We've all been complaining about our strikers (or lack of) for several seasons now and although we signed a couple in the January transfer window it's still uncertain if they are going to be a success. How happy is everyone with our current options and how many or which players should we be thinking of signing?

So they're looking, but wouldn't tell us who at!

Not happy in the slightest. Only one who is any good is Healey, and he's struggled with injuries. The rest aren't good enough and don't score enough goals. Ward, in particular, has a dreadful goal return.

It's been an obvious problem for years now and everyone can see it.

Careful, you're not allowed to agree with me. Ok. I'll disagree about Danny Ward since I quite liked him in his first spell at Town when we weren't relying on him to actually score goals for us as his main job!! But sadly I'll have to agree with you as far as his second spell is concerned now that he is employed as one of our main goal scorers and is rarely on the pitch.

Agree with everyone who feels we are still weak up front. This is a problem that has not been rectified for years and it drives me mad. Healey would seem to be the best of what we have but is injury prone. How many games before he’s out for 2 months? We should all know by now that we can’t rely on Ward. We all saw how Bojan struggled physically. I think I’m going mad because year after year, it’s only us lot who seem to understand what’s required and it just never gets sorted satisfactorily. We STILL have no physical presence up front and we STILL have no reliable goal scorer in our squad.

He scored 19 goals in 124 games between 2011-2015 in his first spell with us when he spent the majority of it playing on the wing if I remember correctly.

Just looking up his careers statistics, he's scored 81 goals since his senior career started in 2009. Not a lot more needs to be said, although Neil Warnock and his son must have, ahem, thought he was worth a great deal of money.

I can just imagine imagine the conversation Warnock had with him- "Step in my office son. Right you're coming to the end of your career now and the only way is down from here but I'm gonna do us both a favour and offer you another 2 year contract on £15k a week. That means 9k for you and 6k a week for me,same thing as before, you know, under the table, hush hush,a nod and a wink, say no more"!!! 😂😂. Are you with me!!!

Ideal for me, would be the player we hoped we were getting when we signed Tyreece Simpson.
I'm expecting a lot of sides to sit deep, low block and niggle at our attacking players. Someone who has the strength to just hold the opposition defenders off and rag them about a bit would pay dividends IMO. Who that should be, I'm not sure.

Really the strikeforce is pathetically weak.
Healey fine if not injured Radulovic, who honestly knows at this level Ward wasn't good enough at Championship level when he rejoined and isn't good enough for L1 in my view, he won't get us 15-20 goals a season at any level Hudlin a waste of a wage Simpson seemingly going but was never good enough Koroma isn't really an out and out striker, more of a winger who can play up front if needed Harratt has off field issues and he's not ready to lead the line Phillips out on loan but I'd likely say the same as Harratt ie not ready to lead the line
Basically in reality our so called strikeforce was an embarassment in the Championship, and it's not much better in L1. It certainly won't scare any defences

He scored 3 times in 40 games for Northampton and zero for us in 4 games. To be totally blunt that is a pretty shit return!! But like you said, he knows the club and probably where KFC, McDonald's and Nandos is!

That’s fair enough and understandable. But I hope the people at the top understand that we simply cannot afford not to find an alternative.

I'm looking around & I can't see any established players that we'd realistically get without offering silly money at this level.
Loan of a premier league youth player? Not sure if this chap is available, but someone like him could prove ideal:

To be fair the striker business is a bit of a shit show. Looks like we threw all of our eggs in the May basket only to be trumped by a divisional rival yet 3 weeks later we don't seem to anywhere near signing anyone of the same calibre. If they bring in a 20 year old unproven loan to masquerade as the May replacement then in my opinion it's a complete failure.
Birmingham are winners, go out find who they want and get it done whereas we have this namby pamby attitude of not wanting to upset other players if we pay bigger wages.
Newsflash. If you had performed and proven your worth then you would be on the same wages!
