The penalty is a knee jerk reaction from a ref with little experience given she could not have clearly seen the incident. I am not annoyed about female refs, just those who give decisions they cant clearly see, its to somehow prove they are better than most humans and see all, all the time. I accept that refs cant always be in exactly the right place, why cant they. No more guessing or deciding to make a decision because you think you ought to??

It's pretend equality, if FIFA, EUFA etc, wanted true equality, they would allow men's & women's mixed teams, that's why it's pseudo equality! When she refereed v Hull City, told my son, 2she can't be any worse than the men." Rebecca Welch is one of those referee's how makes controversial decisions, they become the story, remember referees in the old days, such as Pat Partridge, who reffed very competently, without causing controversy - UTT. |

Yes. But with that pure incompetent she isn't really showing that women can officiate at this level. Whether we as fans like it or not, it is now a business. That decision could cost people millions of pounds. It could cost people their jobs. Not to mention the paying fans their today. Regardless of gender, if it has been a male ref, my feelings would be the same. Let me know where you work mate, and when you had a bad day at the office, I’ll come and hurl insults at you. After all, it’s a business! You won’t be able to Jack. Anybody who can’t do their job in the real world gets sacked. |

She is just a very poor referee which the PL will find out next season and no doubt the Champions League a couple of years later.

No point moaning about refs, it’s a closed shop. How many decisions are ultimately found to be wrong after the game, yet how many apologies do you hear being issued for those mistakes? Need to use this to our advantage in the last 3 games. |

Only baggies game saw more(9)which included a sending off
Average no of yellows in championship games today 4/5
Officiated 26 this season, 12 champ, 5 lady football, 3 league 1, 3 lady world Cup(presumably qualifying games), 2 prem & 1 league 2
Seems to be all over the place, either drip feeding her in or don't know where to stick her?

The fact that she's female doesn't make her worse than male referees, but it looks pretty bloody obvious that she's been fast tracked to the top level simply because she's female.
She's massively unqualified and I don't believe that a male referee of the same standard goes from League 2 to the Premier League in less than 3 years. If she's treated purely on her ability as a referee, there's not a cat in hell's chance she's allowed to officiate in the EFL at all.

I can’t believe she sacked Neil Warnock, bought bugger all over the summer, hired Darren Moore then refused to sack him when he was taking us down then spent a load on crocked players in January. That bint has single-handedly relegated us. She has contributed twice now. Glad she was fast tracked as part of a box ticking agenda. Not fit for the job and pure incompetence has cost us today. How can you call yourself a Town fan and not be upset by the manner of the defeat. Was the defeat her fault, yes it was. |

It's ridiculous that she's in the PL Hall of Fame when she's reffed one game because she was fast tracked and is culpable of dropping stinkers like today where she cost us 2 points by fucking up twice for the pen

If you think its shameful then that's fair enough. But just to get the facts straight (as you obvious have access to DATM inside information, which does concern me. What percentage of people who are critising her are men and what percentage are women. No inside info, I would assume fairly it was a generalised comment made by the OP. |

Football in the Prem and EFL is played by men and was always officiated and commented on TV coverage by men. The inclusion agenda has been forced upon us and it hasn't benefitted the game. Some folk are so brainwashed they can't see it and wouldn't dare speak up against it THAT^^^ Amen. |
