Ridiculous post. We can't keep sacking managers Lose on Tuesday (Likely.. very likely a mauling) Lose at home to Barnsley on Saturday Then do you sack him? Would be 8 defeats in 9 at that point, likely 3 points off the relegation zone

No, unfortunately I don’t think he can. It’s stick or twist time again for us. Stay as we are and allow Cartwright another window or flip the coach and the DoF. Can you imagine giving Cartwright another January window after the last one 🤣 Sorry not, is Kevin that stupid when it comes to running a football club? The ‘best window in years’ according to many Town fans. 2 crocks, a million pound signing from a semi pro Scandinavian League and a young clogger from Chelsea. I wouldn’t trust Cartwright at a raffle.

Personally I'd dump most of this squad at the end of the season. The reset starts then, let's just hope we can steady the ship in the meantime. We're going to struggle to clear out the deadwood when we give 2 year deals to the likes of Ladapo. Before we crucify him, let's bring him up to speed. I use that term "speed" lightly. All the out of contracts can go, I reckon most of them know this so why should they give a shit other than play for pride.

If we lose at home to Barnsley then at the very least he has to be questioned. I don't doubt he will be Big Ern. I would however this time around try to give the manager as much time as possible, even if we finish mid table. The squad still needs a good overhaul, we need to get in a few leaders and strong men.

I reiterate,I never wanted Duff in the first place. But it is pointless sacking the manager when the problem lies above him...Cartwright! I think our great problem is as Mr Nagle is US and not familiar with UK football - exactly who does he get to advise him as to who he should replace Cartwright with ? Edwards seems to be doing an OK job as CEO but that is his remit, not the football side of things. Who came up with Cartwright ? was it Dave Baldwin ? he certainly came as a well-respected guy from his Burnley days ....

I still don't get this obsession with Wagner, I honestly don't, it's mystifying.

I still don't get this obsession with Wagner, I honestly don't, it's mystifying. I dont think its as a manager per se but more the fact he unified the club on and off the field. Right now it looks a bit of a mess and duff despite a good start is splitting opinion after a wretched recent run. The decision making from the top of the club in the last 6 yrs has been dreadful......one after another. Whether its lack of investment, investment in dross or simple communication with the fans too often shrouded in mealy mouthed guff its been absolutely horrendous. The wagner talk is simply fans remembering an infinitely better time when it was enjoyable to support the club - not the miserable boring insipid drivel served up in the last few yrs.

I still don't get this obsession with Wagner, I honestly don't, it's mystifying. I think it's because we remember the first part, the successful part, of his managerial time here. The second part - partly described by Dean Hoyle, partly evident by the football we played and results we suffered - is conveniently forgotten. Quite simply he has failed everywhere else he went, after us

If we lose at home to Barnsley then at the very least he has to be questioned. Agreed but I think we have to stick with Duff now almost whatever. He seemed an excellent candidate when appointed and we can’t simply go on sacking manager after manager. Easy for me to say as I no longer attend games but we do have some very winnable games coming up in October so hopefully the tide can be turned. I have been largely disappointed with his tenure to date though.

When I first saw the poll I burst out laughing, Blimey, Duff has only been here a few months , give the guy a chance, as Willo has suggested there is some winnable fixtures coming up, and hopefully Duff will turn it around , If not sack him!

There are one or two things that really worry me about Duff in the long run, tactically. I just can't justify in my mind sacking another manager though. We're a basket case club and sacking him now would just be crackers.

Out of interest assuming we lose tonight, if we lost on Saturday could that be curtains for Duff already? I don't want him to be sacked as such as its all we ever seem to do, but how many losses is enough to tip the boat?
Really have to think Nagle has Edwards finding a new director of football as we speak too.

Wagner gave me the best times watching Town... he did an absolute remarkable job with players that should have been nowhere near the top of the Championship.
But... he's failed in every position since. Why would anybody want him back?

A winning team always brings a club and fans together. Just as much as a losing club tears it apart. We all expect better but going round sacking manager after manager is nonsense. We need the players to step up. Anyone who was at Peterborough on the opening day knows they can do better. It’s a matter of will they??

Another 2 defeats would be 8 in 9 and likely leave us somewhere near the bottom 3rd in a league we are expected to be at the top end of. However unless you sack the clown that signed Duff and the players then it’s pointless as we will be here again in 6 months.

All the senior players saw it too. He was also very lucky with injuries. Our injury situation in recent seasons has been ridiculous. I think we should be looking at why this is…….

But Duff has an ace up his sleeve mate, he is a Beswick client , which means Cartwright will hold out until its basically untenable mate. I think whatever happenes if Duff goes Cartwright will be going with him.
