. But when the coaches etc have all changed so many times recently, it cant really be anything theyre doing, surely? the last 4 season have been an injury nightmare except for 21/22. 20/21..loads of injuries second half of season. Every centre back at once I seem to remember. CC couldn't cope and we almost went down after a good 1st half of season. 21/22...almost no injuries and CC almost took us up. 22/23... huge injury crisis, worse than CC had and only really got better last third of season once Warnock had come back. 23/24...even worse still. Only 11 or 12 1st team players available at times. A bench made up of kids..terrible in 1st half of season and not improving much in the 2nd. Even the new signings we buy to improve it are crocked or ill immediately. If we do go down theres lots of reason why, but more than anything the amount of injuries weve had to contend with this season has been ridiculous.

TBF we've never seen a fully fit Wiles. Wiles is a real enigma - I actually think he has ability but nothing seems to be right with him. Hopefully Wiles has a positive and productive summer and pre season. Clearly a talent there.

I agree he has talant, skillful has an eye for a pass and postionally he takes up some good spaces, his fitness however is appauling can he get fit with the correct pre season I hope so but I would have expected to see an improvment in his fitness under DM and then again under AB and honestly he has maybe even gone backwards in terms of fitness, maybe the injuries have taken there toll and he wont get back to what he had, dont forget Burnley wanted to pay 3mil for him in there promotion year until he got injured talant is there, fitness / application / desire might not be unfortunalty.
