Has anyone ever considered the fact we don’t get pens but concede a lot because we are so slow at the back and so slow up front that we don’t cause defenders any problems and conversely are massively troubled by the movement of opposition players?

Hogg, Evans and wiles come on and we immediately look 10x worse and one gives the opposition a total gift of a pen. If our starting midfield isn’t Hodge, Iorpenda(who has been brilliant tonight) and Kane within 5 games I’ll eat my hat.

We were told by the usual happy clapper lot on here how we had a lot of championship players in the team. Yet your Turton, ruffles etc struggle against a league two outfit. As soon as Kane is fit (half fit would do) he needs to be straight in the team. Not even the first team of a League two outfit. |

You get fewer. You concede more. We have conceded 6 penalties in our last 12 games (0.5 per game). To go back to our sixth penalty award from present day, you have to go back 169 games. In that time, the opposition has been awarded The average side gets a game every 9 games - so 5 penalties per season in the league. We are not far short of four full seasons in for that statistic - an average side at this point has 18-19 penalties. We have a *third* of that, despite one season reaching a play-off final. Just in those play-offs, we should have had four. We got none. Just this week we've seen us concede 3 penalties. First one was a soft one, a push rarely given. Second wasn't a penalty. Third I've yet to see, but opinion appears divided. Yet on Saturday we saw Marshall hauled down in the box by an arm. We conceded an identical penalty against Stevenage. We didn't get it at the weekend, when the opposition got a penalty for a dive, costing us points. For whatever reason, we don't get them. Most of us are incredibly frustrated at the fact we don't seem to get a fair crack of the whip when it comes to decisions. It is a statistical abberation - and it isn't because we shouldn't have had penalties. We don't get them. |

Its more an assault than a penalty... Clearly it will need to be a stabbing and a clear one at that before we get a penalty.. Playing a bit now, when its too late.
