Actually going to avoid the game this evening, I haven't done that since the second half of the EPL season!
What a ridiculous position we are in today.
Relegation and American owners was the best thing that happened to Birm in decades.
Us on the other hand..

Anyone actually going? I only live down the road and still can't motivate myself to go. I didn't really want to go but my son is working in Birmingham today and felt he couldn't not go. Hence, I've got to get a train down later on today to meet him. First away trip of the season.

If the club laid on a stretch limo to ferry me door to door and paid for my entrance, I wouldn’t go tonight. I might brave the first half on tv and go from there but I probably won’t argue if the missus wants to watch Bake Off. Things are definitely grim when it’s come to this.

Will be a good test of the coach this.
Unfortunately, with the position we find ourselves in, tonight will call for a cautious approach I feel and an attempt to nick a win.
It's the sort of situation Warnock would revel in and we'd probably see some sort of major tactical tweak.
Has Duff got it in him to counter the opposition and motivate the team enough to get some sort of result?
We'll soon find out but it's a completely different test for him compared to previous games.
I hardly dare watch.

Town worse at home.
Birmingham also not as good at home as they are away.
It seems the hangover of performing at a stadium that's seen many losses over the last year is still felt by both teams, despite Birmingham doing well.
Anti-fortresses I suppose. If anything they appear to be a huge burden. Probably why Duff came out the other week and tried to make a rallying call to make the stadium a fortress.
Could it also be why there's been so much focus on trying to change the appearance and feel of the ground?
Anyway ... Town being town.... 2-1 town.

Sky Bet have it: Home: 3/5 Draw: 3/1 Away:18/5 Though I never bet against Towh; for the neutral 3/5 looks a good price! Any betting man ought to be raiding the Christmas Club money like Arthur Fowler and sticking it on Birmingham, at those odds.

He must have. Sold out stadiums, fans all behind the team even when behind, good attacking football and create loads of chances. Absolutely nothing like us in my opinion.

They had a proper clear out and invested heavily We kept the lads that have been mainly shite for years with a few cheap additions Who thought that wouldn’t work out for us?

Tonight we need to do a U-turn & avoid the huge pot hole..........More likely we'll drive off the edge of the cliff.

Helik has been shit this season but I fear for us tonight with Lees, Pearson, Nigel..
I don’t like Duffs formation at all. It makes it harder for the players.
Playing Hogg in that QB role is a joke. The man cannot pass the football.
Surely he has to play hodge there. Kasumu & Evans in a traditional midfield two and tell them to fucking run.
Is there anyone who can hold it up, up front at all?
Or are we just gonna hope Koroma curls one from range?
The set up of the team is atrocious. It’s as bad as André but Duff has had a full pre season and surely had a say in the new players who’ve come in..
Lose heavily tonight and they should give someone else a go. Can’t do any worse.

Be amazed if we don’t setup Darren Moore ball styly as a 5-4-1 tonight.surely the aim will be to limit them, certainly first half. That 1 up there on their own,Bojan is a decent link man but definitely not a target man.Koroma and Marshall would be be willing runners but the balls have to be into the channels not up to their head.Birmingham play a 4 with 2 holding midfielders so there won’t be much space for either type of striker to be honest although had a little look earlier and the right back does like to bomb on…a lot. It’ll be a frustrating game and we won’t look good but with the current form of the two teams and been away from home who cares if we stink the place out to get a result. Kasumu must play for his running,I agree in general that Hogg should not be quarterbacking,he’d removed him for hodge for the Blackpool game but we then missed what leadership he can bring it seemed so it’s catch 22.Can miller play 60 minutes or would keeping continuity in headley be worthwhile..again who knows right now. Let’s just shithouse the living daylights out of them and revel in the inevitable meltdown should we do so.

Even hearing "Hogg in the quarterback role" in October 2025 is absurd.

Tonight's Referee was involved in another Midlands v Yorkshire game at the weekend with massive Wendies beating WBA at Hillsborough, dishing out nine yellow cards in the process......Ben Toner oversees his fifth Town match all under different managers, CC, Fozza, DM, AB & tonight MD.

Interesting one about the new signings, are there any you'd consider a success as of now?
Lasse started well, diabolical since. Nigel had flashes of being decent, but error prone and a little too keen to lump it.
Evans, not very good. I could go on, but I'm making myself more and more depressed with every sentence. Anyone got a silver lining for me?

I'm actually looking forward to this one tonight. Town being Town it wouldn't be out of the question that we raise our game when seen as the outside chance. I'm going for an end to end thriller and a score draw finish. UTT

Best of luck to the lads tonight. Been to St Andrews a few times whilst living in the Midlands with mixed results. One of the favourites was beating them when Lee Clark had taken over there. On current respected forms and injuries its hard to see beyond a home win but you live in hope. Will be checking the scores later this evening even if I don't post much these days.

Anyone got a silver lining for me? Evans and Miller for me are more than adequate for league 1, as is Marshall, Sorensen has it in him but has lost his way in recent games. the two loanees from Wolves Lonwijk & Hodge are good enough too. I am hoping Kane ups his game as I had high hopes for him. 2 0 town this evening, Chappers clean sheet.

Miller is very good, did miss him out, think Evans has it in him but has been inconsistent. I do hope you're right with the rest of them

So a Bent Owner (Ben Toner) of yellow cards that Town have landed tonight then... Wonder how many we’ll pick up - Quite a few posssibly... Would love to nab a point but cannot in any way see it happening... PREDICTION = Birmingham City 3 v Huddersfield Town 0... ☹️ 😢
