André not a happy bunny and understandably so. I think it's fair to say some arses will have been kicked. Whether it will make a difference is another matter. Kicking arse is a minority part of management. Good managers, having identified and explained the problem(s), instruct, praise, encourage and coach. Let's hope that AB's management skills are up to the task! And people like Warnock find a way to get everyone onside. Whether they should have to is a different matter and I'm sure Andre would like to be given the opportunity to get rid of a few and bring his own in. You get the impression from snippets he has struggled with the culture in the squad. I bet he'd like to cull a few. |

Does anyone remember the 2000/01 relegation season? We were 20th in the championship with 4 then 3 then 2 and 1 game to play and only needed a point to stay up as we were 2 points ahead of both Palace and Portsmouth with a superior goal difference,but on the last day of the season we lost 2-1 to Birmingham whilst all our rivals both won and we finished 22nd and got relegated! Will it be repeat or revenge? It’s still seared in my mind. Me too. I drove back early from a caravan holiday in Mablethorpe to watch the match but got stuck in traffic and ended up parking up and listening to commentary on the car radio!! |

16 league meetings Datm (aka JSS) with half finishing in stalemate, the Brummies have 5 wins & Town 3 (95,96 & 2023), overall Town have the edge 44-41 & 35 draws.....100 years ago next Friday we thanked the Blues for holding Cardiff City to a goal less draw helping us win our 1st title, no thanks today I suspect.

In 2001 I was a bag of nerves for a similar fixture whereas relegation effectively happened last week for me so I'm past really giving a shit. |

I went to watch Birmingham v Cardiff a couple of weeks ago. Despite losing the game, I was surprised at how well Brum played in the first half. Cardiff struggled to get the ball out from their defence and Brum’s press was excellent. They faded in the second half though and Cardiff reaped their reward. Heart says 1-0 win, head says 1-0 loss. 🤷♂️

Hope the admins have allocated some spare time from 5pm today 😀 well after last weeks debacle against Swansea I, like many others, let my feelings get the better of me..and duly banned until today...10+ years on DATM and that was a first... They're merciless...but the worst is when 'someone' rats on you...and reports you.. So I say to fellow posters..stay calm but also allow some tolerance. For me I'll be staying off DATM ...unless we win of course... |
