Started the season really well up until the cup game against Walsall, 3 losses on the trot, then a good win against a poor Bolton, followed by another couple of losses.
1 win in 6, and the gloss of the early season form is gone. Doesn't help fan morale when the likes of Lees is having a swipe at us.
I struggle to think of why we are where we are.
We have recruited fairly well on paper (yes, obviously we wanted a striker in earlier) but it seems the form of those players brought in (and not just them) has dipped. Marshall and Lasse for example looked like class signings but since have gone off the boil. Kane being out injured, we seem to be placing ALOT of faith onto him. We clearly miss Miller, I think he's been the best signing.
Surely Duff should be able to get a tune out of this lot right?
There must be some deep rooted issues within the club. Whether it's Cartwright, or a losing mentality within the playing group - signings aside, our players obviously just had relegation, after a season of just staying up cause of some Warnock magic. We also brought in players from relegated sides or had experienced relegation - Wiles with Rotherham, Lees with Wednesday, Helik with Barsnley. Hogg, another one with 2 relegations on his CV.
I wouldn't be surprised if we turn this around and string some wins together again, but that's more of a representation of the quality of the league more than anything. In saying that, I don't really have the faith that it will happen.
1 win in 6 just is not good enough, we're quite lucky that 2 of those games weren't league games.
Could be worse, we could be Rotherham down at 21st!

Have to win the tackles and control the centre of the pitch. The wide players have a difficult role in this systgem.
Losing in central midfield really is poor.

When we compete in a game and when everyone gives 100% - it’s all I ask for .
I can easily handle us losing when the above occurs.
