Because I don’t do Sky, and won’t be there, what is the best streaming service to try? I’d happily pay if there was a decent stream that wasn’t Sky.

Game should be winning. Town have been absolutely rubbish in the cup competitions for years.

Not sure our marketing team are fully behind tonight’s fixture. I’m going, and the only ticket update I could find was a post on the cup thread and working out on the ticket sales thread how many are blue (available) really odd Surely the club want as many fans there as possible tonight? Walsall however use FB for their last game at Tranmere to give sales updates every few days, saying how many going, which in my mind helps the build up! UTT

Walsall played six starters from the previous league fixture against Exeter in round 1 & needed a last kick of the game equaliser to take the tie to penalties, they will definitely see this as a chance to progress to round 3 & could go with the strongest team available......Both sides don't concede many so I wouldn't be expecting a goal-fest, 1-0 either way or 0-0 Town on pens (lets hope we have practised them).

Looking forward to us winning 2-0 with both strikers scoring, defenders occasionally looking shaky but nonetheless keeping a clean sheet. Post game chat to be along the lines of WE NEED A STRIKER and BLOODY RUBBISH SPENCER

Yes, happy days, that Maine Rd win was the high point of the season, great day out apart from getting lost in Moss Side on the way back into the city !

When or who was the last new Town manager to win 5 in a row. No-one. Mick Buxton wasn't new, of course, in 1979-80, but I think that his 5 wins from the start of the season in league and league cup is the best so far. Duff will match this if we win tonight.

How about Mick Buxton in 1979-80? Duff will match that start if we win tonight. Wasn't new Town manager at the time. He'd taken over the previous season.

You're right - I was editing while you were posting this. Buxton holds the record of 5 wins from the start of the season, though. David Steele won the first 5 wartime league games of the season in 1944.

Anyone else really look forward to the cup games to see other players that should arguably in the first team. AKA ward out the team, Hogg out the team.
Kasumu, Iorpenda, Marshall, Headley etc

Tom Johnston won his first four matches in his second spell as manager in 1975-76. Steve Smith won his first two in 1986. Johnston won his first two in his third spell in 1977.

Ad hoc though it was, it feels harsh to not include it in official records.

Sorenson looked to pull up near the end on Saturday He was holding his hamstring after a run towards South dead ball line and took a little while to re-engage. FFS 2 groin injuries and now a hamstring and we're not even a month into the new season? How long before we have to conclude there's an issue somewhere that can perhaps be improved? I don't even know who's job it is to make sure they team are not continually picking up strains and tears but I dare day it's someone's. Feels like a continuation of last season's injury woes. If nothings changed then is it surprising?

If nothings changed then is it surprising? If you saw the run & challenge he put in you would not be surprised that he might have an over exertion injury. It doesn't mean he has, it might recover, but nothing to do with staff physiological management and everything to do with his commitment.
