I think this thread will be needed...
cameo and Maynard both suggest Duff is the next manager. Seems a sensible shout to me, someone who knows the league. At least until November when we'll be ready for the next one.

If correct then there are credible reasons why Duff would be a good choice for a League One club.
I'll reserve judgement until it is confirmed and we hear what the plan is.
This has to be MCs last throw of the dice, I hope it's a good one.

Can’t say it’s overly exciting but at least we’ve sorted it out early. He’s got a massive job on his hands and I hope he gets the backing from the board to make sweeping changes. I really hope he’s still here in 12 months time, sick of changing managers every 3 months.

When Barnsley played Sheffield Wednesday in the playoffs that year; I said loser has to manage Huddersfield Town. Funny how it’s ended up they both might be managing Town.
My main issue is the commute if he’s not willing to move. He can’t take training sessions often, as he missed some at Swansea. It didn’t really work with Chris Powell and he used to do the same thing.
Cheltenham to Huddersfield isn’t really practical at 3 hours. Swansea fans say they couldn’t connect at all with him since he used to commute everyday, he didn’t really get the community or the club. They also said his football was shite. He also apparently used to moan about his commute to Barnsley a lot!
Ideally our manager needs to see everything going on at the club, we need a huge rebuild. You can’t rebuild with someone who’s mostly on the train or motorway everyday.

And the football was as much about Swansea and their brand, rather than what he was attempting to bring. It was never the right match. |

Not sure we're that bothered if we're scoring goals and winning games. |
