Does anyone remember the Yorkshire and Humberside pre season cup that we used to play in?. I seem to remember watching it in the late 80s. I think they had a group stage and then a knockout part (can't remember the exact format or how many teams entered). I'm sure I remember us playing Leeds in 1 of them that I attended. They should bring it back. At least it's something to play for against some local rivals. It might have been the Shipp Cup that you are thinking of (careful how you say it) It was definitely called the Yorkshire and Humberside cup. (I've just googled it to check)https://images.45spaces.com/f/asa/huddersfield-town-261-asa.jpg

Didnt we play Liverpool before Wagners promotion season? Seem to remember losing to them at ours. This over-interest perhaps in pre-season friendlies has come along with the internet age I guess. Now everythings analysed within an inch of its life and becomes so much more important than it used to be. Back in the days of Buxton, right up to the turn of the century I dont remember pre-season friendlies being anything to be bothered about at all. Just getting fitness levels up and working on a few tactical things. Did anyone even go to them? Actually I can remember nagging my dad to take me to one back in the early 80s against Barnsley at Leeds road. I doubt there was more than 300 people in there though. Has anyone managed to buy a match pass for these games yet or is it just my computer that says "No"? I went on yesterday to try and buy a stream of some sort, and turns out it's restricted to just the UK (and USA bizarrely). Won't allow me in Ireland to watch the games Same here in NZ Hope they get something sorted for when the 'real' football starts

We will advise match by match how our fans can watch the games for both domestic and international viewing,..."

The West Riding Cup was later revived for 1 season, I think, pre-season 1991/92 where we also played Leeds, again winning 1 nowt.

I remember going to a Yorkshire Electric Cup game (against Sadford iirc) back in the mid 90s. Edit: htafcokay & holmfirth beat me to it.

Still injured. No change there then What a crap signing that lad has been. Along with Balker. They can't have more than 10 starts between them since we signed them in January. Who else did we sign in our "best transfer window ever"?

Who else did we sign in our "best transfer window ever"? An injured Healey and a young lad who couldn't stay upright if running further than 10 yards

Düsseldorf is 400 miles from Frankfurt, and we have a connection to Munich. I say land the plane on the actual protesters, they’ll move, mbut then again I’m kinda tired
