Nicholls Turton Spencer New left back Ruffles Lees Balker New centre half Kasumu Wiles Iorpenda New midfielder New midfielder Healey Radulovic Simpson New striker New wide forward New wide forward I’d be looking at this.Sorba will move on and fair play to him one of a few who deserve it.Helik will go and probs will even if we did manage to stay up.Rudoni might have admirers but it might depend on who and whether he thinks he will get games. Was told on Saturday Pearson has a move lined up so with likes of ward and koroma yes me may not be able to shift them but if Pearson can get a move anyone should be able to.

Thought Pearson was under contract? To be honest I think he would be OK at L1 level. Rudoni doesn't do enough in games and I'm not convinced anyone will come in for him at Championship level, his final 3rd product is dire at times but he does work hard and gives 100%, he would be a good assett in L1 too.

Would agree on rudoni.he’s very tidy on the ball and grafts but end product be it shooting or a final ball/defence splitting ball just isn’t there.Maybe it would be a level down with a bit more confidence? Pearson yes he got another year I think but it was mentioned to me on Saturday that he has a move lined up.Could be bollocks that though

I’d like it to be similar to Wagners first summer, a lot of captains and players coming off successful season. Same with Lee Clark wasn’t it? We signed a lot of league 1 POTS for their respective clubs and captains if I remember rightly. Peter Clarke, Anthony Kay etc

Pearson won't be here. He rues playing for this club. Would be ridiculous if true, almost none of these will be part of a side that will be battling for promotion to Premier League again so that one season should have made the move here worth it

Seeing people name these players: Hudlin Simpson Mahoney Austerfield Rowe Ward Ruffles Do we think people will actually make offers for them? They're all under contract. I hear the Miami Heat are looking at Hudlin? That'll whoosh over SO many people's heads. Not Hudlin's obviously I only get it from working at JJB and selling their merch

I think we need a big clear out to reduce the wage bill. Also lets be honest we're not likely to bounce right back unless via the play offs as the club is a right state, need to move maybe a dozen out, sign about ten.
Then what happens to Edwards and Cartwright? Does the manager stay and do we need to get a new one. Will there be a breakthrough with Stadium negotiations. What happens with the academy next year
It's just a off season of chaos frankly on the playing and lots "to do" with club infrastructure. And that is zero basis for a top two push so lets be realistic. It's consolidation with hopefully a second half of season tilt at the play offs. Players like REG would have been ideal but we "upgraded"!
I'd go as solid as we can with the players we have - very experienced defence at first but look to quickly bring in Ayina, maybe Olagunju and Iorpenda from the B Team.
After than anyone's guess as I imagine many will want out (stay in the Championship or move back to London) and we may well be forced to cash in on Spencer as well

You're living in cloud cuckoo land comparing a bottom of the Championship winger to some of the best players in the country. Also for context, Thomas has more goal contributions (classed as a goal or assist) this season than 3 of those you've mentioned, the other 4 are in the top 10 scorers in the Premier League ffs. Jesus Christ I aren’t comparing his ability to them, I’m highlighting that wingers are expected to score goals. Look at those lot down the road, Summerville gnonto Dan james etc etc all scored plenty more than thomas. Do you want me to go through the whole league of wingers explaining to you their goal record? Summerville and gnonto scored tonight but wingers aren’t supposed to score goals…. Makes me chuckle

Genuinely don’t think Thomas is a top 20 winger in the championship, just because he’s our best doesn’t mean he’s good. I’d love to see us add two wingers who can score 10 goals each next season. Not properly had that since Roberts and Pilkington. Just as I say it another for Summerville. But wingers aren’t there to score goals 🥴

He had Ben B Diaz and szmodics at Blackburn and still got found out. He’s a good set piece taker who runs forward hard but has little to no end product. 7 goals in over 115 championship games just ain’t good enough for somebody who plays as far forward as he does. I’d be interested to see his assists from set pieces vs open play too.

