The state of us would make any sane manager run a mile. Change of coach is no good. Wholesale changes and then we might attract people who can arrest the slide and turn things around. Can Duff holt the slide in the meantime though? I’ve seen nothing from the way his sets up to imagine him grinding out 1-0s anytime soon No, unfortunately I don’t think he can. It’s stick or twist time again for us. Stay as we are and allow Cartwright another window or flip the coach and the DoF. |

Wagner wouldn't manage in league 1..a bit like Breitenreiter..they both think they are above that
The King on the other hand likes to stick 2 fingers up to everyone and defy the odds

Yeah such a pity we had all those years in the championship and 2 years in the Premier league Well yes. I'm convinced that our visit to the PL would have been more successful if he had stayed with us. Likewise the time afterwards. |

If we sack another manager, do folk really have faith that things will change? How many managers have we had in the last 7 seasons and barring Warnock it’s all been pretty much the same rubbish. The whole club is rotten top to bottom and another manager ain’t going to change that! I fear we’ll get a lot worse, could even end up in league 2 before it gets better. Coming round to that view. How long have Bradford been down there now? When their German owners came in they were going back to the prem. At least that's what Queeny told us. The point is it can take years without a massive investment in players. What have Bradford got to do with it, they over achieved massively and are back where they belong, but we will be joining them soon. |

Six years ago they were 4th division.
Look at who was below us in our 2017 promotion year....and where they are now.

From that list, I'd want Schumacher. He wouldn't take it though. Nor would Wagner. Or Warnock.
We might get Lowe, but the question is then, who replaces Lowe in January? And who replaces his replacement in March? Who takes preseason training next summer? Who replaces the guy who took preseason when we're shit towards the end of September?
Fuck me, we already hire and fire at a rate that would make a Watford fan wince, and we've got Town fans begging for us to be even more chaotic. Because the chaos of the last 2 years has served us really well, hasn't it?
I'm not saying Duff is the man. Going all in on 352 looks increasingly like a mistake and it's concerning that we've been found out so early in the season. But he's had success at this level before, with fewer resources. Barnsley fans told us we'd start poorly before getting better. We had a couple of decent performances before the shit "start", but if we hadn't played well at Peterborough this would have been exactly as the Barnsley fans told us it would be.
Duff was brought in as much as anything else to change the culture and mentality around the place. Why would the players buy into for his replacement when they know he'll be sacked too in a couple of months?

Blackpool under Neil Critchlet were so poor, Steve Bruce has come in and they have become a very good side with the same set of players.
A good manager is everything and I don’t believe duff is it
Personally I’d go get another Spanish manager, they know how to play football and keep the ball on the deck.

Our problems have all come from the top for many years nowWe had a genius in Carlos in the palm of our hands, he currently sits at the top of the championship. We let him go as Hoyle didnt want to put his grubby hand in his pocket and back him. We sacked the most successful manager in the history of the championship because Nagel got his ego hurt when Warnock called him out .. Our problem is continued SHOCKING decisions from those at the top; which are on par with selling stewart - which has put us in this mess. If we backed Carlos we wouldnt be in league one. If we stuck with Warnock it's highly likely we wouldn't be in league one. Doesn't take a genius to figure it out. We are in this mess due to Hoyles penny pinching and now Nagels continued poor decisions and staff around him. This club drew at City, Chelsea and beat united only a few years back and brought in 300m over a 2 year period, selling 80m of talent. Now we lost 6 in 7 and are mid table league 1. Systematic destruction of a team on the up by the decisions at the top. Carlos wasn't backed, Warnock was chopped and the wrong hires ever since. I've seen enough of Duff, not impressed - happy to be proven wrong. Cartwright for me is the first head to roll. Justasmithers, feed that back to the gaffer - a quick google search will back the majority of it up |
