I agree she shouldnt be abused for being a woman Jack. However, people are frustrated because she is a pretty poor referee and is still in the championship. She is refereeing at this level simply because she is a woman. Given she’s been a referee since 2010, how much do you actually know about her career? Do you know what qualifications she has or how much experience she has? You must do if you can claim she’s only there because she’s a woman. I don’t give a shit if people are frustrated this is disgusting? There’s no excuse for sexism. We get shit male referees week in week out, worse referees as well, but they aren’t getting shit on for being a man? On the 7th of October 2024 she refereed a League 2 game. By the 23rd of December she was in the prem. If you know of any others who've done that please let me know |

Yet another appalling decision from a clown of a referee. I am lost for words but nothing will be done it never is, the whole set up of modern day football is atrocious.
We will look back and say Rotherham cost us and the clown today cost us, but the fact is modern day match officials are mainly appalling and EFL have also a lot to answer for. Modern day football is a joke now and the penalty decision today is up there with one of the worst decisions given against us.

She’s getting slated for making a disgraceful decision and being an incompetent referee. Sorry but her gender does come into it because we now live in a mad world where people are desperate to show how woke they are. If she was a bloke she wouldn’t be a professional ref nor be in charge of a game like this. It’s the people who have employed her as a professional referee that are ironically sexist. Given I’ve seen tweets suggesting she should hang herself, she should get shot, or she should get a terminal illness, I don’t think male referee’s get nearly that much abuse. What does her being a woman have anything to do with her ability to referee? Do you think that football is so inexcusably complicated that a woman could not understand it? Yet they can become brain surgeons or scientists? If it was a bloke, he wouldn’t be getting sexist abuse. It’s that simple. It has nothing to do with her refereeing a women's game but does she have the ability to physically have a men's pro game & does she have the knowledge of the differences between the men's pro game & a women's, such as speed & physicality? |

Totally fucking incompetent... male or female. They would be stood down by the Premier league and now should be stood down by the EFL.... No consolation to Kev and Co. If she costs us our championship status. Just seems like the stars are aligning for one of those seasons. The whole sham wants tieing up in litigation well after next season starts. Disgraceful decision letting someone so incompetent ref a game with so much importance. There must have been a dead rubber in some league they could have sent her to. They actually do give her dead rubbers, obviously missed the fact this was important to one of the teams. |

I hate all this “we’ve only got ourselves to blame blah blah blah”. Yes we do, but it doesn’t fucking help when you get shite decisions like this against you in the 99th minute at the most crucial point in the season. If we go down by a point or 2 of course you can blame this because despite “doing enough” to stay up this cost it. Would have been the same last season if we went down by a point with that Blackpool goal. It’s an absolute disgrace of a decision and a disgrace to play that long. Her being a woman has nothing to do with being a shit ref, we have plenty of them, but she’s not even at their shit standards she’s just been fast tracked. Surely they’re better female refs in the WSL.
I’m not even one to usually blame a ref, it’s a tough job, town have been so bad this season I’ve genuinely stopped caring about the result but this today has got my blood boiling for the first time in years. So thank you Rebecca for bringing my passion for the game back.
I don’t see us winning both of our home games so this effectively relegated us as there’s a 99% chance we get nothing at Ipswich. Hope she stays in the championship next season so we don’t get her in league one.

We should be good enough that crap referee decisions don't hurt us over a season, or at least even themselves out. It's a point which most of us would have taken before the game, it's just been made worse by the results of those around us. If Hoggy had been on the pitch maybe he could have helped Lee with the pen. IIRC Wells put it in the same place as in the playoff final?

What was going through her head at that point? It really makes me think some referees are actively looking to manipulate results for whatever reason that might be. Did we upset her during the Hull game and she's wanted to show us who is boss. Referees are power mad, combine that with an upset woman and you've got a problem

If the said referee is good and has spent the required time getting the required experience over many season's working up from the lower divisions then fine... But when the referee has being fast tracked without the said experience because of 🤔 then perhaps there's a problem?
