If we can sign another Craig Maskell then our team is complete; (although a Marsden and an O'Regan would be nice too!)

He played for Town before I was born. Hudlin is like prime Van Basten compared to Whittington. I don't believe you 😂

shame really one time we look like we are going to get a striker that actually scores it falls through🤦♂️ Duff said it was a huge offer that Brum gave him and he didn't blame him for taking it at his stage of his career. fair enough think most would’ve done the same

He only left us in 1995 didn't he? Right? I imagined you being older for some reason. In fact come to think of it I picture everyone I reply to on here as being in their 40s or 50s for some reason!. Lol

It would be wonderful if Pat Jones could put his infernal hamstring issues behind him and become the fearsome goalscorer that his occasional cameos have hinted at.
Well, I can dream can't I?

This is Division 3. My rough guess is any striker, with the same number of games, should score double in Division 3 compared to the Championship.

This is one of the reasons I’m left scratching my head when I read all the talk of us challenging at the top this season. We’re not going to be anywhere near the top unless we can buy a player that can score goals. Same old story with Town…trying to be thrifty. Good players command high wages. If we don’t want to (or can’t ) pay them, we’ve got to be more realistic.

Spent a million on a right back and centre mid, would’ve spent another £750k on May but Brum threw silly money at him. Strikers cost the most and are the toughest to get over the line because they’re so precious. We need a couple of good strikers able to start and bag 15 plus, irritating that we’ve not signed them yet but it’s not that easy and there’s time to go. Was always going to take time to put all the pieces together, 3 weeks isn’t realistic.

We create chances but don’t convert them. We have now signed another 4 players who can create chances but nobody to convert them. Confused. Com

At this stage we may as well take a gamble on Devante Cole.
It wouldn't be an exciting signing but he was 3rd highest scorer in this division last season (after May and the lad at Portsmouth) so looks a better option as 2nd striker to Healey than anyone else we currently have.

It's time Cartwright got his finger out Healey will get 20 plus goals if he stays fit but Ward and Harrett won't contribute,we need another two strikers as been said on here everyone knows we need strikers except maybe Cartwright. Also need a CB and another couple of players on top. If Cartwright doesn't get us fit strikers in who can score goals he,s in last chance saloon for me

Should offer Kemar Roofe pay if you play contract

I'm mystified by this writing off of Harrett myself and Radulovic for that matter.

Not happy in the slightest. Only one who is any good is Healey, and he's struggled with injuries. The rest aren't good enough and don't score enough goals. Ward, in particular, has a dreadful goal return. Healey had one injury not several. I agree with you on Ward though he is awful and paid way too much. I think he only played 13 games last season.

It's definitely not great. He scored 19 goals in 124 games between 2011-2015 in his first spell with us when he spent the majority of it playing on the wing if I remember correctly. Just looking up his careers statistics, he's scored 81 goals since his senior career started in 2009. Not a lot more needs to be said, although Neil Warnock and his son must have, ahem, thought he was worth a great deal of money. You’re not allowed to point out the ridiculous contract decision, it’s classed as Warnock bashing

You're not optimistic about Kyle Hudlin? I think he's the worst player we've ever had. Though I'm sure someone will want to argue with me that he isn't. Tom Denton

How do you know he was worse,he didn't ever play for us IIRC? Got busted for drugs and shipped off somewhere didnt he? Edit..looked it up,played once! Yeah fair enough,he must've been bad!

I know, but he would be the worse we ever had!! Daniel Carr another. Hudlin has played 10 Championship matches for us. That is incredible. Most of the candidates for "worst ever" only played the odd game.
