Black or Blue and white hooped socks are proper traditional Town colours.

Black or Blue and white hooped socks are proper traditional Town colours. They're not, though. We've had just as many seasons and just as much success in white socks, until we artificially manufactured this idea about black socks. Yes, black in the 20s. But in living memory we've worn white. |

I hear you and in no way disagreeing with you…from memory I always feel this it’s predominantly black socks the home kit feels more like a ‘Town’ kit rather than just another off the peg blue and white kit…just like the shorts, I always feel they should be white but aware sometimes they are blue (too much like Sheff Wed I feel)…again, away kit I’ve always felt a black and red striped kit is a ‘traditional’ one for Town, no rational reason why though, maybe just memories from years gone by (I am the wrong side of 50 now)…it’s all opinions with kit, certain kit’s be really liked and bought in the past but ,alas, have nearly always coincided with a poor season…. |

I prefer the black socks but can't say it bothers me.
It'll be interesting to see if (as rumoured) we have a new manufacturer and who our new sponsor will be.

We went from 1937 to 1989 without black socks so it's not that traditional.

I prefer the white socks personally, but I'm all in favour of tradition, and because we're celebrating our second year of our centenary of ⭐️⭐️⭐️ In our 1924/25 season we wore black socks with blue and white hoops at the top.
Hopefully we can win some title next season to make the ⭐️⭐️⭐️ legends proud.

If there was a choice between 1. finishing Top 2 or winning the playoffs next season and playing in L&&ds colours all season. 2. missing out on promotion in the best Town kit of all time. I know what I would choose. |

100% bring back the black socks. Especially as we’re supposed to be celebrating 100 years since our league titles….when we wore black socks. It makes us different from all the other blue and white striped teams.
