One more goal and we will go top of the league Already are as it stands. As we’re away, the away goals scored comes into play before alphabetical.

Great to be 2-0 up but most alarming for me is how superior they look technically. Their touch, movement and passing put us to shame in the first 35 minutes and fortunately they didn't take their chances

When ever it happens turn off your box and TV. To kill the connection. Then turn on and reload, and you'll be straight in. It's usually down to servers going down. The alerts take about 30s to auto reboot the server. About ten or eleven years ago I put in some monitoring software for the streaming side of Sky.

Last season we wouldn't have scored either of those, but we've gained the ability to hit it first time instead of faffing about until the opportunity goes. Not even played that well but to be 2-0 up with that performance bodes very well. Let's see if we've gained the ability to defend a lead as well. I think it’s been drilled into them that they can in fact shoot either first time or after one touch instead of fannying about

Two very kind deflections. Perhaps we've gained some luck over the summer It’s called shooting. As the great Wayne Gretzky said “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take!”.

But scrappy and a few loose touches (as you’d expect in game 1) but I think our intent is positive and pleased to see us get players forward and shooting on sight.
Good start for Duff

Cracking first half.
He have been caught out a few times on the long ball over the top as their attackers have pace. Also, their shots have more or less all been at nichols, a better side would have scored at least one.
However we look good and should improve as the season goes on.
Please don't fuck it up.

Not perfect by any stretch but shots on target, plenty of attacking intent and a game of football that is enjoyable to watch.

Hoggy has been poor but the quality is clearly lower so far in this division. They get the next goal and it’s a different game. For now though, get in you Terriers!! 😎 How’d you mean? I’ve been somewhat impressed by Posh, diag balls for days, smart counter attacks, they could easily have a goal or two themselves. Have also pressed us well

2-0 up and still we are still being urged forward.
What manner of voodoo is this?
What is the idea of having our players in their half. Odd. Very odd.

Have also pressed us well my point of view is the finishing, their misses would’ve been gobbled up by even average championship strikers. Then you’ve got their defence who look even less comfortable on the ball than pearson

League One is awful. Town haven’t been good but somehow we’re 2-0 up. Hopefully the rest of the league is as bad as Peterborough.

Quite nice playing a mixed style of football. We aren’t just playing down the right aka Sorba every time like last season. Less predictable and has got more players involved

First half observation.
2-0 up and before we scored both, I'd have said we'd be lucky to not go in 2/3-0 down. I still think 2--0 up and for most part it's been against the run of the play in the first half.
First 35 mins we seemed tense and too tight (almost like a relegation nervous battle fight tense and tight), over running our close downs, indecisive on some tackles leaving ourselves second guessing going for the ball/standing off, heavy touches, not assured touches, rushed and sloppy passes, and not settling on the ball in the midfield.
3-5-2 will leave us exposed for diagonals as we seen in pre season, when wing backs are pushed up. (I do like the higher press from us though). But, without pace and balance at the back, we will get exposed. Anchor midfielder (Hogg in this case), needs to sweep across and fill in there also.
Spencer isnt a LCB, I think he could work as a RCB at a push where he can be more comfortable on the ball, but also the pace to cover Lorenson. Injury to Balker has upset our plans on the balance. Lack of pace in the back 3 will leave us exposed. We need a pacey centre half, preferably comfortable on both feet, while Balker gets himself back.
Our midfield only works, when we get it down and play it, and spread it wide quickly. Wiles, Evans (not seen him yet Kane), are all good technicians of the football, as both Evans and Wiles both showed with goals. When they have the ball at their feet on the ground, they look good and fluid when they settled.
Koroma will cause problems this season, I like him as an option up top in a two. He's not an out and out striker but, he's good on the counter, and also when he cuts inside. Looks lively.

Town 2-0 up and Brum 1-0 down. About as good a first half as I could have asked for. More of the same town second half.

Performance wasn’t great, but you can’t argue with the score line. Take points over performance every day of the week if we hold on for the win.
I thought as you went down the leagues you had more leniency from the referees. This bloke is giving free kicks for breathing on a Peterborough player.
Also I have to say the new sky plus is decent apart from a bit of freezing. I was thinking it would be like the red button stuff from last year but full replays, different angles and commentary.

Don't start trolling it makes you look a dick True though. Commenting during the match with attention seeking quips means there's a likelihood individuals will highlight them in hindsight. Moaning after the first 20mins of the season deserves even more trolling to be fair.
