Great result, especially with the owner present. Gives him some confidence that there's the makings of a decent side there and will hopefully make funds available for strengthening in Jan window for us to really push on into the serious part of the season.

I think it might also have something to do with the quality of football at this level? We have not been in League 1 for a number of years and the standard is poor at best. We deserve to be where we are but it’s quite hard to get excited just because we put together 4 consecutive passes that went to one of our own players. Attendance levels are really encouraging given the circumstances but unfortunately we have to accept that in most cases the players on show are at this level for a reason.

Town need to do something unexpected…… like being 2 down at Wrexham with 15 minutes to go and fighting back to win 3-2 with a last kick of the match penalty. Something like that can kick-start the atmosphere. At 3-0, we needed to keep going, go for the jugular and put them to the sword. But we backed off the Gas, literally, and gave them hope by allowing them more possession which eventually led to us conceding, and pretty quickly they could have got another. At 3-2, we’d have had a very squeaky bum last 15 minutes or so. Rovers fans singing 3-0 up and you f*#ked it up is what we could have had to endure. And no one wants to be on the end of that. Going from being totally dominant as we were, to second to the ball on multiple occasions and the rub of the green going against us never helps the atmosphere. But 3 wins on the bounce is a decent base to kick on from. UTT

Good win again and we need to keep up the level of the first hour if we want to compete at the top end of the table.

A lot to be said for Duff's comments. He made similar remarks after Barnsley. A lot of truth in them, in my opinion. The atmosphere will return eventually. Think Duff needs to get his own house in order before criticising the fans. He’s been generally poor this season but thankfully has now dropped his stubbornness and sorted out the gaping holes in the midfield for the last two games and we’ve looked better with a midfield two playing alongside each others with only one cm in a more advanced position. Today maybe the fans went flat after 60 because they were witnessing more bizarre tactical decisions from him, it was crying out for subs for a multitude of reasons but he spent 17 minutes not seeming to have a clue what to do. Id have been happy as larry with 3 or 4 subs at 3 0 and it stayed 3 0... Its a gift having 3 or 4 players on the bench who need a bit of game time and 3 or 4 on the pitch whò could do with coming off because of their fitness and a potentially difficult game on tuesday.. A bloody gift, that he refused. The game wasnt going oùr way even at 3 0 up at that time, so another reason for changes? ? You can only play whats put up against you and Bristol, even after winning their last 2 games were poor, but I do think a good deal of that was because we worked hard and made them look bad. 3 0 up does not mean you can ignore whats happening in front of you till they score and then almost immediately get another. I dont expect us to score more than 3 when we are on top in games, Im happy with 3 to be honest.. My expectations are not to hammer teams, I am happy to win even by one as long as we dont give the opposition 15 or 20 minutes free run of the pitch.

A good result, but I have to admit I felt bored watching it. I’ll take that every remaining game this season if it means 3 points!

A good win , I have no complaints , Rovers were poor , possibly the worst team we have encountered this season , must add , a great goal from Marshall , I hope the kid keeps progressing !

Where we erred was not making substitutes around the hour to combat their fresh legs. When we did, it was noticeable that we were playing further up the pitch. Bristol Rovers were never getting back into that game. They had one shot on target. They had one other chance which we gifted them and then stopped them getting a clean shot off with a better recovery than we’re giving credit for. It was frustrating that we allowed them a glimmer, but that’s all it ever was. The big thing was not taking our chances. We should have been out of sight after an hour. 5-0 would have been a more accurate reflection. But we, once again, weren’t clinical enough so when we did ease off it looked like we put ourselves under pressure. Which we didn’t, really.

We had limited opposition today, right down there with what Barnsley offered until we went 3 up. They changed the plan and went all out. Tried to feed balls through or over the top to to pacy subs like Forde. Worryingly we looked rocky. Good teams will do the same from moment 1. Need to believe 100% and not go into the shell. Good 3 points but better teams will feast on our weaknesses.

Town went 3 up then all a sudden the whole team thought job done, the gasmen fired a couple of warning shots with the home fans asking why isn't the manager warming the subs up & looking at changing it.
Straight after Rovers scored the subs were sent out, by the time changes were made it should have been 3-2, the correct subs were made eventually but MD needs to react a lot quicker (IMO)........Atmosphere in ground for the last half hour was very earie for a team who were 3-0 in front.

Best thing about today was seeing a family bring a new fan to the match in front of us. Clearly loved it and made a big fuss of the little one. Hopefully a fan who comes to more. Warmed the heart of a cynical old cumudgeon.

Listening to Duff’s comments maybe my “negative” thoughts on the second half were wrong.
He says the atmosphere feels weird- muted.
He is right but that is all down to those last 6 or 7 seasons. However, we can’t live in the past. We have to make the JSS a horrible place for away teams to come. It’s time to crank up the atmosphere.

