Why did it take us to drop down to league one to sign decent looking players 🤣

Two attacking midfielders and one anchoring is better than the other way round, especially without out and out wingers. We need to set-up to dominate league 1 games, two attacking midfielders (Kane, Evans) is a massive boost to the squad. Who do we need to play the anchor though? Hogg, Kasumu, new signing?

Strange time to announce it and on his teaser interview clip, it’s dark at the ground.
Think the Birmingham/May fiasco has ruffled a few feathers. Haven’t taken a chance this time and got it signed and completed asap

Both the Herbie and Evans transfers seem to go through quickly since the May fiasco. I dare say you're both right

He scores some quality goals. Great to have a proper threat from direct free kicks as we haven't really had one for a while.
Looks like a top 6 squad easily as it stands but some of our better players may yet leave.
I'd like a really quick striker to give us a different option to those we already have.

Sounds like location may have helped us with this one
I used to sit alongside his family in the stand during the promotion year and his grandad was at most games and he travelled down from Liverpool. In The pic of ”Tony” staring up into the stand after the Scunthorpe match - he was looking directly at his grandad - and they hugged as soon as he got in the pitch - they were very close . If we had not gone up that season then he would have gone then but the Scunthorpe game changed that and he brought into the camaraderie within the team. He expected to be sold last summer but it didn’t happen and I didn’t see his family at all this last season.. It was never going to be Portsmouth despite the paper talk and with Huddersfield less than an hours drive from his folks - this was the ideal move for him. Sometimes we have to accept that it’s not just about football or ambition no matter what we read in the press

We could certainly do with a bit of genuine pace, but I'm also thinking to cap off a good transfer window, a big striker..like £2m-£3m range... maybe being a bit greedy but if we were after May then we're still in the market?

Can imagine any more incoming linked to who goes out……wonder who else will be on the way out?… Considering we sold Rudoni for a reported £5 million and have brought in two free transfers and 2 players at a combined total of less than £1 million we won't be in any rush to sell our main assets. If we could move on some of those fringe players who won't be anywhere near then that would be great.

Have received 9 messages from Gashead mates and every single one is positive about this lad. General theme is "You've got a gem in this player, all round good midfielder who scores and brings others into the game" The Gas message board is also full of positive comments which bodes well. The only gripe is the reported fee of £450k but with the lad out of contract next season,Rovers between a rock and a hard place. Take a fee now or nothing later. Can't help thinking about signing a good player like this and selling Rudoni for more than 10 times this lads fee. Think we have had someones pants down. Rarely do we see Town do this sort of business.

Currently have a better team than the one that finished last season. Of course there will also be outgoings. So time will tell. If we can just grab a decent striker I’d be really happy with the business we have done.

There's something I like about his interview but can't quite put my finger on it? He seems a sensible, intelligent lad who genuinely wants to be here to improve both his own & the club's status & he didn't just give stock answers.
Really good feeling about this lad.

I think it's his confidence, but more importantly his conviction when he speaks about getting back out the division. You can inherently see that the signings we're making are winners, fighters, those are challenging themselves to want to be better and a big desire to win. The vision of promotion straight away and beyond is becoming clear as a consistent message across the board.
