Very highly rated at West ham. Great record at youth level and full international. West Brom probably a step too far last season but I'm sure we'll give him a chance to prove Carlos wrong.

Very highly rated at West ham. Great record at youth level and full international. West Brom probably a step too far last season but I'm sure we'll give him a chance to prove Carlos wrong. Good luck to the lad. pretty sure i saw somewhere that he only got 55 minutes last season at west brom before being recalled. hopefully carlos is proven wrong like you said |

Edit: D'oh htafcdan beat me to it I meant going to a playoff chasing championship club was probably a step too far at that stage of his development. He'd have been better joining someone like us or a league 1 team last season where he'd have likely got far more minutes. |

No professional goals, but Steven Chicken’s article is interesting:
A left-footed centre-forward who can play centrally or out wide, Marshall has a prolific goalscoring record at youth level: he scored 18 goals in 14 appearances in Premier League 2.
More encouraging, perhaps, is Marshall’s record in the EFL trophy against some of the sides Town will be playing in the upcoming campaign. Turning out for West Ham’s under-21s side, Marshall contributed three goals and two assists in four appearances, including a brace against Bristol Rovers.
Being a youngster, footage and stats are harder to come by than for senior players. Even so, from what is out there, Marshall looks to be a quick centre-forward who likes to play off the shoulder of defenders. He has a good touch and a constant awareness of where the bottom corners of the net are.
Quite a few of his goals come from him spotting narrow gaps to squeeze the ball into, or leaving the goalkeeper wrong-footed with his timing or placement.

Let’s be honest, it’s a punt, if we sign Taylor as well, fantastic as it’s great back up with a busy fixture list.
If we don’t sign another striker, it’s very desperate business.

Another option is never a bad thing, however he ends up doing for us. I think between Healey, Koroma, Radulovic, Marshall, and Ward (listed in order of how effective I think they'll be), we have plenty enough squad depth for a 2 man frontline now. Best case scenario he's a revelation, worst case scenario it's one more player that needs to get injured before Harratt and Hudlin have to start.

Players from youth teams are always a gamble, but the 3 goals and 2 assists in 6 EFL Trophy appearances seems promising. Hopefully it'll translate to full time League 1 level. Fingers crossed.

Think your expectations of a “ prolific goal scorer “are unrealistic, firstly finding one and secondly getting his club to sell, apart from May and possibly Taylor there doesn’t appear to be many about, unless you know differently. |
