Still not completely sure about Duff but we getting there. Still yet to have a 90 minute performance and the game management is a bit suspect but it’s good to feel better leaving the ground after the last few years

I agree re the game but I think calling our performances and results as a wobble does come across as more than a little underplayed. What would you call it then? We were absolutely C~@p.

What would you call it then? We were absolutely C~@p. Very true but isn’t that just what a wobble is - being crap for a bit between some good performances?

Absolutely nothing to fear on Tuesday. They were second best again today like they have been in a number of games and fortunate to take 3 points.
Go there to win and we'll be fine

Positives.
We won
Great first half.
Pearson Marshall, Wiles, Miller Turton & Kane were excellent.
Negatives
The second half.
Bojan can’t run he is so slow.
Lees passing through the middle
Yet another injury for Sorensen. (The team ).
I would start Ward and Marshall on Tuesday.

first 60 minutes fine/ good
after that, we were poor and started slacking off and doing things, that we weren't doing and that allowed rovers back into a game they shouldn't have being in.

Probably the most dominant Town have been against anyone in a long time in the first half. They were absolutely dreadful.

Feeling a bit miffed we won 3-1 is a strange feeling. It could and should have been a cricket score. In spite of our sloppiness, the score flattered Bristol Rovers.
For an hour it was a huge gulf in class. Then we took a foot off the gas (pun intended) and let them in. They made changes and freshened it up, and we were slow to match them.
Radulovic and Marshall looked like a partnership. The former linked up really well. He annoys me with some of his histrionics when challenged, but he did well to bring others in to play and looked a good player today. Marshall is a pest. He ran out of steam, but that’s also to be expected after his travels this week.
We continue to be our own worst enemies defensively. The goal was from us making a mess of things. That being said, in an entire 90-minute game, plus stoppage time, they did not threaten us in their own right at all. We were very, very solid. One shot on target against, and it went in. Compared to 10 in our favour. Create more, stop the opposition creating, and it’s a recipe for success.

At the risk of sounding negative - the lack of quality today was a bit frightening. They were truly appalling - that no4 must have won a raffle for his shirt! Can only beat what's in front of you and I do like duffs honesty, but today really confirmed for me how far we've regressed in 6 yrs. Will settle for 30 more though!!!

Good chance now for Turton to nail down a spot and take his chance like Pearson has done. Our squad depth is coping ok with these injuries so far but any Miller injury would hit us hard and could do with Healey contributing.

Dominated from start to finish, 3-0 it was realistically game over although they did pull one back it was never in doubt (although if they had taken advantage of that monumental cock-up things might have been different,) their goal gave them a bit of a lift but it was easy peasy in the end.

3 0 up, needed to change 2 strikers and Herbie who had all run out of legs.. Had 15 mins off conceeded one and could easily have shipped another. Changes made, no issues up to the final whistle. Why Duff didnt do it shortly after the third as we visibly lost control I dont know??? Everything but the early injury and failing to sub at the right time, went very well today. Miller motm by a mile for work in both halves...

Think chapmans case for permanent keeper is getting stronger by the game. No way Nicholls would’ve started off the move for the second goal.

I thought Turton played better today that Sorensen has in probably 90% of his games so far. Great pro to not even get a sniff on the bench to coming in and playing as well as he did.
Thought we absolutely battered them first 60 minutes but it was a combination then of us taking our foot off the gas and sitting back and them thinking fuck it and pushing forward .
Would hope after that we stop relaxing and start punishing teams more moving forward.
Great result though

Is he chuff. He's a good player for us. He played well about 2 months ago. All he does is moan to the ref and fall over. Him and miller are complete chalk and cheese, proven today by the fact that turton who has played about 5 times since Carlos left easily replaced him

Very true but isn’t that just what a wobble is - being crap for a bit between some good performances? No issue on that but what I see as a wobble is a couple of games below par. What we had was too many games at a vastly lower level than we can and should have played and lost too many without any fight or spirit. Let hope we have turned the corner now.

Thought it was a poor game and if we hadn't had made the breakthrough when we did we could possibly have struggled. I don't really share the enthusiasm for the performance, thought we were pretty average, thought Bristol are easily the worst we've come up against so far and we looked short on ideas as to how to break them down. I know it sounds a little churlish but I wasn't too enthused today, especially with the extremely sloppy period after our 3rd. God knows what Miller is doing where he is heading back towards his own goal, where ge was dispossessed, the lad has to score there.

Shite atmosphere today btw It's difficult in these lower key games espcially when you go in front. Fans kind of expect Town to win and for a while it was training ground stuff.
