Shrewsbury fans seem confident. A few highlights: - So my heart hopes for a point as we need one for team confidence and the fans , my head says we will lose 4-0 - We're ****ed. Having seen the highlights of their games so far, I'm not surprised they expect to be bummed in the gob. They look genuinely dreadful. It was a couple of years before Supermac. 84-85 season. Even more overdue! |

I also remember one year in the 80's we played Shrewsbury on a Tuesday night and they let some fireworks off from the open end. After they had finished the display they let the 25 Shrewsbury fans in.
Anyone else remember this or is my mind playing tricks on me?

I can see another frustrating game . I don’t think Town are capable just yet of giving a team a “ good hiding” . We should win 2-0 but cannot afford another second half like last week. UTT I tend to agree with this. Think we’ll win 2 or 3 nil, but I can still see us struggling with finishing. Oh well 🤷♂️ This reads like you are almost disappointed winning 2 or 3 nil 🤣🤯 |

From what I saw last week Shrewsbury really struggle with players running at them.
I reckon we’ll start with Koroma with either Marshall/Healey up front with Ward on the bench for this one.

Town getting a penalty at home? Don't be so ridiculous. Though just you watch, I'm not there as I'm on honeymoon, so we likely will get one, and then we won't see another penalty at home for the rest of the season. Anyway, part of me wants to thrash them, as we rarely thrash teams (when was the last time we won a league game scoring 5 or more goals?), but part of me wants a more tedious 1 goal win so I don't feel so bad about missing out on seeing us thrash someone We beat Charlton 5-0 in Jan 2016, I can't think of any since then. Bloody hell. Yeah probably sounds about right. I know we've had the odd 4 goal win (Sheff Weds last season) but does feel like a lifetime since we scored 5 or more in a league game, so you're probably right with that, especially given we've generally been shite in the last decade apart from a couple of seasons |

Half the threads on this board get hijacked with inane bollocks. A preview of the match on the match thread is surely the only place for it. Didn't see any self-promotion at all involved, just a Town fan sharing his professional work on a relevant topic, something he has done many times before.

Then I am sure nobody would have a problem. Was just going to suggest that. Apologies for asking about affiliate links, but beyond that, in its current form it's just advertising. I'm sure that if, back in the day, Jack Pearson would put together a preview post and stuff it with their latest odds and incentives, it'd be knocked back as disguised promo. But post it here in plain text without the links and I'm sure everyone would value being able to read it (also, my staff wouldn't be able to read it at work as betting sites are blocked, so you'd be doing fans a favour). |