Szmodics is having a freak season - no one would have thought he’d end up scoring 31 goals this season. Whenever Town feature on Sky, they describe him as a “ strikers dream” I’ve seen some sublime crosses from him this season with no one in the team capable of getting even close to them. In a shambolic season, his attitude and workrate have stood out as a rare highlight .

If he's staying then we need to do away with this passing out from the back and get a proper target man who the ball sticks to Wow the nostalgia of league one days longing for a target man. Is Steve Howard still available? Up front with Matty Fryatt for Leicester very useful duo. I remember we went there with Parker & Jevons up front and both scored absolute worldies and we still lost.

Nobody wants sorba, I imagine partly because of that World Cup rubbish when he came out giving it the big one to England despite never getting close to starting for wales.

I recently met with a fan of Blackburn Rovers - he thought Sorba was the worst signing that they had made in a long time - a little bit like my Rotherham supporting mates who kept asking me what did Huddersfield see in Scott High. Sorba could be good - not great - if he could beat a player and deliver a decent pass/cross from open play - a typical example was when he done extremely well against Preston with his run from deep and then his final (easy) ball was shocking. That summed up for me that his end product is poor apart from his set plays - and even those have become hit or miss in recent games. He's done very well to get to where he has and credit to him for that, but in my opinion he's just not as good as he thinks he is.

Pearson won't be here. He rues playing for this club. As we all know every player in the team these days is expected to be good on the ball and be able to pass it at this level, even the keeper. Pearson is our worst player in that respect and is lower division quality. Does he think that if he'd stayed at Luton he'd be lining up in the Premier League? He was playing non league and League 2 up to the age of 23. Signing for Town has probably been the best payday in his career. Deluded. If the above is true and he does rue playing for us of course.

Most championship teams would want Helik & Thomas from our squad - I think those are the most obvious. Others will look at Rudoni, Nicholls despite poor again this season
Thomas put in two crosses Koroma should have scored, another where he chased the lost cause and a few other decent ones which looked more threatening with Ward on the pitch without creating a clear chance.
But also some dreadful ones - the first & second goals came from an intercepted cross and the free kick to the keeper. That doesn’t mean another team wouldn’t want him he’s a genuine threat with pace, direct and generally set pieces - most championship teams would want him

I’m in his set pieces can be great - can be - not always are But I don’t buy the we finish below Rotherham - other players can take set pieces. How many set pieces did we score from under Warnock when Thomas was at Blackburn? Pearson alone must have scored 4/5

Worth having a look here: www.fotmob.com/en-GB/players/812982/sorba-thomasThe key stat (and I'm very aware of what I'm about to use...) is xA - expected assists. He's got 9. The quality of chances he's created should have seen him have more assists, by some distance. He's setting them up. The team's just making a balls up of those chances. I had a look at Koroma for context - 6 goals from 7.3 xG. Ward - 3 goals from 4.11. Even allowing for the bollocks that is xG, the chances have been created, but not put away. Good forwards have low xG and high actual goals, and outperform it. Good wingers have high xA, creating good quality chances. Rudoni has an xG of over 8! While we're at it, the maligned Burgzorg has 7 goals from 4.18 xG. Though that might be from his habit of taking on shots for the sake of it. Stats have to marry up with what you're actually seeing, after all.

I think Thomas will be wanted by most bottom half Championship teams and handful of top half ones. However, i think wherever he goes, it’ll be as a squad player fighting for his place, rather than the guaranteed starter he is at Town
I think the same applies with Helik and Rudoni
I don’t see any championship clubs signing any of those 3 as starting 11 players.
I can’t see any championship clubs wanting Nicholls. He’s in his 30’s, his distribution is slow & poor and he’s not good with his feet. Championship clubs want goalkeepers who are good with their feet so they can play out from the back, but also have good quick distribution so they can hit teams quickly on the counter. The Swansea keeper is a perfect example of what Championship clubs look for in a keeper
