Well looking at their list of clients, it’s hardly inspiring is it. And we're not under any obligation - but if Duff, for example liked the look of a specific client of theirs then why not? It's not that different from managers who sign players they're familiar with, is it? I agree to an extent, but Warnock liked the look of a few of his sons players allegedly, didn’t seem to go down too well with the club. My point is if we are going to ‘potentially’ align with a sports agency, like many clubs do, I would much prefer one with a better standard of players.

There is that…had a quick look through their players and not many up to much. I think if we just use it to pick off the better ones, even if it’s for squad type players it could be useful. Tbh how many out of the 8 or so we’ve signed last summer and January are Beswicks. Is it just Tom edwards?so hardly relying on them up to press.

Yep it's either a lazy signing from Cartwright/Duff or a lazy rumour started by kenny. I'd plump for the latter. Of course it’s the latter because Dan says so. Contract has already been offered. but he could still decide to go elsewhere if someone offers better terms in a higher division which if he does will then look like I’m talking bollox when he doesn’t arrive. Time will tell won’t it pal This isn't bollox

Other than Daniel Iversen, we've already either signed (Edwards), or attempted to sign (Morgan, Rodriguez) every current Beswicks client of note. Batth left them for Chris Evans in 2018. The consultancy side of their business has been of far greater recent consequence to HTAFC in connecting Baldwin with KN...

I only plumped for the latter as I'd looked down the Beswick Sports clients on Trasfermarkt a few weeks back and noticed Danny Batth as being an out of contract, ex Stoke centre half and it looked very obvious. (incognito has confirmed he's not actually with Beswicks anymore) If we are looking at him it's possibly a reflection of how bad Tom Lees' knee injury is.

As a matter of interest what offends you so much about it being on the main board in its relevant category and where its really easy to see and access?! I must be missing something I'm sure but I just don't get the reasoning behind everything being separated! It's like the daft long threads that get regurgitated. Like people want it to be like a reference library rather than a forum. It was better how it used to be a long while back and before people started fannying about with it IMHO Having this thread here is a small step in the right direction, not sure why it needs to be pinned though tbh. Let it flow! Are you EVER happy? It's now on the main board - PINNED - so everyone knows where it is. It's trade off; if it was on the main board unpinned then threads would be started at random on the same subjects. By pinning it on the main board it's where it was called for and easily located. God damn right you can't make everyone happy. Alright calm down I just don't see the point in messing about with it personally, just let the software do it's thing. I am quite intrigued to why some people want all the threads boxed off and organised like a big content management system when it's just meant for chatting! It's obvious there's a decent (minority ) proportion who want it like that though. For me the main issue is having to tap around to get to the various boards and remembering to check two boards for news. It doesn't work very well in Android or IOS, the navigation between boards isn't great. Thanks for the change you made though, appreciate it!

I’d need convincing.probably brings the experience but not sure what’s left in the tank. Is he a lees replacement if his injury is a bad one? Do we think there is any chance Helik stays? Batth would have to play centrally for me,I don’t think he’s ever had any pace has he?certainly not now.can’t be one of the two either side of a 3 I would actually think this would be a solid signing. My post was play on words... 'Batth' 'shower'. Absolutely wasted now 😁😁 Not to some of us, I just couldn't think of any bath/shower time puns. Maybe we should choose to let it all wash over us, or soak up the info like a sponge?

A Derby County fan told me earlier in the week they haven’t offered Conor Hourihane a new deal despite him turning in some consistently good performances this season for them. I’d take him.

I'd hope Batth was as replacement for Lees (_if reports about hsi injury are right) rather than Helik.

In all seriousness I'm trying to strike a balance that suits everyone but ultimately I'll have to make a final call and some folk will love it and some will hate it. I've already had PM's slating me for shifting it!

Batth’s a good signing at this level Another one who, like Jay Rodriguez, is a pragmatic signing for short term improvement.

I'd hope Batth was as replacement for Lees (_if reports about hsi injury are right) rather than Helik. Agreed. If we lose Helik and replace him with Batth then on paper that's a poor swop. If we are replacing Lees or Pearson with Batth then I'm happy. If I was Kev I'd be going all out to get Helik to stay, even offer him improved terms. He is our best player and would give the fans a huge lift if he stayed.

Totally agree. If they have players who fit what we need on their books it's good business to try to exploit that connection. Agree, don’t see why it bothers folk so much?! Possibly because it's another stick to beat Cartwright with

Rotherham can sign 100 players in May for all I care, they’re still shit and they’re buying obvious players. If we’d made those signings I know what the response on here would be.
Cartwright and Duff have already said they’re looking at a few players to bring in. How long has he even been in the building? Hasn’t spent any time with the existing team yet so I wouldn’t expect any signings any time soon.
June will be a good month - just you wait and see.

Rotherham must do this every time they go down, it’s clearly not the best strategy seeing as these players never do anything in the championship. Buy the better players for league one and then get promoted and are unable to shift them or have faith in players who have rarely performed at the higher level. No wonder they are such a yoyo

I did wonder if some of those told they can “look for pastures new” included any of the January arrivals and not just the bad eggs. I could see Balker and Bojan being included in that category (allowed to leave, not the bad egg one ).

Balker showed glimpses of quaility, but did not play enough therefore i feel it would be hard to get our cash back or even close. I don't think it would be not worth our while to sell him , for much less. The same goes for Bojan, therefore unless they are desprate to leave and Nagle doesn't mind taking a hit, then i can't see them leaving. I also think that would be a big problem for Cartwright and his recuritment staff, that within 6 months , 2 million pound plus signings have left , without really having an impact, plus having to take a hit on both of them.
