Sacked by Norwich already. Bit harsh. Slightly disappointed with the timing as I'd have him back here any day but after hearing Duff yesterday feeling very positive!

Time for us to stop living in the past. He was revolutionary. Football has caught up and he’s now just another manager/head coach.

He will always be remembered here, but we need to move on (the Premier League legacy -such as it was- has hung over the club too long).
I hope he is successful somewhere but the time for his return isn't now and probably won't be in the future either.

He'll defo be back here one day. Clubs just cant help themselves but go back.
And it almost certainly won't work out when he does come back - so probably a good thing that Duff was in place so early.

A manager/head coach that will never ever replicate what he did at Huddersfield Town. Other managers have performed well here too, such as Mick Buxton, Neil Warnock and Peter Jackson, but I wouldn't want them back in charge. Time we moved on and stopped obsessing over former players and managers.

Norwich played exactly the same as we'd did all season 🤣

It was strange watching Wagner & Chicho walk up to Falke smiling at the end of last night’s game. Wonder what will happen to Chicho as I think he is assistant to Wagner now. If MD hasn’t got an assistant yet I wonder if he would come back?

Since the international break L33DS have been one of the whipping boys & DW failed to capitalise on that in the 1st leg, last night his keeper decided to have a stinker for the 1st two goals & then it was game over for both team & manager........Maybe he will team up with JK back in the fatherland with some lucrative jobs on offer in the coming weeks & possibly a bit of punditry work during the Euros?

They were awful yesterday but overall it’s been a good season for Norwich. I didn’t have them to be in the play-offs come the end of the season. He was always fighting against the tide there though.
Would love him back at Town one day..

What do Norwich expect exactly..that they have a divine right to get promoted? Id have thought getting into top 6 was about as much as they could hope for, so sacking the manager after hes achieved that seems harsh to the point of being a bit odd.
Have to say Leeds were fantastic at times last night. Helped by Gunn having a stinker and Ronald McDonald missing a glorious chance to get them back in it at 2-0.

Unless they got promoted, they were always changing managers. They have a new ownership and director of football who wants to do his own thing. They were giving Wagner the season, seeing how it went, then making a change as soon as they could. They didn’t want to rock the boat while it went well. Not an obvious sacking from the outside, but when you look a little deeper it’s actually a rational decision.

I don't know, how many times has it failed??? Everyone getting very excited about not bringing back faces from the past whilst completely failing to recognise that it often turns out well, sometimes very well! I can think of loads of examples. How many times has it failed at town I wonder? I can't actually think of many. Mally Brown want as good, Ward often injured, Rhodes not been spectacular for various reasons but none to do with him being here before. Point is you have to be objective. No point ruling it out for the sake of it! I'm not advocating bringing back any ex players or coaches btw but if a good one was available... Why not???

I love Wagner. He needs to find new ways of playing to become successful again, he had a very good squad at Norwich and they shouldn't be getting tonked 4-0 in a play off semi final against anyone.
Give him a group of players that fit the Wagner way and he'll get you to the play offs but these days you need multiple ways of playing to get out of this league.
Good luck to him though I'll always want him to do well.

Why not???Because the one you've mentioned has failed in his last three jobs. The only reason he ever gets mentioned about coming back is because he managed here before. If David Wagner had managed Watford to promotion in 2017, and then failed at Schalke, Young Boys and Norwich, then not one person would be calling for him to become our manager. It's simply sentiment. Grateful for everything he did, he's the best manager in my lifetime and probably always will be, but it's time we moved on as he's no longer the brilliant manager he was when he was at Huddersfield Town.

I can't forget even after what he did for us, he walked away from the club. I can understand this despite him rightly being considered a legend. He and the club really played up on the 'no limits', 'terrier spirit' and 'never give up' mentality - yet he literally gave up the very first time that things got tough. and once he had given up and walked away - thats when the magic had really gone and that drudge to end of the season with no belief was a very miserable time.
