Didn't get that proven striker, other than that looks a good window. Kept our main assets we wanted to keep and brought in some decent additions. 8/10.

Fair play. That is insane for Stansfield. Risdale tips his hat to that kind of spending.

That's bananas, they've spent more than any other teams annual budget to buy just one player. God knows what they're paying him, but it will be way more than May is getting and his wages are stupid.

We've had a good window. Unfortunatly a 'good window' from 'in chaos' is probably not enough. An alfie may would have been an 'excellent window' and likely seen us competing for autos.
Cant blame the club too much, we've had an awful lot of shit to sort on and off the field, but it's the same old story in regards to pushing the boat out for that top quality.
Hoyle did the same in L1 then ended up spending more than he would have on a striker due to failure.

Spare a thought for Taylor. He clearly wanted the move. He’s been messed about as much if not more.

If we fail to get back up this season I can see us been in this god awful league for many years to come

It's delivered Lasse Sorenson, Mikel Miller, Anthony Evans, Herbie Kane, Joe Hodge, Callum Marshall and Virgil Lonwijk. Bar the two who haven't played yet, all have contributed well already, Sorensen has multiple assists, and Evans and Marshall are both already amongst the goals. We currently sit joint top of the league unbeaten, and have conceded from one penalty, you'd think we were rooted to the bottom of the league the way some people are going on.

You would think Birmingham will be near enough promoted come January time. With them signing Stansfield and Dykes May could be out of the picture 🤣 cheeky loan bid from Town in January hopefully to cement second place 🤔 Stranger things have happended in football.

Correct but the one issue this club has struggled with is to nail down a player who can knock in 15 to 20 goals per season,so we're is this player???

Don't want to worry folk, but in 12 months time we'll need even more strikers as Ward and Koroma will both be out of contract. To make things worse, at the moment both Harratt & Hudlin will still be here with 12 months left on theirs 😮😒😬

If we'd spent anywhere near the money Birmingham have spent, then I'd be seriously concerned about what the future might hold. Spunking that sort of cash outside of the Premier League very rarely ends well. I'd say we have the second strongest squad in League 1 behind them, and their wage bill is now probably way more than double ours; which is even more staggering when you consider that last season we were both relegated from the Championship and the gap won't have been anywhere close to that.

I don’t get all this talk of poor Taylor getting messed about by Luton.
They clearly must have said, “providing we get someone in you can go out.”
If he came up yesterday to sort medical and personal terms in principle, then that seems like good management from both Town and Luton’s part. However, he wasn’t going to leave without incomings.
Unfortunately this logical approach seems bizarre to Town fans as we let Rhodes go last season (presumably thinking we’d get a striker in - that must have fell through). This approach lead us to use Hudlin in the Championship who couldn’t get a squad number with us in League one. Again today, we’ve let Harratt go without an incoming. Just because Town don’t take a hard line approach we cannot criticise Luton as they seem to run a tight ship.
I thought pre-season that we might just miss out on play offs and I think that could still be the case. But at least we can get used to winning more than we lose and we could use this year as a springboard for a title challenge next year. Had we got May or an equivalent in, I’d be optimistic of a challenge this season but if I am proved wrong then the standard in League one must be shite. As it stands I think that the likes of Brum, Wrexham, Bolton, Stockport and Charlton will take enough points off us to stop us bouncing straight back up.

Last few games haven't been great, but there's nothing telling me that Wrexham, Bolton, Stockport (in particular) and Charlton will finish higher than us. We'll get better, more coherent and more fluid under Duff as the season progresses.

Obviously I don’t want us to be spending Birmingham money but the old saying goes - who dares wins. Nothing is certain but the whole of nagles reign so far has seemed like handbrake on, plain old town. We have yet to make a signing that makes us go wow or other teams scared. That was I was hoping for in league one, but here we are as usual wishing for a striker or that one player to give us the X factor. All this after we’ve sold a 5m player, loaned our best creator and spent probably less than 1 million quid. The same amount we once spent on Danny ward back in 2011 I believe. Kevin talks a big game but for once it would be nice to act like we are the big game.

Well that’s that. It could prove costly come the end of the season as we’ve already seen that Koroma can’t hit a barn door, Healey missing a strikers 1v1 already and yet to get off the mark and his injury concerns, Ward couldn’t score in a brothel rarely fit, Marshall looks promising but can’t put all our faith in an unproven young lad, Bojan never fit made of glass. Putting faith in this strikeforce that couldn’t cut it in the championship and ultimately got us relegated. And Nagle sugarcoating them saying he has faith in them is not on, any injuries up top and we’re extremely short. Harratt going yes he was pony but he’s featured this season played minutes and replaced him with nobody.
The fact is this club has such a small mentality and make do with what we’ve got attitude, too many fans are happy clappers enjoying just being able to participate, they wouldn’t mind finishing outside the play offs this year that’s what makes our club and fan base a shambles, the standards are so low.
It’s paramount that we go back up first time of asking.
