The Town Square App may produce notifications for some people but I’ve never received one notification. ( IOS) I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling on many occasions. So, this is an issue that requires attention imo. Making the app more intuitive would also enable the retail and marketing departments to reach out to the fan base easier and more effectively. I think you are putting a square app in a round hole.

HTTV but I guess linked to a new app or updated website. Live academy games, interviews, past matches, highlights, analysis. That type of thing. Which is also played in the stadium pre and post match. Plus any supporters bars that are being planned. And fan zones Httv on a new Town Square app that actually works would be good. It never plays the videos, so it just serves as a notification to go and find it on YouTube. But content wise, more about the behind the scenes woukd be good. How many people actually work at HTAFC? What do they all do. (Epecially in the closed season.) What is canalside like and what is going on there ? Etc. Etc

Lots of good suggestions about the club releasing historical DVD’s etc, and I hope it happens.
I have a question - would the club have recorded games, entirely for their own use, from the 1960’s? I expect the answer to be “no”, but no harm in asking! I would love to see my earlier games once again.

A complete ban on the use of the word “Terriers” in any club communications. It is deeply unpopular among large sections of the fanbase. We’re “Town” and “Town fans”, nothing else.

Hello all! Glad to see you’re seeing just some of the changes off pitch being made over at HQ. Going to be a lot of really cool things on the horizon. I wanted to create this thread specifically for content- website, app, socials, etc. As the offseason gets into full gear, I’d love some suggestions as to what you see/look for as far as club content goes. I know there are many ideas under the “Club Communication” thread I’ve been spying on, but thought I’d crystallize it a bit here. Any input is as always appreciated. UTT I'm probably in the minority but I'd just like a break from it all to be honest Dave. The last thing I want to see during the "off season" is continuous posts and news/stories, much of what is often forced just for the sake of getting 'content' out there. Maybe that's just the way of the world nowadays but I'm ready for a breather. Forget about football for a couple of months and come back refreshed for the new season. By all means get on quietly with business behind the scenes but sometimes less is better. Disagree but I won't dislike the post like some have, it's just your opinion. I personally like being drip-fed more information, makes the close season go quicker for some reason, plus stops complete withdrawal and gives me something other than FM for a Town fix

Town did put out a few of the old style season reviews/VHS videos' during covid however they seemed to miss off the best ones. The Final whistle is surely the most important one as it documents Towns first 86 years in good detail. Maybe it was due to who owns the rights? Simon Normington produced the best ones, far beyond anything that we've done since. The Final Whistle is available on DVD. I've got that, plus about a dozen other season review DVDs. IIRC The DVD version of Final Whistle has Final Whistle II with it too, but it's been a while since I watched it so may be misremembering. Can probably only buy second hand now though.

Beat me to it Sio, was born in 73, started taking notice of footy about 78-79 so Terriers has always been our nickname during my tenure as a fan. I still call us The Town though, I just know Terriers is our nickname and it's ingrained, despite rarely using it to describe ourselves. People say it was only introduced in 69-70 so is irrelevant. That's fecking 50+ years ago now, not exactly new

UTT I'd like to see some of what players/coaches/office staff etc do away from work. 'A day in the life of (persons name)' Obviously this would be down to the players and most probably want to keep home life private. Those that would though it would be fantastic. I love the Welcome to Wrexham stuff particularly the family stuff. Housewives of Huddersfield.

Mentioned this before but can we PLEASE go back to having summaries of what the manager and player have said in the pre and post match press conferences?
I don’t always want to sit through the full thing, especially when we had managers like Darren Moore spouting drivel. It would just be more accessible to have summaries for those that don’t have time.
Like I’ve highlighted before, the income from trying to funnel people to YouTube will be minimal.

That's fecking 50+ years ago now, not exactly new I bet if you go down the leagues, only around half of all the teams will refer to themselves primarily as their nickname anyway. Man Utd are United, not Red Devils etc. We're just another where we prioritise the shortened team but the Terriers is a nice feature alongside it.

Theoretically, this is where the local press should be coming in though, imo. I know BBCWYS post snippets of the presser, as does Leon W and Chicken usually posts a little more than elsewhere. I don’t see many other clubs doing full summaries of pressers on their socials. Perhaps worth exploring a website article though - at least then you could potentially monetise from side banners etc linking to club shop/ticketing?

The summer without football is relatively boring, I’m a Town junkie, it’s in my DNA, for better or for worse.

My memories of it are more Reece Dinsdale marking out lines on the pitch and then us all watching that paint dry, but fleeting homoerotica may have livened it up a bit. It sticks in my head because I watched it with my mum when I was about 11 and I remember her saying "Who's that long haired guy scratching his balls"!! Lol Was your Mum not focused on his big….. ears?

I don't neccessarily want full summaries, even just one reasonable sizes paragraph with maybe additional key points would suit me fine.
