Nope, can’t see us getting anything. Both Town & Leeds are on Sky Tues night & already told the other half he can have the telly!

People predicting a hammering by 4-6 may be right, but their fears are not borne out by the facts at present. We struggle to convert chances. But defensively we concede the fewest chances in the division. We’ve been a little unlucky with the way opponents have been clinical. I suspect we’ll be beaten. But it’ll be far tighter than many want to make out. Birmingham have been clinical in games. We have not. That will, I think, be the difference. Or maybe it’s the night we take our chances at last. I’d say we’ve been very lucky. Shrewsbury and Stevenage both had gilt edge chances they should have taken. That's how I remember it. Stevenage, in particular, produced the miss of the century at 1 0. If it has gone in I very much doubt we would have won that one.

We've only conceded more than 2 goals once in the league, twice if you count the Walsall game....so not sure why anyone thinks it will be 4 or 5 or 6 even.

We’ve been lucky not to concede way more, mostly down to a very poor level of finishing at this level. Birmingham imo will be much more clinical. Think we’ll get Fulham’d.

Even if we nick one we can't hold the lead for more than a few minutes, 3 times already this season we've lost from leading positions to add to the too many to count occasions last year. Meanwhile every time we've gone behind we have lost. Same shit, different season /manager/players.

Come on lads help me out a bit here, there is no way we are as bad as our results suggest, I refuse to believe that. Another thing, Birmingham only have 1 league clean sheet as well, that's something we have to exploit.

Fact is, we are not winning or even to draw a game we have some good players but you have to play them players in the right positions and formation and management who wont or don't change need to admit they are wrong.

A few weeks back I was looking at going on the train to this and spending the night in Brum.
Some how going to work and spending the evening with the missus watching married at first sight sounds like a better option now.

It's not too much of a stretch to think Birmingham with their squad could stick 4 past us They did last year (Oct 3rd) & then sacked the bloody manager, bringing in a complete idiot instead (sound familiar)?.......The night DM thought he was a proper manager & tinkered with Neil's team (because Hoggy was out), that went well.

The way we are playing I can only see Birmingham getting 4+ goals and you know May will get three of them.
Hope I’m wrong.

They'll definitely score, probably early and we'll crumble. Like we have done repeatedly for the last God knows how many seasons. How anyone can imagine otherwise is beyond me with the mental frailty of this squad.

First goal is very important in this game. If Birmingham score it, then we're stuffed. If we score it..... in the 98th minute....... we might scrape a point 🤣

Birthday Tuesday, out with friends for tapas, drinks and floodlit crazy golf on a warm Spanish evening. I suspect I will have a good time, but hope against hope that Town fans have a better one. Might sneak a few surreptitious looks on my phone at the match thread. UTT

It's all getting a little depressing yet again, I thought with the relegation to div3 things might at last start to improve (wrong again) . I think Birmingham city will win comfortably 4-1 .

To be fair they’re flying and have a squad value somewhere double ours, so right now away from home, you’d not be surprised to see us come away with nothing. I’d hope and expect for some fight from our lads and to show some improvements in play from the last game, which was a big improvement on the previous games.
Still, this is third division and they’re not Man City - if we get it tactically right we can beat them (but I’m not filled with confidence on that one…..)
What I won’t accept is rolling over and showing no fight, desire or ability.

The start of a tough little run we've got ahead. Birmingham, Barnsley and then Orient away. Not entirely sure i'm confident of getting anything from these games but something has surely got to click at some point.. Right?

Is no one going to have a stab at guessing the line up tomorrow?......Anyone who gets five or more correct wins a free drumstick lolly.

I would put money on brum to beat us 3-0. With a town player getting sent off and them getting a penalty.

I fear the worst ....Brum are full of it , Town are nosediving (again).... We might rally for this game and scrape a narrow defeat, but if Brum get early goals...it could by X-rated for Town fans..

This game couldn't come at a worse time for the club. As Mr Nagle stated he expected a promotion well here is he benchmark against which the team will be judged.
On one hand this is is an opportunity for MD and the players to show what they have about them. However the expectation is for something that will really put where this team is into perspective. There is the potential for a very ugly and sobering outcome which could really define the Nagle era, or at least see many lose faith in the current direction of travel.
I like to hope for the best but I fear I will be watching from behind the sofa. Let's hope that the opportunity is actually grasped and we have fresh hope come 10pm tomorrow.
