Give Harratt a chance and he’ll come good. There's a player in there somewhere...

Some absolute stinking performances tonight. Hogg and Headley (who was fantastic against Morcambe) top that list. Crazy to think that was pretty much our first choice midfield starting. Ruffels, Turton, Ward and Harratt all showing they're not up to it even against league 2 opposition. A critical few days ahead in the transfer market.

That was our first choice midfield from Saturday. Very worrying that they were unable to pass or control the ball.
Even with 11 men were second best and didn’t deserve anything out of tonight.
Shows that we need a left sided centre back, defensive midfielder and striker and hopefully if the club weren’t sure about making those signings it is now obvious to them.
A defeat like that might not be a bad thing in the long run if we react well to it. We have been a bit lucky to win all 3 league games so far (the last two at least) so it gives them a kick up the arse.

Give Harratt a chance and he’ll come good. Didn’t look like a football player tonight.

Has Kasumu gone into his first of 6 injuries?

Experiment gone wrong, Duff should admit that. However without the sending off we probably would have been fine. Back to focus on the league Would we? We were outplayed from the first minute to the last

Cross for Harratt to head home from 2 yards out. Did fuck all for the other 49 minutes he was on the pitch though. As usual.

Think Iorpenda Koroma and Marshall were only one's who played decent today. Ward put a good cross in and ran about.
If their young striker put away all his chances it would of been embarrassing.

Piss poor..
Referee definitely changed the game with the ridiculous red card..
However our response was embarrassing..
Actually think it’s a good thing..
Duff and hopefully nagle can now see we are way short on quality..
Important few days ahead re the transfer window..

Give Harratt a chance and he’ll come good. Get him clearing the rabbits off the training pitches or something. Only thing he’s done successfully at town, unless he actually won some of those bets he put on.

If you were not a town fan, you would be laughing your socks off at the club for the last 2/3 years. Tonighh was just yet another moment. When will the group of players take responsability and actually start putting in something that us as fans can hang our hats on.The just enough mentaility has to go , as tonight proves , yes sometimes you get away with it but most of the time you don't. The lack of leadership on the pitch is quite scary to watch, the amount of persistant poor preformances from certain players is getting stupid now. I know its a cup game and all the blah blah , but this was the chance to show things/ standards had changed etc , but the lack of anything yet again from quite a few of them is just a town thing now it seems. Players that really need to be looked at by Duff after tonights game are Wiles- i don't need to say anything about this lad, whatever we paid it was too much Harrat- should never play for this club again, for many reasons. Ruffels - looked like he had never played football before Headley- to say he is in the "leadership group" was so slack it was unreal

Poor performance again. 5 in a row wasn’t doable, and let’s not kid ourselves that we were playing a second string side. If ever MD needed a game to wake them up, this was it… An opportunity lost really, don’t think there was any player that came out of that with any credit… I don’t disagree with most of what you’re written. But how tonight ‘wasn’t doable’, with that starting 11 (there’s only Turton and Ruffells that haven’t featured in L1), against a team that made a number of changes from Saturday, and having been 2-0 up is a confusing one.

Cross for Harratt to head home from 2 yards out. Then Ward nearly hit the corner flag 5 minutes later. Terrible 'striker' With a half chance yes, happens in Premier League every week.

First time I've seen us in full since the Posh game. Ridiculously sloppy in possession, I can't believe how many times we gave it away. If anything this is a blessing as it proves our severe lack of depth in the squad and the early season results have totally glossed over this. Plus it shows without Healey, we are, despite having several strikers, toothless up front.

Experiment gone wrong, Duff should admit that. However without the sending off we probably would have been fine. Back to focus on the league Yeah I agree but there's alot to take away from tonight's performance. Why did the sending off occurr in the first place? Walsall shouldve led early doors into the game but for a dire miss. Why did we concede so many needless fouls in dangerous areas? Penalty challenge wasnt needed. Walsall missed a few chances tonight, probably should have had more goals. Not a great deal of time to reflect on this match before preparing for Rotherham. Maybe the international break will enable Duff and the players abit of time to take stock and work on weaknesses.

Has Kasumu gone into his first of 6 injuries? What a waste of a wage he is I appreciate how you can watch the 11 idiots that played and somehow blame someone who didn’t.

Next summer can't come quick enough. So many players out of contract who simply aren't good enough It feels like this is said every season! 😖

Give Harratt a chance and he’ll come good. He won't though. He hasn't done anything at lower levels. His build up play and touch isn't nowhere near good enough He can score a poachers goal and that's it. He's not even from Huddersfield like commentary said he's from Pontefract. Maybe let's see if Pontefract Colleries want him on loan

Red card cost us but even with 10 men we should’ve been able to hold on to a 2 goal lead. Only Maxwell, Turton, Koroma and Iorpenda can really come away with credit.

Squad isn’t where it should be at this point. Should make the play offs, but they are far, far too weak when it matters After 45 mins against Stevenage, 90 against Shrewsbury and 90 against fuckin Walsall I’m don’t share your optimism about play offs. I don’t think Mr Duff has had a great match for the last 2 either.

That last 10 seconds of the game summed up the 93 minutes and 50 seconds before it. So poor it is actually hard to believe The Sunday league stuff shown in periods against Stevenage and Shrewsbury, has lasted for almost 90 minutes. It has been coming, the standards have been so low for 2 seasons its clear they have not been raised properly as yet. This clearly we will be a lot better on Saturday or after that isnt clear to me. I was embarrassed by my team again, its happened too often for too long. Too many prepared to steal wages too often. The club needed a full enema, its not had one yet. It doesnt happen overnight tho.....no need for kneejerk stuff but the players need telling that was shite and unacceptable. The saddest thing for me is a few (both young and experienced) had a chance to stake a claim yet again and did little or nothing - headley, harratt, turton, ruffels, pearson.

I really don't know what we do on Saturday now, you might as well toss a coin about whether you pick Turton or Ruffels but it's the midfield I'm really concerned about, all 3 starters were pathetic, no decent tackling, no movement, no combinations ...nothing.

Maybe we needed this, a bit like the performance on Saturday too.
Our squad is not good enough and I think we've fallen into the same complacent position that we did last season (and have done so many before it) in thinking we're smarter and better than we are.
2-3 in should be minimum between now and Friday.

Experiment gone wrong, Duff should admit that. However without the sending off we probably would have been fine. Back to focus on the league Where’s the experiment with that starting 11? Yes we made six changes, and yes Turton and Ruffels were yet to feature in L1, but it was hardly an experiment in shape or selection. All pegs in round holes. All capable. It wasn’t considered an experiment against Morecambe. And how are we not fine at 2-0? The culture in this club has to change if we’re to get promoted. Otherwise it’s perfectly fine for little Huddersfield in League One to punch above our weight. It’s not a disaster that will define our season. And smaller / lower league clubs will beat others in the cup too - that’s the beauty of it. But it’s the manner and the excuses. That’s the reason for the backlash. Duff’s the right man though. He see us right. But by god at some pint we have to stop blaming the managers and take a long look at the squad (not that I’m saying you were explicitly )
