Comment on the posh forum 😂😂😂 “Huddersfield looked bland as fuck and on that showing should be looking over their shoulder at relegation, a very poor side who struggled to bother a back line who'd never played together. If this had come 5 or 6 competitive games later I think we'd have won at a canter” Work to be done before he becomes a believer. 17 shots, 5 on target for an away team suggests that no amount of work will make that fan look at a game objectively.

Most relaxed I've been watching Town for a long time after first twenty minutes thought we controlled the game, actually having shots on target scoring goals and not sitting back, first 15-20 minutes second half they hardly got a touch. Signings all looked good thought Koroma,Healey had good games. Hope we can get in striker and CB and that Wolves lad on loan think then we have squad to get promotion

Hats off to all those who travelled. It wasn’t lost on Duff or the players and the whole day was like a fresh start. Onwards and upwards. United - club, players. Management, fans. My son says it was the best atmosphere for years

Went on my own for this one but just wanted to say before during and after the match it felt different. Town fans talkative accommodating as usual but there was a buzz about the talk that’s been missing since wagner. I didn’t even feel that during 21/22 campaign. Sorry for mauling the guy stood behind to me for both goals. If you read this forum I’m the one you told off for saying typical town to concede twice now!

Peterborough play suicide football at the back. Crazy. Reasonably comfortable win for Town. Kept a good shape and played some good stuff at times. That really puzzled me. Once you know it’s not working and you’re prone to a mistake, just change tack. I’d be furious if that were Town and we continued the one dimensional approach at the back. Their approach meant the ball was mainly in their half and made life comfortable for Town

Thankfully we've binned the faffing around across the back four...mostly...we had a spell where Lees was giving me the jitters midway thru' the 1st half...but it only lasted 5 mins..

I think that will come. Only the first game of the season. Hope so but it's the same issue I've seen for so long with Town. Real lack of composure and making the right decision when numbers are in our favour. It's only likely to change when the quality of player improves. That West Ham lad from the clips at youth level (yes I know) looks a clever and cool type of striker Agreed....fingers crossed he can adapt to the mens game (as he puts it) quickly.

And how good to see Birmingham held to a draw. Their players shorts must’ve have been weighing them down carrying their wallets with the big pay packets in. Or maybe it was the pressure of expectation? Apparently May struggled and scored a penalty. Make of that what one will!

Same here. Seat 171 seemed to be a thing of the past in the back rows! Was I the row in front of you?! 🤔👋 Highly likely! Luckily we didn’t need to sit down!

Why would you put a player in the squad who you've only seen video clips of, who is not tested at this level, who is not familiar with our style of play, who hasn't played in any of the friendlies, who probably is not match fit, who is busy moving up here, and who has not met his team mates yet? Just asking! Because he scores goals and goals win matches, plus our 'best' other option from the bench is Danny Ward! Not saying he will be on the bench and with only 7 subs it may be better to wait until Tuesday. However, he's scored against teams at this level in the 'pizza cup'. He knows Spencer and has played international football. He would have scored a goal on his international debut with a fabulous finish if O'Shea's arse hadn't been given offside by VAR 🤣 think it was Shea Charles, Darragh O'Shea plays for the Republic

Just read this on the Peterborough forum
Huddersfield looked bland as fuck and on that showing should be looking over their shoulder at relegation, a very poor side who struggled to bother a back line who'd never played together. If this had come 5 or 6 competitive games later I think we'd have won at a canter.
🤣🤣🤣

This squad was appalingly mismanaged last year and should never have gone down. We’ve kept most of the team/squad together and there is a gulf in quality between championship and league one. Town are going up this season. I’ve already put my money where my mouth is. Totally agree...those players were 3/4 positions better than where we ended up Darren ferguson is no mug (apart from beating women up) and said it was a championship team playing a league one team Exactly that. 2-4 places better than where we finished. Not more than rhat but…. Yes I’ve read that from him. Duff is an expeicned and successful manager at this level and he’s impacting as he should. Very positive start.

First 20 minutes or so we were a bit ropey both on and off the ball but I put that down to settling into a competitive game, nerves and adrenaline etc.The goal settled us massively. It was a solid performance and the off the ball press second half was excellent, they struggled to get out for 15/20 minutes. It then went a bit flat as duff said and they could have maybe come into the game but the subs for us made a difference and put them on the back foot again. Some nice football played at times without doing it constantly. The only reason I can think they would have that opinion is that for all the winning the ball back in good areas and decent stuff at times when we did have it we didn’t actually create loads of proper chances.l,maybe a couple I can think of. But by the same token he’s saying they have won 5 or 6 games in we are nowhere near the finishes article the first game in.We will improve.

Back to the red (!) kit. On the promotion it looked red, then on Saturday live I thought it was more fluorescent pink and now on the highlights on"Unrestricted" it looks orange. This is like that dress where everyone lost it as to whether it was blue or brown
