Good and bad memories of Walsall. 3-2 win sealed by a left footed strike from Martin Kelly after Aaron and half the coach down got turned away at the turnstiles.
Then a midweek loss with Dwayne Mattis scoring the winner...

Think that game is the closest I've come to leaving early since a certain history-making game. Used to leave 5 minutes before the end of every match because of my uncle driving and "wanting to miss the fkn traffic". Stopped doing that when we missed our golden goal; left at 2-0 down, got home and had to text my uncle that we'd fkn won the game, met with complete "on the wind-up" disbelief until they looked at teletext. Never left early since then.

Never left early since then. There was a break in play just before we left, as someone was down injured in our box and we were defending a corner right in front of us. It all went quiet and my old man had had enough so stood up and told the players exactly what he thought of them. Richard Keogh was marking one of the posts and was staring at him, and he ended it with "and you, you're the worst of the fucking lot of them, you" and a few people started clapping 😂 then we left. It was just after half-time as it was 3-0 when we left. The Ritchie era was horrendous when you think back.

He was holding his hamstring after a run towards South dead ball line and took a little while to re-engage. FFS 2 groin injuries and now a hamstring and we're not even a month into the new season? How long before we have to conclude there's an issue somewhere that can perhaps be improved? I don't even know who's job it is to make sure they team are not continually picking up strains and tears but I dare day it's someone's. Feels like a continuation of last season's injury woes. If nothings changed then is it surprising? If true we probably won't see him again till after Christmas either.

Huddersfield: Glennon, Sinclair, Nathan Clarke, Keogh, Skarz, Collins, Holdsworth (Mirfin 63), Wallwork, Young (Booth 71), Kamara, Beckett (Akins 82). Subs Not Used: Schofield, Smithies

Then a midweek loss with Dwayne Mattis scoring the winner... I remember travelling to their old ground once around Christmas and it was a late postponement. Also a 2 2 draw with Terry Austin scoring for Town. Might have been his debut. I think the last time Town won a game after being 2 0 down was at Walsall years ago.

That would have been 2004-05, Merson scored a cracker if I remember rightly?

Surprised not to see Iorpenda get a start. But otherwise, as expected. Duff has made 6 changes and I’m surprised it’s that many having listened to his ethos.
Healey rested. Ayina evidently going out (on loan I think).
Goes to highlight we’re lacking some depth. Another CM to go with a striker and a CB would be nice.

Some might be minor but it appears to be: Balker Spencer Kane Kasumu Healey Radulovic Assuming Miller is just rested but you'd expect to see him on the bench when we have 9 subs

Looks like he's saying to the midfield 3 of Hogg, Wiles, and Evans, right then....put right what you got wrong on Saturday. Here's your chance.

Good to see Ruffels and Turton given game time. They really do need to take the opportunity though. Suprised Iopenda doesn’t start. It’s probably worth resting Healey to make sure he’s over his knock. Hogg though 🧐. Is he undroppable? Thought Kasumu might have been given a chance. He needs more game time. Should be rotating with Hogg. Still, mustn’t grumble 😁
