She’ll get a fantastically warm reception whenever she returns to referee at the JS Stadium in the future. I'd be getting in the EFL and PGMOL's ears and telling them that under no circumstances should she be assigned to one of our matches ever again.

This thread is hardly welcoming to the thousands of women who support Huddersfield Town - but it runs much deeper than that. My other half (who by the way is a woman) said after Hull away Rebecca welch should never referee a professional mens game again. Today she said she has been proven right.

It is a simple issue ie it's a poor refereeing decision. The referee who made it needs to be assessed and asked by their governing body what prompted them to make that decision.
All this about the individual and suggesting their gender has anything to do with the decision they made is nonsense.
Any misogynistic ranting is pitiful but it also diminishes the central debate, namely it was a shockingly bad decision.
Of course the other frustration that is driving the fury is the knowledge whatever we say isn't going to get us our 2 points back.
It's that futility that makes things worse.

No male referee is that bad. The free kicks for slipping. The added time. The penalty. The part when she fell arse over tit. Embarrassing. It's a man's game. My lass agrees. She loves town but she hates female referees and commentary.

I’m going to do a poo through her letter box.. 🍻 I hope this isn't a weird fetish and you would also sh#t through the letterbox if the ref had been a bloke or someone who identified as a badger. Obviously, I don't condone defecating through people's doors as a method of protest, but this did make me chuckle, and that has been a rarity of late where all things Town are concerned!

I’m not sure whether they’re allowed to do this, but there should be tifos about stuff like this from the supporter groups. None of this ‘orcus in the boardroom’ stuff, let’s call out actual people who are directly affecting results. From a personal perspective, I genuinely believe she shouldn’t be allowed to referee one of our games again after her displays this season. Club should give her a stadium ban to prevent her from entering the premises - there’s people with bans who’ve done a lot less.

Jeremy Simpson and Coote are the worst referees I’ve seen. What about Andrew Kitchen at the Leeds United home game?

The standard of officiating in this country has plummeted, the game is regressing and being allowed to do so by organisations by the PGMOL or whatever its called and FIFA. The injury time also needs sorting out, if the 3rd official indicates there to be 5 minutes then play 5 minutes or else don't indicate how much time is left if the game is to continue for how long the ref sees fit, there's no point indicating a time then. This situation where games are being played to 100 minutes plus is ludicrous.

Completely agree with the standard of officiating though, it's absolutely terrible right now and that's all across the board. Even at Golcar United's level, it is horrendous.

We all know it’s a minimum of, but there wasn’t anywhere near 3/4 mins worth of stoppages within the initial 5 mins given!

Yeah that's why they need to remove the ambiguity,if it's 5 minutes then play 5 minutes additional time or it's misleading, they may as well say we'll play until the ref deems fit to end the game instead of pissing everyone off.

No matter how many times you explain all the additional stoppages in injury time, folk will just ignore it in favour of their own incorrect agenda. We need to channel our outrage into the award of the penalty not the timing of it which was just about right.

In fairness to me you gave no indication of whether you thought it was a valid post. Perhaps, if you feel it is bollocks, you could indicate that? Save you having to be sarky with folk.

The decision for the penalty was wrong. A very bad decision that ruined what would have been a great result. For me the frustration is that it’s come down to this. That decision as bad as it was shouldn’t be making or breaking our season. We shouldn’t leave ourselves in the position that we are so exposed to incompetence from the officials which we see every week. I think that’s why I was so disappointed yesterday. Whatever happens, next season we cannot be in this situation again. Yes she has got it very wrong and I really don’t want to see her again unless she has got a lot more experience but I think deep down we all know that relegation isn’t on that decision alone.

Well, if she is being fast tracked to the PL. All her mistakes are going to be under greater scrutiny on a national level than in the Championship. Watch ITV's FL show last night and in a couple of games in league 1 & 2 there were identical incidents. Both resulted in corners.

I agree that the penalty decision yesterday will not be the sole reason for whatever our outcome is this season.
However, at this stage, when permutations get more complex and tighter, the net result of that decision is that we would have been a point above Brum now.
Acknowledging Wed have a part to play, had this been the case, a win v Swansea and v Brum would have seen us mathematically clear of Brum.
It was just the nature of a decision that 9 times out of 10 that would have been given as a corner. Only she can explain what she saw in that to give a clear and intentional handball, because I’d imagine even some of the most partisan Leeds Utd supporters would feel we got gubbed yesterday. If she gave that, then you also have to think that Koroma being harassed in the penalty area in the first half was also a good shout for foul play.
The decision was shite, massive repercussions for us, but just another shite decision in a long list of shite decisions that many teams have to suffer.
PGMOL are a closed shop, I think they’re bad for the game personally, simply because with VAR they mark their own homework. Are they part of wider corruption in football? It certainly wouldn’t surprise me if such things came to light in yrs to come.

I can’t believe she sacked Neil Warnock, bought bugger all over the summer, hired Darren Moore then refused to sack him when he was taking us down then spent a load on crocked players in January. That bint has single-handedly relegated us. She has contributed twice now. Glad she was fast tracked as part of a box ticking agenda. Not fit for the job and pure incompetence has cost us today. How can you call yourself a Town fan and not be upset by the manner of the defeat. Was the defeat her fault, yes it was. To be fair, I wasn’t so angry that I thought we’d lost. It’s a benefit of rational thinking and being a well rounded human being.

Clearly not a penalty, there should be litigation in these circumstances,as this decision could cost our owner Millions! I get that everyone is angry, and as shit as the decision is, and as big as the impact might be, you've just got to take the consequences unfortunately. We won't be the first or the last to get stitched up. By all means, kick up a fuss and put complaints in etc, but talk of litigation etc is ridiculous.

Not defending her at all but to essentially blame what was a poor refereing decision as the reason we may go down is taking it all too far. Appointing 3 managers who, so far, have only managed 9 wins out of 43 will be the real reason!
