Of course there is a cultural difference, I'm sure having attended games KN gets that. If we don't encourage kids to come to games and enjoy themselves then we really are fooked. They certainly aren't going to be hooked on the football at the moment are they ? Were you there in 2001? This is not the game to be bringing kids to their first match. Kids love this stuff. Day out with family, bit a junk food, sing and shout,  a flag. Who said anything about their first match. The kids will be back. My son only used to come for the hot dog at half time. |

Just make sure the hundreds of kids attending their first game are in the family stand. This game is going to get very nasty if these jokers put in a 'performance' like last week and many other games this season. That's a very sensible shout. For 'quid a kid' initiatives get the lower tier family stand packed. Makes for good optics if there happens to be a Town goal that end too.  |

Not a fan of the Bam Bam stick. Assume they are plastic vs the paper recyclable clappers. Think the draw is a good idea and maybe something more regularly occurring but not for Saturday after such a difficult season. Maybe something to do next season Yes, we need more draws next season 🤣 |

I don’t know why it can’t just be accepted for what it is and let the club get on with it.
If your name/seat is drawn no one is forcing you to accept a prize for doing nothing except supporting town.
Refuse the prize if you’re so offended by it.
This will have been planned in advance and like someone said, it’s the last home game, no conspiracy.

Can’t believe how many folk are waving the white flag!
Yes Saturday was woeful (and as much of the season) but IF we win on Saturday anything can happen last game!
It’s obviously a way to get more folk there, they tried the players rallying call, we moaned at that Typical Yorkshire folk not happy until Kev says “come down and I’ll give you £50!”
Maybe put some of your grievances behind you until after we’re officially relegated then you can moan about how Kevin Nagle pronounces tomatoes!
I wouldn’t blame Nagle for sacking it all off with some of you lot.

In fact, it has nothing at all to do with the initiatives. Rather, it is about the timing, which is appalling. It’s like carrying on with great Aunt Mabel’s garden party, just after she has fallen down the stairs, incurring two broken legs and two broken arms. The clapper thing should have been done earlier in the season. The draw has the potential to be met with complete apathy or possible extreme anger depending on how the team are doing. As I said earlier, the logical thing to do was pull the live draw and incorporate it into season card sales, maybe culminating in a draw at the first home game. The timing looks ill-judged and desperate imo. The fan park looks great to me even if it is something I will not use. Similarly, the Club continues to do invaluable work in the community with its school partnerships. The team that go into our schools make me proud to be a Town fan. What is happening on Saturday is the polar opposite. As ever, the really important thing is what happens on the pitch. Here’s hoping for a performance and three points. |

I turned to my mate and I said ‘I need a gargle now’. In the pub, I quoffed my pint (bread and butter, nice) and said ‘that’s me done for the season’. I gave up and until this morning, I wasn’t even going to go tomorrow. Time is a healer and football can surprise you. We still have a chance. We need a minor miracle or two coupled with a few snookers, but we have a chance. Tomorrow, I will get a load on in Magic Rock and back the team once more. It’s what we do isn’t it? Rambo continues to do a great job I've not heard announcers at our ground...its been SILENT all season barring perhaps 1 game after someone said they'd tweaked the PA system when it was like listening to Megadeth.Oi, I like listening to Megadeth. Aren’t we allowed a bit of gallows humour Pete? 100%, as a Pad Brat it's one of my favourite types of humour. But the majority of the negative posts aren't gallows humour, they're just negative. The club does something positive (albeit shit timing) and the rattles and dummies are flying all over the fecking place. This is a forum, and with the state we’re in it’s only to be expected. I think a good few of these negative posts are more about people laughing about this and shaking their head at the timing. It is a bit bonkers really, but most will be secretly thinking that winning a decent prize would be some sort of compensation for a shit season. Let’s hope we ‘come on down’ but also rise above the drop line on Saturday. I think most fans are just shaking out the negative stuff on here, come 3PM tomorrow, most will be back in blind faith and biting fingernails mode… |

If Town had announced 6 months ago "on the last home game of the season we'll have a prize draw for all attendees" would the posts be half as negative?
Is it truly just the timing of the announcement or have we a large percentage of miserable buggers (me included sometimes) on this forum?
