Wait was Pete actually on a windup this entire time? How dare you? If only you were aware of my personal circumstances tonight. I'm still choosing to be positive Are you pissed Pete or just choosing to be a bell whiff? Probably not the best time to try and have a laugh to be honest.

I'm still choosing to be positive Without knowing your personal circumstances it's difficult to empathise, but if you're going through a tough time I offer my genuine sympathy. Are you just choosing to see the positives in everything at the moment? To help keep negativity at bay? Nothing wrong with that if so. I apologise for disliking your posts if that's the case.

15th Heading for familiar territory. Can't beat a good relegation battle. Wonder who they'll blame this time? Another 'bump in the road'.......Highways department?

All, let’s have less of the personal insults towards Shortbread Pete eh? He’s giving his opinion on things, from where I’m sat we are all free to do so, and he hasn’t incited anything.
A lot of you are better than this.

I don't even get mad about it anymore. Just totally apathetic amd think this will be my last season ticket for a while. got far better things I could do with my time, ever since that 2nd season in the prem (barring Carlos miracle season) has been an absolute disgrace. meh. don't even care anymore

Whilst that was a slightly better performance there is no getting away from the fact that we are not delivering on the basics. The second half tonight plus previous games have shown other teams are fitter than us. We regularly run out of steam and players become anonymous on the pitch. Once again our passing at crucial times comes into question as we seem to have the inate ability to give the ball away and see the opposition flood forward as a result. My final comment is about recruiting players who have had major injury problems or end up not having a full pre season workout. Maybe it’s just bad luck however for the last few years we have had more than our fair share of long term injuries in an already under strength squad or is it that the medical / coaching staff are just not up to keeping our players fit or having the ability to prevent absence from the team Bit on bold is the crucial thing. Our lack of quality with the ball is terrible, it really is. Watching that tonight, Brum have better players all over the pitch so losing there isnt any great disgrace or shock,, but what I find really difficult is watching these players show such a poor technique with the ball. Some of them cant accurately pass a ball to save their lives. We constantly give the ball away..not through any major press by the other team, just through a lack of quality. When you think how many thousands of youngsters DONT make the grade as a pro footballer..yet this lot did, even though for most of them there is no pass so easy and simple that they cant completely cock it up....repeatedly. Pitches are like bowling greens..you dont get a bad bounce like players used to! Theres no excuse. Thought the effort was good tonight though. We rode our luck and were still in it somehow right to the end. But christ this is a really bad slump we're in just now. And yes,,surely you have a point about the medical side. The amount of injuries we have is getting beyond a joke now. other than 21/22 when we were actually very injury free and got to Wembley, its been carnage since xmas 2020. Relentless carnage of injury on top of injury. There has to be something that isnt right..it seems bizarre that we could be so unlucky with injuries for so much of the last 4 years despite changing managers and coaches so often.

From the bits I’ve seen of us this season, it reminds me of the team we had under Ritchie followed by Ternent almost 20 years ago. A League 1 team full of League 1 players going absolutely nowhere.

We're all very disappointed and frustrated but I genuinely saw a better effort tonight against the league leaders. Just remember that the wheel always turns A wheel sometimes falls off and the vehicle is crashes and burns.

Wait was Pete actually on a windup this entire time? How dare you? If only you were aware of my personal circumstances tonight. I'm still choosing to be positive All the best with your personal circumstances, Pete (seriously, I've been going through the roughest patch of my life lately, too). But that doesn't change the facts on the ground regarding football and Huddersfield Town - and asking people how they 'dare' to 'deplorably' question your suggestion that 'things are on the up' after our fourth defeat in a row, in a league we expected to be pretty damn good in - is utterly ridiculous, I'm afraid! Good on you for seeing the silver lining, I suppose. But that doesn't make those who struggle to understand where on earth you're coming from 'deplorable'! Disagreeing with your views about football doesn't mean people wish you anything other than the best in your personal circumstances, I'm sure.

With 7 defeats in 8 games in League One, currently sitting 15th in the table.. I'm struggling to see how we are getting there.

On a positive note..............
When we actually play like we know we can...albeit just the first 30 minutes last night...high spending Birmingham were all over the place, couldn't compete with us. Bit similar at Peterborough..and odd flashes in other games.
So the formula is there, and the ability....but not for 90 minutes. So that's the question, are we not fit enough, are we so lacking in confidence or does Duff instruct them to ease off after a while, handing the initiative to Brum. Once we lose our mojo we are unable to get it back..why ?
So 'potentially' we are better than any team in this league when we actually play to our best.

This must be why Duff is pulling his hair out.....we have one of the most valuable squads in the league, they CAN play well but there is no method to the madness..... Could it be down to him not being there all week and every session with living away? Or with the owner not here there is no 'arse kicking' going on?

I don't think that makes any difference..there's loads of coaches at Town who are paid to put the players through their paces, there's physio's, performance specialists, Doctors...the lot. The 'boss' doesn't need to be leaning over their shoulders all the time. Same with KN, he won't be talking to individual players, he'll be talking to his management team. There's nothing worse for 2nd level management than the boss coming in undermining your authority . Duff is what, 3 hours drive away...and he'll have a car phone...and I expect some days he'll be there all day.