Warmed the heart of a cynical old cumudgeon. It was a good crowd today. Seemed to be alot more than the Barnsley league match. I was chuckling to myself at three young lads about 12 years old sat on the front row of the kilner bank giving Jack Hunt stick and wondering if they knew why. They'd have been bairns when he played for us. Further down the aisle was a lass about 6 or 7 with her old man. She was enjoying the atmosphere and getting excited with the goals etc. I really hope Town can keep ticket prices cheap. As Radulovic said, there's not alot else to do round here. It's not a rich place but the local football club can act as a way of promoting some civic pride and we need it because there only seems to be negative storyline whenever Huddersfield is mentioned in the news.

todays highlights, sadly only 2 minutes, no replays. Just watched those goals back. Kudos to Lonwijk for driving forward to make the second and third goals, his pace and positivity from the back made the difference - that outside of the foot pass to Miller for the Radulovic goal was pure class

Another step in the right direction. The shape looks better and the players look happier in it. Confidence is building slowly but we need to maintain the momentum.
The last 3 games have been a significant improvement on the 6 previously, Bolton aside. That is encouraging and it perhaps points to how much work is actually required to find a way of playing and change the mindset. I was probably as guilty as many in hoping that after a strong start the corner of the past had been turned. In truth we are probably still in that process.
I don't have any problem with Duff's observation on the crowd mood. The interview with Oggy was realistic and honest. It showed he is learning about the club and recognises why people are just a little sceptical. His comment about building/earning trust was 100% on the money and is something that is also true of the club in general. I think he may have made this point upwards too. It's going to take a while to get everybody on the same page. If we as fans can accept that everyone at the club is bought in and trying to move forward in a fresh direction then we will really start to get behind the project that is the Nagle regeneration. However, it will take a good few more convincing performances to do that. There is still an, understandable, fragility in the confidence from the stands that will continue for a while yet.
More immediately we move onto an intriguing challenge on Tuesday. We need a catalytic game somewhere to really change the narrative, pretty much like Stockport away did for the 1st Warnock era. I don't know if Tuesday night will be that type of occasion as I don't sense that level of confidence across the squad, yet. It is however a good marker for the progress made in the past 3 weeks and a challenge I hope the players will embrace fully.
What's that saying? Rome wasn't built in a day. True, but let's hope the foundations started are solid.

Brilliant to get the 3 points. The TVs went off in our sports bar in Mauritius - everyone crowded round my phone to watch town seal the win! Show off I’ve been nothing to show off about one of my least favourite places I’ve been to.

Best thing about yesterday was the scrote and his Dad who sit next to me constantly kicking the seats in front with no consideration for the people around them didn't turn up for the second league game running. Hopefully they sit somewhere else now but as long as they don't return to their normal seats I really don't care. Funniest thing about yesterday was Rovers fans singing 'Premiership and you f**ked it up'. From fans of a side that will never experience that was hilarious.

At the risk of sounding negative - the lack of quality today was a bit frightening. They were truly appalling - that no4 must have won a raffle for his shirt! Can only beat what's in front of you and I do like duffs honesty, but today really confirmed for me how far we've regressed in 6 yrs. Will settle for 30 more though!!! That thought hit me at about 75 minutes and I left.

Think chapmans case for permanent keeper is getting stronger by the game. No way Nicholls would’ve started off the move for the second goal. Thought he was decent today. Very calm and good with his feet. Got the ball out well and played his part in one of the goals. I would take his poorer shot stopping for his distribution. We look so much better with him pinging it about. However he nearly dropped a clanger and should have maybe done better for their goal.

Shite atmosphere today btw Agree. At 3-0 you would have thought we were on the wrong side of that score. Duff is correct in everything he says about the atmosphere. It is weird. At 3 0 up we stopped playing and watched them for 15 minutes. They scored and really should have scored again before the obvious subs were finally made. I think you have a mixture of relief we got the third because the fear of conceeding is strong with us and disbelief that at 3 0 up we just stopped competing, running or doing anything much? After the subs the game was seen out easily and the crowd relaxed a bit. In a game where we were not threatened even a wee bit for 60 odd minutes we could have easily been 3 2 with ten minutes left? Its up to Duff to sort out the issue of us dissappearing for periods in games, not the crowd.

Anyone taking issue with duffs post match comments aren’t accepting them for what they..honest and truthful. We seem to be improving and looking much more comfortable, the midfield tweak has led to that. Thought we were very comfortable yesterday with exception of 5/10 minutes when they through subs on a bit more caution to the wind,as well as a change of shape. We just took a bit of time to adjust to all those things which is natural. Some of the sides in this division it has to be side are very average at best in reality they’re poor. I agree we could need a catalytic result/performance…winning the next 2 against top 4 sides and going 4 wins on the bounce could just be that and little by little that will get the fans on side and more engaged.I actually have a fair amount of confidence for Tuesday for some reason,it’s the Exeter game I worry about 🤷🏻 Shame Sorensen could now be out although duff said was fairly precautionary. If he’s out means have to shuffle the pack again even with Brodie back.It might be a game to keep turton in at wing back if Sorensen is out because McLean will try every trick in the book.

Let’s see. I’m as positive as anyone. In fact I’m overly optimistic on most game and player based threads. Off the pitch investment is looking great at the moment, 100% back Nagle and always have. I also back any Town manager 100% but will draw the line when the manager questions the atmosphere in the ground yesterday. It was only moments ago we lost at home to Northampton and Blackpool and barely laid a glove at Birmingham. So he’ll have to forgive me not wanting to dance the night away. It’s still early and we have enough to get us over the line this season, if we consistently perform the crowd noise will come. But it’s dribs and drabs during games. We are good for a bit, then crap for a bit, which mutes any momentum with the crowd. It was hardly a classic yesterday, a typical League One standard game, but as a fan I expect more to come.
