I wouldn't say it to his face. Every time I see him he puts me in a headlock... Used to se him walking on Penistone Road going home presumably. Mate of yours?

1976 Bob Newton, Bobby Campbell and Wayne Goldthorpe, would scare any team to death.

He's shite, but he's no Gordon Tucker 😀 Gordon Tucker was prime time Beckenbauer compared to Andy Duggan Didn't Gordon Tucker get arrested for selling drugs after he left Town? I'm sure I remember it unless I'm getting him mixed up with someone else. On an embarrassing note - He was my favourite player when I was 10 or 11 years old. My mum took me to my first match and gave me some money to spend in the old club shop on Leeds Road and I chose to buy a match day programme and a signed player photo and randomly picked Gordon Tucker since I knew absolutely nothing about the team or the players at the time! Looking back it seems like it was the worst possible choice I could have made!! Lol

Koroma isn’t a striker and if he’s in the starting 11 as a striker in the first game of the season it will be disappointing. If we don't get a striker in I'd still rather Koroma than Danny Ward. I think the other Danny Ward we had might score more goals for us or at least be fit enough to actually play!

Georgious Donis anyone? or a loan player by the name of michael williams How about Mike Cecere? 8 goals in 54 games in the old 3rd division. I still don't know how you pronounce his name since I heard it pronounced several ways. - Che-cha-ri, sess-ari, sess-eary, che-cheery, see-sari. We just stuck with calling him 'Donkey sess'!! 😂😂

Some of the chants that day were hilarious

Chris Hurst when it was his brother that was the better player Your use of the word, "better" suggests that although not fit to lace his younger brother's boots, Chris Hurst was still a player. I refuse to believe he even got a game at non-league level. Still better than Michael Williams though. Hahaha yeah Chris was as good a “player” as I was 😂

Apart from couldnt tackle (legitimitely), couldnt pass, slow and ponderous in reading the game he was half decent. His own goal at chester(?) was jaw dropppingly bad.

This is one of the reasons I’m left scratching my head when I read all the talk of us challenging at the top this season. We’re not going to be anywhere near the top unless we can buy a player that can score goals. Same old story with Town…trying to be thrifty. Good players command high wages. If we don’t want to (or can’t ) pay them, we’ve got to be more realistic. Are we trying to be thrifty? Spent a million on a right back and centre mid, would’ve spent another £750k on May but Brum threw silly money at him. Strikers cost the most and are the toughest to get over the line because they’re so precious. We need a couple of good strikers able to start and bag 15 plus, irritating that we’ve not signed them yet but it’s not that easy and there’s time to go. Was always going to take time to put all the pieces together, 3 weeks isn’t realistic. Exactly, the May episode was clearly naff all like the incidents in prior years. There's no way we were 'thrifty' or we wouldn't have been on the verge of getting a rival's player, who are realistically a similar sized club, and like you say, Brum then came in with silly money. Were we thrifty when Yorkshire folk were in charge........absolutely 😂

He'll always be my favourite player, simply because I had a signed photo of him (even though I never actually saw him play) and was the only Town player I could name at the time other than Peter Withe and Simon Trevitt and that was only because of a few insults I heard from the terrace about being as quick as a slug and something about a potted plant!! 🤣

You're not optimistic about Kyle Hudlin? I think he's the worst player we've ever had. Though I'm sure someone will want to argue with me that he isn't. Not sure he is the worst, but he must be up there as someone who was totally out of their depth, perhaps by about 3 leagues. The fact that he appeared 10 times last season illustrates the shambles of last season.

How about this for a side? Joel Pereira Kwame Hodouto Gordon Tucker Mark Jackson Kevin Sharpe Simon Davies Chris Hurst Michael Williams Des Hamilton Michael Midwood Craig Whittington Would have given some of the teams we fielded last season a good game I reckon. 🤣

We'd have an xG of 0 but still win 3-0 because they had Joel Pereira in goals.

I googled it just to check, but since he was playing alongside Craig Maskell and he was banging them in it's not surprising he only scored a few I guess.
