This won't be an easy game at all. It might not matter in terms of what we want to do this season but in the immediate aftermath of two poor performances something much more encouraging would be welcome.
I can see a argument for it being an opportunity for some youngsters but it depends on the character of those players. I hope they go into the game with an attitude of "the team is struggling this is a chance for me to make my mark". If whoever is selected has that approach it might be a catalyst for changing the dynamics of the squad. I just hope people give any kids some leeway when assessing their contribution. T

We have only conceded one goal with eleven men on the pitch & that was a penalty, apparently the players/staff were addressing what went wrong in our two recent defeats, some have different views on how you setup going down to 10 men but with Town in both cases we scored, then it looked like 'shit, what do we do now'?.......With eleven men 0-0 Town on pens, with ten, who knows with a plan?

We really could do with Pawel Abbott senior this season… He got sent off at the Keepmoat in New Year disaster (for Town), think we've lost every game I've been too at new place......Bell Vue on the other hand had some great memories, especially Friday nights.

Been to both, was at the New Years Day calamity. Once went to Belle Vue for an FA Cup tie and it pissed it down all day on the uncovered terrace behind the goal, good job we won 4 nil or was it 4-1? Soaked through to my undies I was.

The blipping got louder against Stevenage then pretty loud in the second half against Shrewsbury. Flatlined at Walsall then became totally, unbearably loud on Saturday.. I know they have to talk down the 'blip' so we have to assume they are dealing with it?? Having less and less to use to deal with it is a long, long standing 'blip'🤔 With Bolton, Reading, Birmingham (away), Barnsley & Northampton (home) between international breaks we have to hope Martin is correct, nine points or more would be a decent return from that set of fixtures...........Mind you Brummies have Wrexham, Peterborough (plus Town at home) & Rotherham & Charlton (away), 14th Sept-5th Oct will show us if the top two L1 favourites have what it takes, blip or no blip. The bookies actual 2nd favourites at start of season were Bolton . Currently us .

Anybody got any suggestions on parking for this game? Not been to this Donny ground before There's a industrial estate to one side of the ground that you can probably park on after 6pm (we were able to park there on a Sunday). On the other side there's a road near the Travelodge that has free parking and you can pay to park in the Premier Inn via Your Parking Space (and possibly other apps) but you can't pay to park on the day there. The Travelodge and Premier Inn were the right side of the ground for us coming up from the south but the other side might work better depending on which junction of the M18 you're using.

Come on Wardy, time to shut these keyboard warrior bed wetters up starting tonight! Danny Danny Ward, Danny Danny Ward🏆 He's still living off his Morecombe goal. Even if he bags tonight he's going to miss the next 3 due to his stupid red card. He's not scored in his last 12 league appearances, which is where he needs to start getting them.

Ward has 27 days to recover so I'm sure we can all expect a trademark lung-busting performance tonight.

Couldn't give less fucks about this tin pot trophy. Hope we get knocked out early. It's null and void due to PL reserve teams taking part. Plus I think if we got to the final we'd struggle to take 10k.

Plus I think if we got to the final we'd struggle to take 10k. Totally disagree. Winning is a habit, and we've been habitual losers for too many years now. The culture has to change. We've lost 2 on the bounce, we don't need to lose a 3rd.

Whilst we don't want anymore injuries tonight but there is a case for putting in a good performance to get Saturday out of the teams system and proving we're not as bad as that performance suggests, we don't have a game after all until Bolton.

Got off train in Donny and stored my baggage at the station. Got a taxi to ground and watched us win, think it was Kindons first goal for us? Also think that this was the game when the Town fans started throwing lumps of the terracing at the police and stewards?

I wouldn’t even want to go to Wembley. Get knocked out asap and just get out of this cesspit of a league.

As much as ive said we don't need this game (given the injuries) the nature of our last 2 performances and arguably the 2 home games, means we need to put in a decent one tonight.
Our midfield needs to click, im hoping Hodge and Iorpenda will make a difference.

A couple of days after the Halifax defeat on Boxing day, it was a very cold day that Town just edged from memory? A few run ins with the SY bobbies over the years, usually the gates were pushed open when they tried to keep us in too long..........I also recall a police dog taking a chunk out of my arse at Doncaster once.
