I'm not been funny but have we signed anybody yet? Club needs to get their finger out! It's the 22nd of May and you want a flurry of incoming players already? I've seen Rotherham have signed 4 already, but if they're shit it doesn't make any difference. I'd also question our due diligence if we were bringing players in so quickly. Last thing we need is another big injury list or a set of unprofessional players. Rotherham doing all the business early Surely it’s our turn to Batth soon

I'm not been funny but have we signed anybody yet? Club needs to get their finger out! Other than Rotherham, I haven't seen many (if any) clubs making signings. I imagine Duff will be reviewing recordings of our matches this year, and liaising with the coaching staff, and possibly senior squad members to get a general feel of what went wrong this past season, and who can fit his vision and play style. From there, I'd have a guess there will need to be discussions on identifying the positions we need to strengthen, and possibly identifying those who are likely to leave or intending to be sold/moved on (and get the feelers out to their agents), a shortlist of transfer targets drawn up, as well as budget discussions. All this needs to happen prior to the actual transfer negotiations. I'm not sure who else is involved in the process of transfers, whether its MC, scouting staff or whomever (and I won't pretend to have the slightest clue of how it all works) but I can't imagine they'd be like 'Hi Michael, pleased to meet you, welcome to Hundersfield town home to Kieron Philips. We reckon Jordi Hiwula would be an excellent free signings for us, he knows the Town well!'. Give the man some time to settle in, and get to work. Given we still have a week left in May, there's no need to worry

And how would you know this? His stats say the opposite. It's my opinion, there's no fact in there. I think he'd walk into our team, especially in league one. 6 goals in 80 games. That really is what we need.

Is he a lees replacement if his injury is a bad one? Do we think there is any chance Helik stays? Batth would have to play centrally for me,I don’t think he’s ever had any pace has he?certainly not now.can’t be one of the two either side of a 3

Come on lad, the guys only 22 years old. 20 of those appearances came when he was 18 at a relegation bound Wigan and a further 40 or so in a relegation bound Leeds in the PL.

For example, they've signed JCH, who a lot of people on here said is not good enough for Huddersfield Town, so that would suggest not good business for Rotherham. I'd personally rather wait and sign the right players.

I'm just relieved we have a manager on board who knows all three of the leagues. I'd imagine he knows exactly who he wants to sign already. Looking forward to having a team of proper professionals to support next season. Talk of Rodriguez sounds fanciful but if he's ready to maybe take a step into coaching then who knows.

No surprise Rotherham are doing business early....they've had a head start of about 6 weeks on knowing which league they'll be playing in, plus they were so far behind the other 23 teams, they had to get some bodies in.

Not against using beswicks tbh.may as well utilise it.long as we aren’t limited to that.which we won’t to be fair as contraty to popular belief we have signed folk who aren’t beswicks.

If they have players who fit what we need on their books it's good business to try to exploit that connection.

Contract has already been offered. but he could still decide to go elsewhere if someone offers better terms in a higher division which if he does will then look like I’m talking bollox when he doesn’t arrive. Time will tell won’t it pal

And we're not under any obligation - but if Duff, for example liked the look of a specific client of theirs then why not? It's not that different from managers who sign players they're familiar with, is it?

Bad decision Wingman. Bowing to the masses... As a matter of interest what offends you so much about it being on the main board in its relevant category and where its really easy to see and access?! I must be missing something I'm sure but I just don't get the reasoning behind everything being separated! It's like the daft long threads that get regurgitated. Like people want it to be like a reference library rather than a forum. It was better how it used to be a long while back and before people started fannying about with it IMHO Having this thread here is a small step in the right direction, not sure why it needs to be pinned though tbh. Let it flow! Are you EVER happy? It's now on the main board - PINNED - so everyone knows where it is. It's trade off; if it was on the main board unpinned then threads would be started at random on the same subjects. By pinning it on the main board it's where it was called for and easily located. God damn right you can't make everyone happy.
