At the risk of not sounding super positive (apologies in advance) is it just me or is the wheels of promoting the weekend fixture totally silent from the marketing department? Is it: - early white flag ? - saving it till Thursday then ramp it up? - or is it let the talking be done on the pitch for this one? - or are they expecting total toxic from KO (maybe not the best choice of words) from home fans so ain’t bothering Just seems very on the back of “let’s pack the JSS for these two games!” ….. yes, Swansea was awful. Yes, certain players clearly ain’t bothered, but the fat lady is only warming up…..she ain’t sang yet. It could just be a magical day all round…….thats me trying to be super positive again.

There’s one thing imminent that will be announced, something we started planning shortly after KN bought the club. My guess is, regardless of what’s announced there will be some (maybe many) not too enthralled, but nothing means more to him than the supporters, so no reason not to follow through with a small token of appreciation, regardless of the future holds over the next two weeks. Take care…..

It would be typical town to absolutely shithouse it and stay up somehow.
I am amazed due to this diabolical season we aren't down already. A shambles from top to bottom and east to west.
If we do stay up I don't want any celebrations or thoughts from the board on this season. Let's bury it where it belongs.
I want action, a clear plan and competent people in charge of my football club. I want to see a strategic approach to running this club, not buzz word bingo and stupid you tube videos. It's tinpot beyond belief.
That will make me invest in what Nagle and co have to bring to this football club. Until I see that I'll keep hold of my money thanks very much.
Season ticket holder for 35 years now and I've bloody had it with these absolute idiots in charge. I am not just talking about Nagle. It's Hoyle, Hodgkinson, Davy...the flaming lot of them have spunked the legacy we worked so hard to achieve.
It's like the Premier league years were an episode of Dallas...like it never happened.
Shame on the people who have run our club.

I’m sure you’re aware you’re likely to get some shit the way the seasons gone and some very unfair things written about your friend. Just the way it is with us lot, hero or zero. At one point there were petitions to make Dean Hoyle a Sir and have a statue. If it had happened it would have been torn down at one point.

Sorry mate, I think we’re screwed this time. And that from someone who’s relatively positive. I was convinced we’d win last Saturday and we all know how that turned out. All hope drained out of me after that lacklustre performance.

Well, the only thing I've really seen from Town officially is they changed their cover photo on Facebook, to a photo with AB embracing what I can make out is Healey, Matos and Thomas. I suspect its after the Millwall winner.
The comments were less than positive....

All tickets should be £1 for the Birmingham game why haven't we done this Don't think we can, unless we offer the same deal to Birmingham fans (particularly in the context of them sharing the south stand, so I'm pretty sure whatever price it is for our fans in there would have to be the same for Birmingham fans)

I think after that disgrace last Saturday they are right to let the dust settle for a few days. As Chicken and Hartrick have said for the last 2 years, there are ways to lose and Saturday was definitely not the way. Not sure I remember a team giving up in such an important moment and I certainly don't remember a manager openly coming on and saying the team don't have the will.
They have lost the fans and I'm not sure they are overly bothered by that at playing level. A flukey win on Saturday will change that and the majority will give them full support for that Ipswich game. The fans are hurting because they care and we have been let down so so badly (again). We aren't a greedy fan base and we don't ask as much as other clubs but this last few weeks have failed to deliver even the most basic of fundementals.
It's nice that the owner wants to show some appreciation for the fans but sadly this appreciation and respect hasn't been replicated by those who he pays a fortune in wages to.

Mixture of all four. The outcome and the body language of everyone in the ground on Saturday looked like an acceptance and realisation that we are down and out. Momentum and the moment has gone, we have had so many opportunities to get out of this mess and we haven't taken any of them, infact we've fallen further into the hole. Any rallying calls would piss a lot of people off and be heavily mocked and abused. I don't think having occasional fans turning up on Saturday will really help, it might put people off coming back in the future. Season is over for Town, my only hope is we can somehow engineer a scenario where we take Birmingham City with us but I we don't have it in us to win, at best we might muster a draw, which could save some 'in person' humiliation on Saturday afternoon and at least we won't have to watch their fans celebrating survival in our stadium.

Agreed - best for them to leave it and stay quiet now. Season is done; as you say, a rallying call would be a bit embarrassing and be met with criticism. I think they're playing it right.

Take care….. I know the post above will be jumped on if the expected happens. But we’ve been here before. I think relegation from the PL was inevitable for a club like Town. That’s not me playing us down, it’s the fact that the PL controls the narrative, and within that division there are clubs that drive things in their favour. You have to be in a very select club or rinse £m’s down the drain in order to even be considered worthy of being in their presence. My views on the PL are probably well known on here anyway. I’m guessing here, but the last time we were relegated to the third division (or whatever it was known as back then), was in the days without ubiquitous social media. Relegation and negativity is simply amplified nowadays, hence you get the stuff on here that would have died down much earlier pre-internet and SM. We’ve been here before, we’ll live, we’ll be fucked off and disappointed, but many will be back next season after the immediate emotions have drained away. Of course we’ll lose a few who won’t be able to cope with L1 football, but they’ll still be watching on with the same passion and trepidation as ever. One last hurrah this Saturday, and see if that gives us the opportunity for another last hurrah the week after. But we’ll be reet, and whatever this is that’s planned, I hope supporters will see it as genuine and not attempt to divert from a truly crap season. We’ve had plenty of crap seasons over the years, and that’s what makes the outliers that much more enjoyable, and where Town are concerned, generally unexpected. UTT!!!
