What's especially interesting on there is that there are a few posters who clearly see us as big fish in the league, with comments like we can't compete with the wages Hudds will pay etc. Some of our posters should take note. Just wait till Crawley get promoted

Just a solid appointment. He has just had a few months off so should be able to get straight to it too. The real problem at Town since the play-off final has been the barren state of the squad, not the manager, so hopefully we can crack on with that now.

I hope to god our fans don't go away giving it the big un. Please don't sing... 'shit ground no fans', it's truly embarrassing. I agree with you totally, I was meaning more that a realistic expectation is to be challenging for promotion immediately.

I don't know how it will work out, nobody does if they are honest. Obviously hope he is successful and I am glad it didn't drag out for a month. Need to make the most of the summer. Exactly, i hope he is successful but to me it's like turning up in a Hillman Imp and hoping to win the Gumball 3000. thas saying he’s gonna be brilliant then Hillman Imps being the best car of its time and class by gumball you mean gobstopper right

Not the sexiest of appointments, but I have it on good authority that Natalie Portman turned it down, and Christoper Schindler didn't feel ready to take the step into management. Wish him all the luck in the World, regardless. Natalie Portman is definitely a manager I could get behind

Hes as much chance of being a success as anyone else we could have appointed.
He knows the division very well which is bonus compared to Breitenreiter.
We roll the dice yet again..good luck to the guy

Not a particularly exciting choice but a good one. Knows the League, good track record of success anf plays a decent brand of football. Also kudos to the club for getting him in early doors so he has the benefit of a full preseason and transfer window.

Well, we wanted less of Moore.
Breitenreiter wasn't so bright.
So will Duff do his stuff..?
Let's hope 3rd time lucky 🙏

I have no idea if he'll be a success but, like all those before, he deserves to show he is capable. As we are in League One this is a credible appointment.
The good thing is that this has been resolved quickly. He needs to get to work, with MC, to start building the squad he needs for next season.
All eyes to the transfer rumours to see who we are looking at. I'm hoping for a significant turnover of players and a fresh outlook.

Duff’s agents happen to be the lot that Cartwright used to work for. Problem is when somebody who knows nothing about football re interviews the staff, they can bullshit you to their hearts content. Jobs for the boys yet again.

As good an appointment as could be expected, particularly in the time frame since Breitenreiter left, which suggests that Mr Nagle was conducting some concurrent activity while discussing the situation with Breitenreiter. Next thing to sort is a decent striker…….

It will be interesting to see how much of a say he has in the retained list and other outgoings. Will he be allowed to make his own judgements on the troublemakers or will it be taken out of his hands given people at the club know the issues already? As said plenty of times, I think early business is the most important thing this summer, be decisive with incomings and outgoings and give Duff plenty of time to get his ways across.

Next thing to sort is a decent striker……. We have several on the books already, including Jordan Rhodes. A bigger priority for me is a much stronger midfield.

Jobs for the boys yet again. Made me laugh that they were reinterviewed and still got the job. Question 1 - tell me about any success you have had in the past 12 months... End of interview.

Jobs for the boys yet again. I’m not sure I understand that. Are you saying Duff talks BS and Cartwright knows nothing about football? Don’t you think Duff’s experience is relevant? Given he was second choice, or so it appears, to AB does that mean AB is better at the BS? Perhaps the reason we have got Duff is because of Cartwright’s contacts and experience. Perhaps Duff feels he is a man he can work with. Two sides to every coin.
